I called asking if they sell melting chocolate that doesn't have to be tempered, but high quality. Unlike wilton melts that are synthetic and terrible. I came in and asked if it was "Gazebo Party and Gift" because it was the same address. The girl told me that they had taken over the shop and changed it to a chocolate shop. They had a ton of different gift baskets perfect for Christmas gifts. They had different kinds of melting chocolate, chocolate bars, treats etc. I'm glad I found this place. It was pretty busy. Yes it is pricey, but you get what you pay for.

Not only is she incredibly helpful, but she is a very sweet & will share any of her extensive knowledge with you. That is probably the best part. When I leave, I have learned something new every time. She offers a range of classes as well. She has kept the shop fully stocked with must-have items for both professional and amateur bakers and treat-makers. You can find things here that you just can't find anywhere else.{+ TONS of disco dusts, pearls dusts, Americolor food colorings, hard-to-find ingredients, and MUCH, much more} And if you can't find it, she will surely order it for you! She also carries a HUGE array of molds and has an amazing selection of Mercken's chocolate. If you are using any store-brand chocolate wafers for candy-making, I urge you to pay Gazebo a visit. I for one, am so grateful that we have this shop in our town, as my cakes and treats are always MUCH better with the amazing supplies I can purchase at Gazebo. Recommended to anyone I know.

Katie and her team are so friendly and always have yummy freshly baked goods like delicious gluten free peanut butter cookies, cupcakes, brownies, pineapple upside down cake, all sorts of baked goodies. I can't decide if my favorite sandwich is the good ole BLT or the Chicken salad on the croissant they are both so yummy! They have lots of other things too. There is a beautiful outdoor patio and live music concerts about once a month when the weather is nice. You have to check on Facebook to see who is playing. It's really great! I wholeheartedly recommend that you check out lovely Mendota and visit their sweet general store The Store at Mendota. Oh and I nearly forgot, free wi-fi & free parking!! Don't underestimate free wi-fi when you are out in the middle of God's gorgeous country because you're unlikely to get a signal.

Much of the operation is supported by volunteers, and their mission is to empower women overcoming employment barriers while investing 100% of their net profits to help children and families facing adversity. I had actually tried their chocolates before at Taste of Kingsport and really enjoyed them. One thing I like is that they use a thinner chocolate shell, so you're not biting through a thick chunk of chocolate like you do with some specialty candies. Instead, the focus is on the flavorful ganache centers. My favorite is probably the coffee flavor. During the tour, they shared the history and mission of the organization, showed us the production area, and explained how the equipment and chocolate-making process work. At the end, we were able to sample four different chocolates from various categories, which was a nice way to wrap up the experience. Everyone we met was friendly and welcoming, making it an enjoyable and informative visit.
