Straight out of the hills of Virginia; true Southern Atmosphere…read more The store was recently remodeled, a much needed improvement; good job there crew. The groceries and the like are always neatly placed and current on their dated stock. The staff is, unfortunately, always new as there's a high turnover of employees in this location. This is sorrowful as some of the people are genuinely good people but they're here and gone. Stop by and purchase the 'name brands' only as some products are questionable , but stick to the known national brands and you'll be good to go. Stop by, it's easy to find and easy on the grocery experience.

The store is nestled between the crossroads of two states and is a different experience; but the staff of bag girls and guys is a compliment to the store. The great side is, I locked myself out of the car. This was a first after decades of driving ! The manager noticed the problem and offered the vital information; call the cops and they'll get you taken care of. The manager was spot on, the young cop did his duty and was rewarded for his efforts. A tip of the hat for the area. Safe and not sorry ! Go there and enjoy good ol' Virginia coal miners food choices and stay away from the bakery, you'll get a fat belly !

There were flies everywhere, the meat cases/coolers were filthy with dried blood. The entire time that we were walking through looking no one acknowledged us. The store was absolutely incredible! I totally forgot that I had this on my itinerary but this…read morestore is absolutely one of the cheapest health food stores that I've ever been to. A lot of items are literally just one to three dollars. It's better than a Black Friday deal. I don't know if that's how things are daily if I was a frequent customer. This store also features coffee which I did not purchase any. But I did buy a lot of snacks for the ride home. Staff here was very friendly, the hours might be a bit weird but overall I recommend shopping here! The only downside I would say is that there is a lack of selection. I was very satisfied that I bought a few energy digestion shots each one is a dollar where normally at other stores there are a few bucks a piece!

Bristol, Va. This bakery was our go to place for breakfast…read moreduring our week in Bristol. At first I was skeptical because of the long line that didn't seem to be moving. As it turns out there are a couple of ladies who really know how to run the show here. The line does move along efficiently and the lead lady communicates with the staff quite efficiently. There is also another lady who is a wizard of the espresso machine, it is a good thing they have her. On our first day there she came in late and this other lady took FOREVER to make our lattes, which turned out weak and milky. On follow up visits the wizard swiftly prepared our caffeinated beverages with great skill. The bean they use here has a good flavor but the espresso lacks boldness. The end product is just not rich enough, but it will do. The quiches are excellent, we always went with bacon Swiss or Loraine. They are a good size with a nice flakey crust, The granola yogurt parfaits are pretty good, the granola has a nice crunch to it. The yogurt was a bit sweet, it may be Chobani, but it went very well with the extra cup of berries you can purchase on the side. These berries by the way were fresh and beautiful. All the cookies we tried were great. They make a perfect affogato here, very addicting. I'm not sure if it's on the menu, but ask and you shall receive. The ice cream here is of a great quality, very creamy. The lemon berry tarts are way too sweet, they missed the boat on this one. I could not eat more than half of one. They did give us 15% off on the tarts because they were a couple days old. The candied pecans look good but the nuts are a bit rancid. All that sugar can't hide that.

VERY hard to decide - settled on Lemon-infused olive oil. Oh, my, what a fresh, smooth, light and yet intense/distinct lemon flavor - this is definitely not your ordinary olive oil! Have already used to saute scallops and spinach and also in my favorite pasta salad - just amazing how much flavor this oil adds without heaviness/oiliness or overpowering the main food!
