What a fun place to get lost in! Immediately upon walking in we were greeted by the sweetest lady telling us all about a fun turtle scavenger hunt that if you found a turtle, a special discount would apply to your purchase anywhere from 5%-100% off. I mean right off the bat I was ready to start to looking as well as pick through all of the fun vintage finds! All the staff was so nice and having fun and for my own guilty enjoyment it kept my boyfriend distracted looking for these turtles while I shopped! When I say the store is endless- you think you've hit a dead end and then all of sudden a new section opens up like a black hole sucking you in. Most times I'm overwhelmed but this much inventory but the each booth was so well organized and prices were clearly visible that it made browsing so much fun and enjoyable. Staff were also all scattered about and willing to help patrons. Make sure to give yourself plenty of time when you go so that you can browse peacefully. This place is awesome! 2 of my daughters brought me here for the first time. We had so much fun. I had never been before, and we were there for hours, I was exhausted when we left, and I still don't feel like I saw it all. I can't wait for a chance to go back alone and just walk around on my own. It looks like a mini mall, when you walk in, it is one of those places that different vendors sell different things, from furniture to Knick knacks. They have something for everyone. My mother loves these types of antique, junk, vintage, shops. You will find things you didn't know you needed. I can't wait to bring her. It is 2 floors, the stairs to the lower level can be difficult if you are older or have walking issues. I do not know if they have an elevator. I don't look this time, but will next time. Very interesting and unique place! That have all these individual shops where vendors sale all sorts of items... antiques, artwork, woodworking to toys and comics! With two floors to check out you could be here for awhile! My first visit just happened to be the first Saturday of the month, that just happens to be a treasure hunt day. Where you can find plastic tokens worth extra savings.. from 10% -100% off! I found one worth 50% of my purchase. I found a few old printer letters like what my grandfather used when working at the gannet newspaper. Great place to check out so many different items. read more

I haven't been here since they changed names a long time ago. Honestly I remember why now. I could spend hours in this place looking at all the booths. Upon walking in I was greeted by amazing staff explaining the scavenger hunt game they were having for discounts. I am not one that is good at those types of games so I didn't even bother trying. I would suggest planning on a bit of time to walk thru the shops. So many different items from handmade, furniture and other household items. There is a lot to look at and shop. They do have a cafe with food. They have restroom facilities and they do have handicap accessible ways to get downstairs. There is a sign to ask for staff for assistance. I made sure I stopped by country shop creations because I watch her live demos on Facebook and she makes some amazing food. I shop at the shops here regularly. The cool thing about it is anytime there's a holiday birthday or celebration and I need a gift. There is so much to choose from. You can get lost in the place. There's so much to look at and see. The people are pleasant at the counter as they greet you and any information you need on an item or products they can usually answer that. Prices are awesome and I'd recommend anybody to go just to check it out because you'll be impressed. read more

Nifty little place where you can find just about anything! Each little "shop" within the "Shops at Ridge" is unique. Some have hand crafted items, while other have antiques and re-purposed items and you will even find some sports collectibles. Its truly a place for both men and women who like to browse for the unusual and one of a kind items. There are 2 floors and it will take you 2-3 hours to truly peruse each "shop". There are bathrooms as well as a cafe. At the beginning of each month they have a token hunt for discounts. And, each December they have A Christmas Carol characters walking around the store for you to interact with etc. No haggling or bargaining here though. This is not a yard sale. read more

Warning: Do not go to the Shops on Westridge if you're looking for a quick trip. This is an afternoon adventure at best, an all-day excursion if you're really dedicated. You've been warned. I've been to the Shops on Westridge three times. Each of these visits was before Christmas. I remember walking in the first time thinking, "oh, this looks nice!" and then I discovered an entire downstairs level and I knew instantly how Dorothy felt when she opened the door of her black and white room and found Technicolor on the other side. The blue skies shone. Bluebirds chirped. Angels sang the Hallelujah chorus. I was in heaven. Do you like antiques? Good, you'll find a good selection. Looking for unique gifts? You're covered. Need holiday decor? Show up in November. Paint? Food? Books? Furniture? Yes. Yep. Uh huh. Got it. They really do have something for everyone here, including a little cafe in the back on the main level because trust me, you're going to get hungry. There is ample parking. They have two bathrooms and I have yet to encounter a line at either one. The temperature inside is comfortable. Everything is clean and the aisles are plenty wide. The people are nice. Everything is marked well. They have maps and pencils. Sometimes there are opportunities to win gift baskets or other prizes. Oh yeah, and shopping carts downstairs. Not just hand baskets; actual shopping carts! Things you can lean against that help hold you up when you've already spent three hours on the upstairs level. This was my first trip here I really enjoyed it! There was so much to take it it could be almost overwhelming and you need sometime to shop so I highly recommend setting aside a day like a Sunday to spend here taking your time. Most of the items on the first floor were new or trinkets. I loved the bottom floor much better with all the furniture and larger size antiques more of what I am looking for when decorating my house. I remember when this Co-op was still located in Hilton before moving to this place in Greece. The co-op currently operates under "The Shops on West Ridge." Many of the awesome dealers remain, along with a bunch of new, smaller dealers who specialize in crafts and home goods. Prices are pretty good all around, and there is always something new and interesting to see. The great christmas traditions from the original Hilton Co-op carried over and continue to this day. The staff is super friendly and if you come with a group of friends or family, there are more than enough booths for everyone to find a treasure. There are two floors and it is easy to to spend an afternoon here, so plan accordingly. read more

I just visited for the first time, and LOVED IT. I'm on the hunt for interesting items to round out my office / personal yoga studio. I found the prices for what I was looking for very reasonable. I will warn you, this is not a quick stop. I was in there easily for two hours looking at everything and got turned around a few times and couldn't find what I was looking at before. I suggest taking a picture on your phone and the booth its in. Some of the merchandise is a bit hokey, and generic... but if you have time to spend it's worth it. There were so many fun and unique items it was almost overwhelming. You will find antiques, things that have been refinished, clothing items, accessories, food items. The staff was lovely and very helpful. Today I purchase a very beautiful agate pendant and a VERY reasonable price and an interesting drawer, thing to use in my office. I plan to go back very soon. If you follow the rules and contact via phone to hold an item, and you're told its on hold dont expect it to be actually followed through and that to be upheld. I had someone drive an hour away for them to realize they put it on hold for someone else. A Sunday they had told me in order to hold it I would either have to be on my way or pay for it in full before even seeing it with a card over the phone. I wasn't comfortable with that and I said I'd call again Thursday when the open again to hold it when my dad was on his way so I called at lunch. They confirmed it was on hold. Then my dad gets there and someone on Facebook messaged earlier and said it was on hold for THEM with no money down and they were not on their way. They also showed up 40 minutes late for their pick up time, they wouldn't conced the item to us half an hour after the time. It wasn't right how the building owner or the stall owner handled the situation at all. Two hour trip wasted. Would not expect them to uphold anything they say. read more

With so many unique small businesses under one roof, shopping here is such fun! A lot of the items are handmade, recycled, or vintage, which I really appreciate. There are many home decor items, collectibles, and vintage clothing. I spend a few hours shopping on both levels and often stop at the cafe for a snack. The customer service is awesome. I love the shops on west Ridge! It's like a ton of in person etsy shops. There is a wide price range for items, so you can get things at any price point. There are a ton of unique gifts and home goods. Be prepared to take at least a couple of hours to look through it all, and this may not be the best place to visit at the end of a long day. If you can't find something anywhere else in town, definitely come to look for it here. read more

You will either like this shop or completely hate it. A lot of the reviews on here kept telling me "AVOID" but I'm weak when it comes to antiques, low priced items, and rare merchandise. I eventually said 'whatever' and gave it a try. Trying to get into this place was already a problem with the building nearly tucked away beneath Ridge Road, I ended up missing it twice and wasted about a quart of gas going in circles. After the roundabouts, I got in the parking lot and took about two more minutes to find a space to park...all but three were taken, and they were in the back next to a giant, unwelcoming snow pile...bleh. Walking inside, I sort of just stood there confused because of the many ways I could've began looking around. The lady at the front desk snapped me out of my thought processing with a nice "hello" and I quickly smiled and replied as I made my way to the right (left was the cash registers). I wandered around the entire upper level for a while taking notice that this place is mainly for people who have a crap load of money to spend. Most of the items were of vintage nature, not limited to furniture and jewelry but also plants and pictures. It's sort of like a flea market but the cubicles are just openly displayed without anyone attending them...but on rare occurrences there are people at their own booths. I prefer them not to be since I find that them looking at me shop just pressures me to either quickly buy something or just leave altogether...I don't do well around crowds. If you want to buy something, you have to take the item from that booth, put it in a shopping basket (they provide ones for you) and take it to the cash register where they accept cash and credit...but no checks. With the amount of booths in this place, it will most likely eat up about an hour or two if you sweep the entire complex top and bottom...yes there is a lower level to. I spent most of my time in a booth with CD's that were $2, Buy 5 get one free so I managed to get a nice amount of Carly Simon's and Beach Boy's in great condition. The other booths had items I was interested...mainly anything with model cars or trains which were in high supply, I just wasn't willing to pay what the seller was wanting. There is also an event area on the main level that houses different collectibles from sellers spread out across tables that alternate weekly I believe. Bargains there are most likely out of the question. For bargains other than the top floor, the bottom floor has more or the less the same amount of knick-knacks and trinkets that either cost too much or have no real purpose other than to say "I'm awesome, admire me". I did find a whole booth dedicated to cars but I had to contain myself from buying everything I saw in there, I would've been broke. I found navigation around the bottom and main levels to be fairly simple with each path leading to a separate booth with no possibility of getting to a dead end. There is also a back staircase that no one nearly knows about but that's because it's tucked away in the back left corner of the store next to the café...yes there's a café. That eating area is mostly ideal when you are shopping for an extended period of time without eating prior to going. I never got to see what they were offering but considering the amount of people sitting in there...I don't see much options. I only ended up spending about $25 dollars on my first visit after locating the cash registers...seeing how I kind of was stuck in a loop conundrum. I can really only recommend these shops to dedicated collectors who have the time and money to browse here. For me, I'm more than happy to come back to see what's new, but probably only on a monthly basis. read more

This place should be called "knock off country crap" If you are a fan of gingham covered mason jars, or painted metal nautical stars, antique furniture white washed then sanded, or wooden ducks wearing plaid bows--then this is the place for you. If you want real antiques or vintage items in excellent condition--go somewhere else. Just because it is old--doesn't make it worth a lot of money-- or if an item is cracked, dented, damaged with paint loss does not make it shabby chic. Too many knock offs and reproductions mixed in. This is not for the antique lover--more for the suburban decorator. read more

Love this place! They have everything from furniture to handcrafted gifts. It is a large building with 2 floors so plan to spend some time wandering around. This is one of the co-op type of places with the vendors from each individual shops wandering around the building helping customers. There is a central cash register to make it easy to purchase many different things. There are so many interesting and unique things to see. Many bring back memories. Everything is reasonably priced. I would not recommend this establishment. People were unprofessional rude and in our experince they also lacks ethics. We placed an item on hold for pick up, verified with email, items was moved up front for us to pick up as arranged, and somehow was sold out from under us to someone who walked in and saw it on the shelf waiting for us to pick up, the day we were supposed to get it. The staff up front thought that was funny. We drove 40 miles and did not even get an aplolgy for their mistake. The attitude was one of "Oh well to bad.". I would avoid doing business of any kind with "The Shops of Westridge." They are simply not trustworthy in our expierence. read more

This place is a delightful one to browse if you have time and enjoy antiques, quirky items and, well, junk. I came to see what the big yearly sale was all about, and then explored the inside in which each vendor had signs posted indicating the discount for their particular items. While downstairs I found a small chair that caught my fancy. There were multiple green signs from that vendor indicating that her merchandise was 60% off. Two clerks downstairs congratulated me for my find and one checked to verify that this chair was indeed 60% off. It certainly was! They said. One brought it upstairs to "hold it" for me, insisting that I keep shopping. I should have gone with my first instinct, to purchase the thing and take it to my car. Around 45 minutes later I am ready to pay for it and leave. Eventually it is found (for some reason no one knew where it was), one clerk compliments it and wishes she had seen it, and then another one tells me it is only 10% off, not 60%! The clerk downstairs who verified the discount is no where to be found. There is no indication in that vendor area that there are some items that are not 60% off. I hate to think that one of the workers there decided she wanted it while I was shopping. Whether or not that is the case, they were not apologetic or warm at all. So this used to be called the Craft Antique Co-Op, now known as The Shops on West Ridge. I actually liked the old name better. Anyway, this is situated on West Ridge Road near Adventure Landing and Lowes plaza. I was kind of confused as to what it exactly was at first, but it seems like a place where people can rent little cubicle-like areas and set up their areas for shoppers to walk by and see what they want to buy. The person who owns that stuff isn't actually present; you grab what you want and bring it to the checkout counter. The layout is basically like a large open room that has been divided into cubicles and sections where you can go through seemingly random items. I've seen things from full furniture sets to antique fishing rods to pocket knives to authentic German steins. There are two floors to this place. The main entrance is the 1st floor and there are steps to the basement, which is similar in layout. The 1st floor has a cafe area towards the posterior right side where there are sandwiches and some beverages. I have never eaten here. As far as quality and variety, I think the appropriate phrase here is "one man's junk is another man's treasure." There is all kinds of stuff here, mostly old, used, vintage stuff that in all intents and purposes, are junk. You might find a treasure here and there or something unique that has decorative value, but if you're trying to find something for a practical purpose, I doubt this is the place. The only things I saw that may serve a useful purpose were the various glasses, pitchers, tea sets, plates, pocket knives, and furniture. Otherwise, you're looking at an extensive antique store. This is probably one of the larger antique stores I've seen. I don't come here very often because it's certainly not my niche or style, but we actually stopped by last Friday after dinner because we saw some lights and we were curious as to what was going on. Apparently they were having some sort of sale and Friday was the last day. Overall, I think some people would really enjoy shopping at a place like this. Probably people who enjoy the country style decor, antique collectors, etc. For me, I prefer buying stuff that hasn't been used or collecting dust. read more

Love the Shops! It is always a great place to spend a snowy Saturday, so much to see and such a variety. Everything from crafts to antiques, with repurposed items and furniture in between. Some of the booths are maintained by true artisans others are like picking through your great-grandmothers attic. My favorite is the white room that was featured in another review. Speaking as a vendor, the community there is very helpful and friendly. The vendors are all independent businesses and they rent spaces with rent based on square footage, utilities incl. and no commission taken on sales. However vendors have to work several full days a month as unpaid volunteers or they are charged (they only have a few full time employees, so the vendors help run the business. This does seem strange because it seems to be in violation of NYS labor laws saying that only non-profit organizations can have volunteers acting as full-time employees, but who knows how they slice and dice it). Due to the days (the number is determined based on the booth's sq ftg) you have to buy out ($20 ea) if you don't want to work there several full days a month, the booths end up being somewhat pricey. The hours compared to other co-op places fall somewhere in the middle, not terrible, not great; Thursday through Sunday 10-6. There are several sales throughout the year that everyone is part of. The Shops do not take commission. The name is misleading, people don't automatically understand it is an antique co-op. Sales are good around Christmas. Overall, a 6 out of 10 for vendors. read more

The shops on Westridge are best described as an odd lot. There's a lot of everything from vintage furniture to homemade items and lots in between. It's not my favorite shop, but I do go once or twice a year when I'm in the area. On the plus side, it's very clean and well organized. The individual booths are not cluttered and the sales staff is mostly helpful. On the negative side, it's a bit off the main drag (my GPS had no problem) and the parking is limited. I've gone about three times now; twice with no luck but the third time was the charm. I bought two small pieces of furniture that were a nice find at a nice price. A great place for an afternoon's browse and you'd have to be dead not to find something here you absolutely HAVE to have (in fact even if you are dead you may still find something useful, as there was on at least one occasion a coffin for sale here - unused, one hopes). Loses a star as a lot of the "craft" side of things is actually resale from wholesale mass producers of cutesy little wooden signs, garden stakes and the like, though there are some genuinely talented artists and craftspeople here. They have regular special events including a garden show in the Spring, silent auctions, book and document displays and sales and professional antique appraisals (usually up to 3 items for a very low fee compared to most appraisal services). Not all the antique dealers are professionals so if you're considering investing a lot of money in an item make sure that you know what you're doing as there is a no return policy, and it's on you if the dealer doesn't actually make any written claim as to an item being genuine. The building is bigger on the inside than on the outside so plan on spending the day - there is a small cafeteria (good basic homemade food, and all made to order so don't be impatient if it's busy) so you won't starve! read more

This place is a hidden gem! They have vintage old stuff and new cool stuff plus the vendors are pretty crafty with handmade things too! There are 2 floors and a lot to look at. Plan on spending a few hours here. My grandma is in a wheelchair and they were so nice about it they have a hi tech chair lift for anyone needing help! They have a cool cafe too I had the best panini sandwich ever turkey swiss with spinach and cranberry mayo! These people know how to perfectly press panini toasty and melted! My bf had a vegetarian pizza with heirloom tomatoes and caramelized onion and fennel with fresh mozzarella and basil pesto for sauce! They even had vegan options like tofu scramble! My mom and grandma shared a Turkey club and it was huge it was cut in half instead of little triangles and they said it was the best they have had. Really simple and sooooo good! This place has it all shopping and food! They are only open 4 days a week until the holidays. Thursday thru Sunday. Was terribly disappointed in this establishment that I go to somewhat often periodically. Found a piece today, 9/27/15 that I was interested in and there was a sign posted in the booth that everything was 50% off. I liked the piece very much but not at the original price. After I dragged the piece around the entire downstairs to keep looking and finally dragged it upstairs, without any staff coming to me to offer to take it up for me by the way, I was told after some time at checkout that the piece was not really 50% off; that the vendor had put the wrong tag on it.. The woman who I first talked to went down to look at the booth and confirmed that they probably used the wrong tags. She reassured me that I would still be able to get it at half price because of the sign in the both. The had to call the vendor of the booth to confirm HER mistake in the signage and that she should honor the 50% off sign. However, much to my dismay, the person who talked with her told me that she would take $10 off!!!! I walked out. This is very poor business practice. Amateurish at the least. You should not be in business if you are going to treat customers like this. The person who talked with her came back and said she was "very concerned" and not happy (apparently that she had placed the wrong sign, even though it says clearly EVERYTHING in this booth is 50% OFF. I wish I had thought to say, the vendor SHOULD have said, PLEASE GIVE MY APOLOGIES TO THE CUSTOMER. I left empty handed stating that I was NOT happy. This is the second time this has happened to me at Shops on West Ridge. You guys really need to tighten up your operation. read more
