These shops stand out in the area, where most of Provo and Orem feels very dated, the shops at Riverwoods is modern and upscale. This is a beautiful open air mall with nice restaurants and unique shops. We were here visiting and brought some friends who had not been to Provo in years and they were so impressed! This is definitely my wife's preferred location in the area to shop or dine. read more

I liked it. I will be returning because it is a beautiful place. First off for the positive. I love the beauty of this place! It is cozy and upbeat. It makes you want to stay awhile to just take in the vibe of the place. For the not so favorite parts of this place, it seemed like the culture of people shopping here was a little stuck up. It is higher end shopping. I did love seeing some people talking and making enjoyable conversation. Also, a negative was many people had to use the restrooms. We waiting in line for 35 minutes with a toddler running around waiting. There are only two bathrooms. Many shoppers gave up. Hope they were okay lol! But definitely not the funnest situation. read more

I love the Riverwoods, and every time I happen to be there, I wonder why I don't come more often! There are so many shops and popular restaurants here, with plenty of parking and an accessible location just outside of Provo Canyon. I will be back in the next week for a bite to eat! Note that the restaurants and shops are typically higher priced, which might be why I don't come often. The outdoor areas are BEAUTIFUL and clean. I love the effort that goes into decorations during the holidays, so many lights and fun photo opportunities, like large signs and Santa for the kids. It's a shame they cannot keep shops there but there are a few new places like a cake decorating place which would be fun to try. It's a fun place to check out with less crowds but still cute shops to check out. read more

The Shops At Riverwoods seems to be a very popular spot. There's only a handful of shops there. There's more options for food than actual shopping. It seems like a lot of the stores went out of business or are going to go out of business. Most of the people that go out shopping here seem to be a bit more dressed up than they would be if they were going to a regular mall-I got a few dirty looks from other people shopping and a few employees of different shops because I was wearing sweatpants and a baggy sweater (I'm pregnant and it's hard for me to find maternity clothes so that's all I have right now). Employees from Called to Surf avoided me as if I was a walking version of COVID and none of them asked me if I needed help or anything. They were all pretty quick to help my friend and the few other people in the store but when I asked a question about a dress, one of the employees there was clearly annoyed I was talking to her. Bath & Body Works is always a good place to shop at. Everyone there is really nice. The swimsuit shop is super cute. The lady working there was really nice and awesome about answering questions. I really like how it's an outdoors shopping center. The decor of the area changes based on the holidays. It's really pretty during Christmas time. If you want a better experience, I suggest you dress up a little bit. A lot people will help you out and be nicer to you. read more

Personally I'm a big fan of The Riverwoods. I think it's a great little shopping mall with an eclectic selection of shops, restaurants, and entertainment options. For the most part you don't find the tired, boring shops that you find at most shopping malls. These are clothing, toy and furniture boutiques with unique finds and great shopping experiences. I've eaten at many of the restaurants nearby and my favorites are Seven Brothers, RR BBQ, and Malawis. They often have fun little events throughout the year and their santa clause is great and free during christmas time. read more

I've been here many, many times! I lived in Provo for around 8 years, and this is one of the nicest shopping areas in the city. It's located near the base of the Canyon too, so it's a bit out of the way of the university area and feels a bit more upscale. They have some higher end store, but also some more affordable ones too. It's an outdoor mall that has some cool events going on during holidays. Check it out. read more

I went here around 4PM on a weekday and this place was dead. They definitely could use a cool coffeeshop or some offices or apartments here to resurrect this place. Overall, it's a really nice atmosphere for shopping...just wish I saw some more shoppers. read more

I've lived in Utah most of my life, so I remember when the Riverwoods first opened, declined, and from what I understood, nearly went completely bankrupt. So when they were bought by a new owner, revitalized and filled with (almost) all completely new stores I wasn't sure how well they'd do. Now, the Shops at the Riverwoods truly provide a unique experience for Utah Valley. There are bigger malls in SLC, but The Shops at the Riverwoods are intimate and fun. In the winter they offer free carriage rides, in the summer there are fountains for kids to play in. There are a variety of fun restaurants to try and, having tried all of them, you can't go wrong (except with La Jolla Groves). The twinkle lights, fountains, and fires are romantic, and occasionally they host a local artist or event and those are always very well done. It's a great place to spend an evening! read more

A great outdoor shopping and hangout spot, especially in the warm weather months when you can sit on benches and listen to local artists share their music at the central pavilion. It is home to some great restaurants and shops like Tucanos, La Jolla Grove, Marley's Gourmet Sliders, Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory, Mountain Olive Oil Company, Blickenstaff's toys, games, and candy, the Provo Beach Resort, and other small clothing shops and specialty stores. There are many great events occurring here throughout the year such as Chalk the Block, Christmas lights and free Carriage rides throughout the holiday time, ice sculpting displays, and other fun things. Clean and well maintained, this is a great place for dates, families, or even solo trips. read more

Fun place to visit. The outside walking mall is nice and totally upscale. Not your average mall. There are only a couple of chain stores in this mall. Instead look forward to unique shops and stores. Restaurants are non chains as we'll. In the summer months there is located in the major walk way a place where small children can play in the fountains that shoot up from the concrete, to play in water and stay cool. This is a fantastic mall for grown-up tastes! Williams Sonoma, fine clothing, fun restaurants and a great atmosphere to stroll. They were just redoing the white lights along the tree rows while we were there. I wish we had tried the burger restaurant...next time! read more

Not great food places (when tucanos is your best one... you got problems) 4. Its open so... good luck enjoying shopping here in the winter 5. I love lamp Now the good thing about this place because of the five aforementioned reasons... this place is a ghost town in the winter (not like the crappy ricky gervais movie). You really dont run into many people. Also it allows workers to give you great customer service because... youre the only customer. Unfortunately there arent any store that I frequent so... its to no avail. THE VERDICT: If you like limited stores and being surrounded by no one... this is the place for you. If you like a lot of stores... do not... i repeat... get as far away from here as possible. The one redeeming quality is the high class sounding JRR Tolkien inspired "Riverwoods." I really like the Shops at Riverwoods for various reasons. It's a really fun place to go on a weekend date night because it's much more classy than the standard Utah malls. It's outdoor and there is lights hanging across the paths. The restaurants here are what really set this mall apart from others, there's Tucanos, Happy Sumo, Malawis, Bajio, Shoots, and Marleys. All amazing places. The shopping here isn't the best, but Soel and Called to Surf are great clothing stores, also Blickenstaffs is a really fun old school toy store. All around it's a very fun mall, with splash pads everywhere in the summer it's a great destination. read more

Sunday is Provo is always a sleepy time, but nonetheless I found this shopping center to be impressive. The stores were mostly closed, of course, but it looked like a good variety. I especially like the I Like Ike's Ice Cream Store. They serve Blue Bell Ice Cream which is made in Brenham, Texas. It is the best ice cream on the planet. Outback Restaurant uses Blue Bell for their sinful sundae. It is the best. read more

Love this mall. The food selection down here basically covers everything you could ever want to eat. Also, the shops are fun and clean. Very family friendly environment and the mall has an elegant artsy feel to it. I really love coming down and walking/shopping around. read more
