So, moms in town from Northwest of Chicago, we planned this great day and of course I made my mom…read moreand my wife pack an overnight bag just in case we stayed somewhere not to far from where we live in Littleton. We let mom know to pack for all weather especially cool-to-cold. We made it to Nederland around 11:30ish and when I opened my door, I looked for my jacket as a resident of CO now for almost 11 years, I knew I forgot to pack anything long sleeve let alone warm. Anyway, went to some shops looking for a hoodie of some type and was completely turned off by the 89$ price tags of items that are worth maybe 60$, after markup and I only say this as I once had an apparel company. I refused and and we walked the strip, my wife said; "Omg, we were just talking about how awesome Alpaca is, they have a store," so I held my breath as she and my mom entered. I enjoyed a bevy at a brewery across the way as I was a bit cold and not a shopper. Called when finished and they were still in the store. Fear over took me, and I was dry mouthed scrambling thinking of what we were to eat for the next year. Alpaca fur, is one of the most amazing textiles for comfort, more valuable then some of the finest silk, and warmer than any wool or synthetics I have ever known. My wife was checking out and asked me to try on the hoodie she bought me. As I gazed to the price rack, as I'd fought the battle of not taking my hat off first, my mouth dropped In awe. Lolololol.. Long story short, her hoodie and mine, plus some socks and a hat, just over another overpriced sweatshirt with a logo that was pressed in bulk. The couple who owns the store is just about the classiest and sweetest people you can hope for in a touristy town. Quality: when I put the sweatshirt on, I was confused as to why I was super comfortable and instantly warm! we have, as I mentioned in chap one, looked into and have some knowledge of Alpaca's and their coats. Service: Literally the best in any town in CO I have ever been to. Not pushy, retail stalkers, or anything other than just awesome people working hard to run a small business in town dependent of out of staters, tourists, etc... I have never felt more secure about purchasing something and now backing and bragging about a new product and the people that sold it!!! Without a doubt, you will get the best gear, with be best service and such reasonable pricing anywhere in or near Eldora. Side not: I hated the sock. They were horribly warm and comfortable, LOL... my wife's feet get cold all the time and since she has bought these socks, she is in heaven. my feet are warm all Of the time, so hating them is a joke! I have never been more happy to write and 10000000% recommend this store! I am thoroughly amazed at the helpfulness of Will at this location…read more Yesterday at 8 Pm I used the Mountain Auto Repair button via YELP for "Request an Estimate" - and I was responded to PRONTO within maybe 5 minutes. My problem was that my "Check Engine" light had come on when I traveled from Grand Junction, CO (4,500 ft) to Silver Plume (9,100 ft).Then I traveled on to Estes Park (7700 ft). Matt recommended that I go to the nearby Oreilly's or NAPA auto shops to get the error code pulled free of charge. Then, - get back to him. I did this, and it saved me SO much trouble. According to the man at Oreilly's: The error code ( P 0420 ) was likely due to a change in my elevation. The Oreilly's man zeroed the Engine Light and told me that if it does not come on again, then I should be fine. The following day, Will got back to me again on his own initiative - before I could report to him the above info. All the help cost me absolutely nothing whatsoever.

This may be just a hardware store, but it's a very important place in this region. When you live in…read morethe mountains, you get used to most things being far away, but there are certain stores that you really need nearby and this is one of them. It's not the biggest of hardware stores, but they carry a little bit of a lot of things. Is your awful old vehicle leaking coolant? They have it. Want to paint your bathroom? They have a small paint center. Have an cast iron stove that needs some work? This is the only hardware store in the region that seems to carry anything at all for them. There are also plenty of commonly needed tools and hardware, a pet supplies and wild bird feeding area, plus a small outdoor/camping section complete with Latitude 40 Maps - my favorite. This is just a supremely necessary place and I appreciate it's existence, even if I do have to go down to bigger stores for some things.

He had several resonator guitars in the shop and after strumming a few I took down a metal bodied Recording King biscuit cone for a test drive. I thought it sounded pretty good but I wasn't sure about the price? I never impulse buy a musical instrument without researching it and the price. Although his price is slightly higher than an internet price it isn't unreasonable for a store price and seems very fair. Unfortunately (or fortunately depending on your point of view) I have a couple guitars I use for slide now and this wasn't "the One" that I'm searching for but I'd recommend it and the shop to anybody I know looking for a nice resonator. After I was done hearing what this res had to offer ( and the owner complimented me on my playing) we chatted about guitars for a bit. A lady came in with a couple guitars to have them checked and re-strung and he was very professional and courteous to the woman that obviously was a novice. He made good recommendations for her and didn't attempt to upsell her with expensive strings or other items she didn't need.
