Though I noticed some of the fragrances had some decent pricing that was comparable to online prices. The selection of goods is pretty extensive as it includes cosmetics, fragrances, liquor and souvenir foods. There is more than one World Duty Free store in Terminal 5. I saw a satellite store at Terminal 5B and the prices were slightly different. For the best selection, I would recommend shopping at the main store in Terminal 5 unless you are already at one of the satellite terminals already and don't want to backtrack.

Sally stocks a wide range of hair and beauty supplies. I discovered this when a friend of mine used to colour my hair at home. We had a great deal - I would drive her here, pay for the colour and bleach, which usually came to under £20.00, then make her lunch or dinner while she did my hair, and that was my payment. I miss those days. As I am not in the beauty trade, I don't get the hallowed 40% discount. Still, there is a lot that I can get here that works out cheaper than even, say, Superdrug. Plenty of the shampoos and conditioners that are used in salons, and then pushed as a sale after they have done your hair can be found here, always at a vastly reduced price.

This is a terrible shop and I don't go in it anymore…read more It has no air-conditioning so is unbearably hot pretty much all year round and there's an unpleasant smell in there too. There are usually loads of staff wandering round stocking shelves but only one or two on the tills so the queues are long and it takes ages to be served. The staff seems grumpy and are unhelpful. There isn't a very good range of goods and most of the Superdrug offers you see in the papers aren't available here -or that's what the staff tell you. I've been in some really great branches of Superdrug, but the Staines branch really lets the chain down.

The shop has soft, warm lighting and relaxing music, along with the aroma of incense and bath oils, which makes it a nice experience to some in a shop. My favourite things there have to be the simple, Jade rings that only cost around £2- a bargin as they look great and are easy to wear everywhere. As for the place where they do the manicures, etc, they're actually a small section at the back corner of the shop, and they look comfortable and clean, but if you don't fancy people watching you while you have your eyebrows threaded, then you may be put off by the fact that it is not an enclosed room. If you're looking for a place to get pampered, or buy a gift for someone, then this is a great place to try.

This store carries your usual tourist gifts that is fast and simple. Chocolate, teddy bears, of course the tote bag and lots of trinkets. Things that catches holiday maker eyes. Small concert at the airport for all your friends and family last minute gifts from London.

Even just getting a taste of Harrods, I can see why people love this posh department store. I checked out Harrods before catching my flight and was happy to see all the merchandise they had, especially since it's just an airport location, so the inventory is limited. But it was nice to see the designers they offered here, and since I love Tory Burch, they had an entire section just for Tory Burch. The staff were super friendly and even told me what products would be cheaper to get back home versus in London, so it wasn't all about them making money. I ended up getting a Tory Burch card wallet and they escorted me to the other section of Harrods where they offered more of their gift items. This was perfect as I was able to get some gifts for loved ones. Glad I was able to get a glimpse of Harrods, a London specialty.

The menswear department had thinned out and it looked very much like they were in preparation for closing down in 2021. The planning application has already been approved to convert the entire store to apartments. A sad day for Staines being the largest store and I recall working Saturdays in the electrical department managed by London Electricity 30 years ago.

This is a reasonably large branch of the Debenhams chain which I shop in from time to time, but…read morehave always found a bit scruffy and down at heel. The cosmetics department on the Ground Floor looks smart and has recently been updated, but the further back in the shop you go the scruffier it seems to get. Some of the upper floors also seem a bit scruffy. Sale stock seems to hang around for months and looks very jumble-sale like. Some of the sale clothes look grubby and stained as they've been out on show for so long. I particularly like the Designers at Debenhams section as I have a particular fondness for handbags, but find that the goods in the rest of the shop can be over-priced. Having said that, Debenhams seem to permanently have a sale at the moment which encourages me to shop there a bit more. I haven't ever found the staff in the Staines branch particularly good or particularly helpful. I recently returned something to the store which I'd bought on the Debenhams website and though this is encouraged on the website it turned into a bit of a farce, with the assistant calling the department manager, who had to call his manager and eventually the store manager to find out which buttons to press on the till. All in all, a distinctly average store.
