The work included two hallways, our kitchen, and our dining room, including going around a large island (and matching things up on both sides). There were seven doorways to match up to. I saw him with a hammer and chisel at least once doing fine-tuning at a doorway. I observed some very precise cuts and particularly one on a corner, where he used the length of the board, cutting one section of it very thin to extend to the proper length, so that continuity was maintained, rather than what I would think would be easier...cutting it shorter and adding a small piece later. There are no gaps whatsoever in the entire floor at finish. I would gladly hire him again and recommend him without any reservations.

When we asked him about this/pointed it out, he became very aggressive, yelling at my wife and I. He accused us of "waffling on what we wanted and said, "well I guess Christmas is early this year. Keep your fucking $700. I'm out of here, fuck you!" He slammed our door and left. He had come to our home that evening to collect final payment. We did ask and he assured that the finish would fill in the gaps, it did not. This happened the week of October the 6th 2025.

His assessment was that prior moisture issues in our crawlspace had lead to a very squeaky sub-floor which required removal of the existing laminate flooring and re-securing the sub-floor with screws. We discussed the pluses and minus of new flooring options and decided to go with a solid hardwood hickory floor. We chose to remove all the baseboards and existing flooring ourselves which saved some money. The installation crew (Frank, Frank Jr., and Martin) spent a week re-securing the subfloor, and installing the new hardwood floor and reinstalling the baseboards. From end to end the whole process was very professionally handled. Communication with Ryan and the office staff was clear, helpful, and informative, and I can't say enough about the install crew. They were there early every day until the job was done and they were meticulous in their craftsmanship. All-in-all a job very well done. We're very happy with the result and NO MORE SQUEAKING FLOORS!

The day after that a crew of 4 skilled painters came out, masked the entire house, gave the house 2 coats of paint, then moved onto trim and doors and had the whole house completely finished in 9 hours. Their attention to detail was easily noticed and everything got 2 coats of paint. They unmasked everything and re-mounted house numbers and light fixtures they removed during paint prep. I arranged for In Depth Home Inspection (IDHI) to inspect my Mother's home recently. It is actually…read moremy childhood home and Mom has lived there for 44 years now without an inspection. She wanted to get it done simply because one was long overdue. My Brother-In-Law had IDHI do a home inspection for a new house he purchased five years ago and highly recommend them. My experience with IDHI was nothing short of awesome! Greg is very quick to respond to emails, calls or texts and has all the answers. You can tell he has been doing this for quite some time. His knowledge of structures is only enhanced as he is a retired firefighter and spent decades working in and around all kinds of structures. On the day of inspection, he arrived 15 minutes early and we went over any prior areas of concern before he began doing his inspection. My Mom's house is a simply 1400 square foot single family home. Greg spent over three hours going over every square inch to include ALL attic and crawl spaces, the roof, and under the house (which I am convinced nobody has been under since we moved in in 1981. He has all his own equipment including ladders, stools, protective shoe coverings and overalls. In addition, he takes dozens of pictures and videos which he gives you on a thumb drive at the end of the inspection. He also goes over everything in detail at the end and I had an emailed copy within two hours after his departure. He even followed up the next day with another email to ensure we were happy and understood some of the deficiencies that need to be addressed. Greg also has recommended contractors whose work he has spent years inspecting on other homes, e.g., we knew we needed a new roof and he had a solid recommendation (again, he's spent years inspecting the guys work). Long story already long; I will continue to use In Depth Home Inspection LLC as long as I need inspections done and HIGHLY recommend them to anyone else.
