The porchetta was tender and flavorful, and together with the soft roll, kind of reminded me of a Taiwanese gua bao or Cantonese charsiu bao. It was incredible and smelled so delicious! The cold cut sub was simple and well balanced, and good with the harder baguette. Lastly, the handmade pappardelle was delightfully chewy and reminded me of Chinese hand pulled noodles. Didn't expect to have such parallels with Chinese food- and I enjoyed reflecting on how different cultures can come to have similar tastes and values. Regardless of the drizzle of rain, the heat & those pesky mosquitoes, the employees were Rockstars. Two of three that were on the grill along with the Manger on duty had not issue checking to see if their Veggie Burger was Vegan friendly, it was not. However & in the interim of checking the ingredients, one of the Griller's offered to cook the Veggie Burger on aluminum foil & away from the meat products...that did me righteous. Other employees taking orders were just as friendly in trying to accommodate customers & their children selections. As far as prices serving an outside venue/event the menu (Tempo Grill) are pretty reasonable, glass of wine for $7, a bag of chips or cookies for $2, Veggie Burgers $11 & Personal Pizza $10. There is eco-friendly self serving station providing plenty of condiments, napkins & utensils. Again, my review is based solely upon the good customer service & accommodations I received during Strathmore's Summer Concert Series & not for catering services. Now Ridgewells, let's get some Vegan Patties on the grill! :-)
