The estate paid it to move the closing of the estate, filed a complaint with BBB, filed a complaint with the Attorney General's office. I would suggest that no one sign up with ADT. It doesn't go well. There are thousands of complaints out there about this company. Do your due diligence and go with someone else. How bad did they need this $250? Was it worth all of the bad reviews that will come from this customer? P.S. They charged us an extra month after they received the death certificate. The panel in my house died and the Vivint support guy that came to my house wanted my bill to go up 300% and me to pay $800 for a new panel. I told them to cancel. I thought we were done... Then I got a surprise "collection notice" in November. I spent 2 hours on the phone saying "cancel my service" and their only response was as "we can discount the service or give you free equipment". No, when I say cancel that is not an open negotiation. I had to open a BBB case and I have them finally agreeing to refund those charges. I would have been recommending Vivint before May...now I will never go back and want to warn everyone I can to stay away.
