The panel in my house died and the Vivint support guy that came to my house wanted my bill to go up 300% and me to pay $800 for a new panel. I told them to cancel. I thought we were done... Then I got a surprise "collection notice" in November. I spent 2 hours on the phone saying "cancel my service" and their only response was as "we can discount the service or give you free equipment". No, when I say cancel that is not an open negotiation. I had to open a BBB case and I have them finally agreeing to refund those charges. I would have been recommending Vivint before May...now I will never go back and want to warn everyone I can to stay away.

It doesn't go well. There are thousands of complaints out there about this company. Do your due diligence and go with someone else. How bad did they need this $250? We have a system with automation where you can use your cell phone, well, that's where it goes badly! The app usually errors out multiple times, won't connect, and eventually we have to set the alarm off just to get into the house. Today was the last straw for me. The salesmen from this company came to my office for a sales call. We were accepting sealed bids on…read morearound $200,000 in work. I'm a trusting man and went to the copier to make copies and left one of the sales men in my office. While I was at the copier with one of the salesmen my secretary walked into the office and the other salesman was behind my desk going through the sealed bids. I contacted the company with my complaint and requested management above these salesmen contact me by phone. I was blown off. I am assuming this is the normal business practices of this company. I would not allow this company to bid on the work.
