Out of towner looking for some authentic local cuisine? This is your place. I am easy to please, but I will be honest and frank when I see something I don't like. This place has everything you want. Lots of parking, lots of tables, a bar, lots of tv's, clean rest rooms, great seafood and Dr, Pepper on tap! The place even has a big fishing boat coming out of the store. We ordered 4 lbs of CRAWFISH (2 lbs mild and 2 lbs spicy), fries okra and onion rings. All came out hot, tasty and on time. Our server was sweet, generous and showed us how to eat the crawfish. And my tall Dr. Pepper never got empty. LOVED THE FOOD AND SERVICE. We will return before we leave town.

Wow! JD's spot never disappoints! Tonight was no exception. We went in to catch a bite before heading next door to The Concert Pub for a show. The catfish was so tender and most! Seriously... I'm picky about fish and this is probably my favorite spot to get it. My BF had the gumbo and he said it was great too. On to the show!

**this review is only for "The Boat", not Concert Pub** I came here to use a Groupon that was about to expire. Great Atmosphere and friendly staff. Don't expect Pappadeaux food or service because this is a bar with a glorified seafood kitchen, not really a full service restaurant IMO. Food: Frozen, not fresh and def not from scratch. Oysters were TINY! The 4 fried shrimp on my PoBoy were a good size. Bread was tasty,no Cajun sauce on P'Boy. Peel and Eat shrimp were very flavorful with the perfect amount of spice. A decent bang for your buck. I am Going to take some Gumbo home so I don't loose out on Groupon dollars. They only have Tabasco, which I find odd for a Texas Seafood restaurant and Oyster bar. Completely out of All draft beer. If your coming in on a Groupon or to enjoy Cheap bottle beer or a casual quick bite, not a bad spot to visit. Def not a place to take a lady on a date or for a quality meal.

They have the best food and awesome service. Their crawfish is very good with lots of flavor. I have had consistently good experiences here. I'm a true fan!

Really wanted fried fish so I tried the place out. Kind of hard to enjoy when you paid for something and didn't even get it. Paid for shrimp and catfish platter, but no shrimp in sight when I opened my meal. Catfish was bland

Wow a lot of food for 24 bucks yummy!!!

I don't know... Saturday lunch time and we are the only ones here...not a good sign. Groupon may have thrown a curve ball on this one.

The sign shows OPEN. I walk in place was empty. No one came out. Stopped here as I felt like eating seafood.

Right now there's a special for 5 pounds of crawfish, two potatoes and two corn for 54.99. We couldn't pass that up! And we added a sausage. I didn't know if we would get through it but we actually did after over an hour! I gotta say they are jamming in there! Old school and modern rnb! I was enjoying it. The staff is really great! I really wish I could've gotten their names but the young lady at the register was so nice and the guys that come to the tables are also very nice. This is one of my mom's favorite spots so I'm sure we will be back soon! If you're in the area, you've gotta check this place out. Especially if you love crawfish!

I was taking everything in, looking around and happy to see the place isn't as busy at the time. Ambiance is good, not too busy and rowdy. I am sure this place has adjusted and now serving their guests well. The food was good-

The OG! It keeps getting better and better. Oh and did I mention Pain Killers. If you are looking to unwind and enjoy the day, look no further. The servers are vibrant, the remodel is inviting, and well this is my happy place, amplified during crawfish season.

Kind of a weird setup though, because the bartender told me I could only use the $20 gift card if I was paying with a gift card... which felt a bit off, but whatever. Overall, this place was just okay. I get the feeling the boils might be the star of the show here, so I'll probably come back to give those a try. I ordered the sampler with fried green tomatoes, boudin balls, and stuffed jalapeños. The flavors were there, but the boudin balls were a little too salty. For my main, I went with the etouffee and asked for both shrimp and crawfish. It was flavorful, with a solid dark roux that I liked. I sat at the bar, and Crystal was my server. She was super friendly but admitted it was her first time making the Bloody Orange Lemon Drop. I gave her a couple of pointers for the second round, and she nailed it - so props for that! In the end, the experience was just fine. Not bad, not amazing. I'll probably come back to try the boils, but for now, it's a solid 3 stars.

Almost like "dirty crawfish". After 1 bite I didn't finish them. The sauce was very good. I gave it 3 stars because I went in with 3 other people and what they had was tasty. I'm going to try other items- when we return. Maybe they are still working the bugs out. Went today again and tried the Phillycheese steak loaded and Egg-rolls ... absolutely fabulous!!

The staff does not fully understand what the menu items come with and thinks that everything is the boil sauce. I order the garlic noodle box with extra garlic sauce. When my food came out it was covered in the ohh la la boil sauce. When I explained that the sauce that usually is with it is clear not red, she said this is what they use. I said it doesn't look like the photo on the board, her response was bc I asked for extra. I said extra does not mean change the type. She then just looked at me. I asked for a remake so it's like the photo. It seems that they rinsed off the noodles bc they were cold and thru the smoked sausage that I bit off and egg that I bit and placed it on top and smothered more red sauce on it! This is the last time, and I will not be bringing my family and friends or suggesting this place to anyone.

We've been passing by this place for awhile and today the wife and I decided to meet up after work…read moreand try them out. Upon entering, the place is nice and more spacious than we expected. Very clean and well put together. We we were greeted promptly and told to choose our seat and that she would be right with us. Well.. that wasn't the case. The lady that greated us was the greeter the bartender the hostess and order taker and one young man as a server was all they had. Fast forward past the wait. Our food comes. Presentation was nice loved the wooden serving trays. Burgers were nice size as seen on social media. I had the Texan burger with chili and cheese and my wife had Kions classic with cheese. Burgers were great. Meat was grilled to perfection with the chard edges i like. But were a little salty as were the onion rings. It taste like the same seasoning is used for the burger fries and onion rings so it became a little overwhelming. Which was part of the reason fir the 3 star. The other reason was the wait (to order and check out) due to the lack of staff and the other is the price. $66 for 2 burgers, fries and onion rings which the portions aren't worth the $10 price. Will we return? Possibly but not any time soon. @Manager. First, condolences to you and your family . But I notice you are very defensive in your few responses to reviews. And im sure you're going to take offense to this comment also but it is not to offend you or your business but more-so to help. I noticed you haven't even taken the time to respond to those that have given you good to great reviews. Those people deserve your attention more. And even in the responses you have given, there are more professional ways of defending your establishment. Like thanking the person for patronizing your business whether they gave you a good or bad review (they spent their hard earned money). Then thanking them for taking the time to leave you a review (good or bad) and read reviews with the intent to understand not to respond. We don't know what's going on in your personal life when we enter your establishment just as you don't know what's going on in ours.. you expect us to repect your business upon entering as we expect a level of service and professionalism that makes us feel good about spending our money. If your loss was going to impact your service maybe inform people when they enter that service is going to be a little slow due to short staff. I see your favorite thing to say is "our prices are listed". Don't you think we know that? Don't you think we seen the price on the menu when we ordered? So obviously we're not complaining about the price but more so what we got for the price. Though we can see how much we're going to spend before ordering, we can not see what we're getting for what we're spending until it comes out. And that is what I was referring to.. price vs portion. And my review said some good things also and said we would possibly return.. but that now will not happen. Please just think before you respond to people and remember they have already given you their hard earned money before making reviews of your business good or bad.. so always lead with a "Thank You..."
