I called the Screen Queens to get quoted for a security door to both: help protect my family and be able to take advantage of the cooler weather by getting some fresh air into the house. After getting nowhere with a few vendors that had lots of reviews on Yelp, some even shamelessly price gauging on materials (Im talking doubling the price of the door even though the actual price is all over the internet), I decided to take a chance on the Screen Queens. I am glad I did! They exceeded my expectations! Fair price, excellent customer service, follow-up, and all-around terrific work! The door looks great! They even took care of the gap at the bottom of the door to keep the mosquitoes out! Thank you to you and your team!

SURE GLAD I DID! I did not realize how much I did not know about "doors"! I can't believe I didn't not do this sooner! James was super professional and direct. Great pricing and quality of work speaks for itself. Everything was done in just a few hours! I am excited to be working with James again on getting more projects done in the near future.

It was clear it was time for a replacement. Before choosing James, I got a quote from a very popular windows and doors company in Orange County. James, the owner of Lucero's Windows and Doors, not only offered the best price but was also extremely responsive. He mentioned that he previously worked as a Home Depot installer, which gave me confidence that he was properly trained. I was initially cautious because of the low number of reviews, but the consistent perfect scores from other customers made me optimistic. Now, after working with him, I can confidently say that Lucero's Windows and Doors is the real deal. Because our home required a custom-sized door, James came out twice to take measurements. After about two weeks, the custom entry door arrived, and he completed the installation in a single day. He told me our home was one of the oldest he's worked on, and the walls were very different from newer builds. Despite the challenges, he made everything fit perfectly, and the final result looks fantastic. We no longer feel a draft under the door, and it swings smoothly without any issues.

Brandon was a true professional who did a great job of explaining what to expect. He had excellent communication throughout the process with lightning quick responses to my questions. The installation team executed as promised. By offering a turn-key process, we didn't have to find our own contractor to do the time-consuming and critical post-installation work of drywall, texture, paint and stucco. We're thrilled with how the new doors look and operate. I highly recommend Cabana Concepts!

Then Cabana installed 2 windows and a multi-slide door in our home. Neither window was operational after the install, despite them insisting that they tested operation during the install. Worse yet, one window was installed off center and the order was messed up so that the height of the window did not match the door height. Then when our hardwood installer came to finish the wood flooring against the door track he found significan water intrusion into the sill pan. LaCantina techs visited and wrote a report with their findings which explained that the door track and sill pan were not installed properly. However, Cabana insisted that this water intrusion was normal and that the door had been installed properly. It was not a small amount of water either. After a 5 minute water test on the door, I was able to vacuum 1 quart of water from the sill pan! The images don't lie, wish I could say the same for the Cabana.

From the very beginning, his communication was outstanding. He was responsive, clear about timelines, upfront about costs, and always took the time to answer our questions thoroughly. I never felt left in the dark at any point in the process. His work ethic is incredible. He showed up on time every day and worked hard from start to finish. It was obvious he takes real pride in what he does. The quality of the flooring and repairs to the foundation is excellent -- precise, level, and beautifully finished. The outdoor wall repair was just as impressive and looks better than I imagined it would. What really stood out was his professionalism and attention to detail. He carefully taped off surrounding areas to protect the rest of the house and made sure everything stayed clean throughout the project. That level of care made a huge difference and showed how much he respects his clients' homes. In every way -- craftsmanship, cleanliness, communication, and overall professionalism -- he went above and beyond. I would absolutely hire him again and highly recommend him to anyone looking for top-quality work.

    Paul's Windows

    Montecito Heights

(This review includes a response to the business owner's reply)…read more I had a deeply disappointing experience with Paul's Windows, and I want to share it so that other homeowners know what to expect before working with this company. I reached out for a small bedroom window replacement and had one key requirement: that the new window, once installed, provide a minimum clear opening height of 13 inches. The sales associate, Art, confirmed via text that the manufacturer (Crystal Pacific) said it would: 13.1875", in fact. That was fine by me. But when I asked for that specification to be confirmed in the contract, in writing, Art refused. Let me be clear: I wasn't asking for a personal warranty on the product. I simply wanted confirmation that the installed window, as ordered and managed by Paul's Windows, would meet the functional requirement I had clearly communicated. Art repeatedly deflected, referring to "what the manufacturer said," but was unwilling to take responsibility for the result. When I asked for accountability, he became dismissive and eventually walked away from the job. I contacted Paul directly, hoping for a more professional response. Instead, I received a generic brush-off and a claim that the window wouldn't meet the specs, which contradicts what their own sales associate had already confirmed. Worse, Paul didn't acknowledge or engage with any of the valid concerns I raised around basic customer service, transparency, or professional responsibility. Ultimately, I wasn't asking for anything unreasonable. I was hiring a company to manage a job and deliver a specific result. If something went wrong, say, the manufacturer provided a window that didn't meet the spec, it would be on the contractor to resolve it, not on me to go chase down the supplier. That's what any responsible company would do. But Paul's Windows made it clear they don't see it that way. If you're okay with vague communication, contractors who won't stand behind their own work, and potentially being left to deal with problems on your own, maybe this company is fine. But if you want clarity, professionalism, and accountability in writing, then look elsewhere. § Paul's response below is a classic damage control move -- polite on the surface, but full of deflection and quiet rewriting of events. To clarify: the window in question would have met the required 13" clear opening. That wasn't in dispute. Art, their sales associate, confirmed that in writing and was fully prepared to proceed with the job -- until I asked for a simple written accountability. That's the moment everything fell apart. Paul's follow-up misrepresents the timeline and sidesteps the core issue -- not whether the window would fit, but whether the company was willing to stand behind the result they were being paid to deliver.

After signing the contract the windows were ordered and arrived in about 3 weeks. The installation team worked quickly and Art was there to see it complete. Retrofitted the windows to fit in my existing frames to avoid having to work on the wall. Added the grids to match the style of the old windows since I have a condo and HOA would probably have an issue if not everyone's windows matched since it's a shared building.
