Was totally taken advantage of! Bought a new house with retractable screen doors. Our small dog kept getting out because the screen wasn't connected at the bottom. Called this company and told them what my issue was. He came out and I showed him the gap at the bottom indicating this is what I wanted repaired. I told him to go ahead and do whatever he needed to do and left for work. He texted me less than two hours later telling me I owed him $900. $900 for two hours of work! While upset with this, at least I have good working screen doors. Came home to the exact same problem that I initially had. Called him and was told that's just the way the doors are. So in the end I had the exact same problem and was out $900. Why wouldn't a normal person have just told me that if I spend $900 I would have the exact same problem all over again? Totally my fault for trusting him to do what was right, but he definitely took advantage of the situation. Kyle gets mainly good reviews as his workmanship and screen knowledge is top notch. He replaced the screen mesh on our sliding door with a smaller mesh that we requested and the installation is perfect. When I paid Kyle with my personal check on June 2, 2022, I asked for a receipt for the work done. Kyle said they only send receipts via email. Kyle quickly returned my call and set up a date to come to my house to look at my current sliding glass door and to also look at my dogs so that he could give an accurate assessment of which size dog door I'll need. While he was here I also had him give me a quote on custom building a shade screen for an odd shape window in my room that lets in a lot of sun. These last few weeks had been a little hectic with rain so understandably installation days had to be rescheduled in order to ensure a successful installation of an undamaged product. What impressed me was Kyle's professionalism in quickly rescheduling and getting the job done at the best time possible. Any time there was rain coming he alerted me ahead of time with a new installation date. My favorite thing about Mr. Window Screen is their attention to detail. The fact that Kyle wanted to look at my dogs to ensure that he was going to install the correct size dog door threw in to the top for me. It's this bits of detail that separates Kyle and Mr. Window Screen apart from most places. I needed 2 screen frames, a total of 4 window rescreens including the ones with the new frames, I also needed 4 patio rescreens, and 1 front door rescreen. Kyle is awesome he told me the guesstimate price(with the limited information I could tell him) over the phone it was pretty close to what it actually cost. Kyle told me all the prices of screens based on the screen material I wanted the prices he told me was based on window sizes for both windows, doors, as well as the 2 frame replacement ie if the window was small, medium, large, and the patio frame sizes. We hired Kyle to replace screens at our house. He took a deposit and told us it would be a few weeks for the screens to come in. He ended up rescheduling our installation 3 TIMES......this means we had to rearrange our schedule 3 times for one of us to be home for the installation. Each time he rescheduled either the night before, or the morning of the appointment because he was either overbooked, or he didn't want to do the install in the middle of the afternoon because it was too hot outside. We gave him one last chance to perform last Friday for an 8am installation. NO CALL....NO SHOW....and didn't even have the professional courtesy to respond back to any of our text messages or phone calls to see if he was running late that morning. He ended up refunding our deposit that morning at 8:04 am (our appointment was at 8am) , but never gave us the heads up, phone call, text.........nothing !
