My family enjoyed all the seafood offered- including fried oysters, catfish, and shrimp, as well as okra and sweet potato fries. We enjoyed going to the Battle of the Bands event (offered every Thursday evening in June) but they have live music every week and a great website to check out what to watch and buy tickets. The brussels were delish; the fries were tasty but they were standard thin-cut frozen kind, and though they did have a nice flavor of truffle and a snowing of parm, they didn't taste like they were fried in truffle oil but it was spritz on after the fry. They were good, just seemed to employ shortcuts. For heavier apps we ordered the baby lamb chops... I make lamb chops at home and they're amazing; when dining out it's always hit or miss. There's a fat that lamb has that if not trimmed off it gives off a very off-putting flavor. These had that flavor and I was so disappointed. And if you see my pic of the dish, I'm not sure what was happening with the sauce sloshed all over the rim of the dish. On another note, my hubs ordered oysters and said were delish. Moving on... I chose trout topped with lump crab which was on par with other places I've had it. And we also ordered wine, which I'll note for anyone interested that the bottles are priced exactly double than if you buy it at the store. I expect there to be a mark up, but just know what to expect. Combined, it was a delightful meal in a beautiful setting with a menu and presentation that like feels they strive to keep old school finer dining alive and overall we enjoyed experiencing it even with the minor downsides of some of the dishes we had. The manager was really friendly and explained how the pricing worked, explained the drop and shop system, and also asked us if there were any games that our kids weren't allowed to play. That's important to us. They had 30+ games for my kids to choose from- basically every game my kids asked for, they had. I bought an hour of play time for each kid and I enjoyed some quiet shopping time. If you pay for an hour and only use 30 minutes, your remaining minutes will be on your account for next time. It works like rollover minutes for your cell phone. The total cost was less than I pay for a babysitter and much cheaper than an hour at a typical arcade.

We also spent some time upstairs in the museum with Rob, who explained the swords and weapons displayed. It was very interesting and informative. We visited the cemetery as well. They have golf carts to rent if you have mobility issues or are too lazy to walk. We walked. This is a fine, historic property and something you should check out in Biloxi.

The cost of admission is $15 for adults and will take around 2 hours. They do a guided tour which last for 20 minutes which is a Mary talking about the house 20 minutes straight. For me, my attention span was low that day and everything went in and out of my ear. After that, you get to tour the grounds like the kitchen, guest quarters, etc which I enjoyed the most. The place is pretty big. Make sure when you head back to go to the 2nd floor as there are a lot of artifacts. It was worth my time going however.
