I live pretty close by, and I am a fan of thrift shopping, as someone who loves the story behind…read moreclothes, and who is broke. This store has a large selection of clothes, and is labelled so everything is easy to find. They have clothes, books, toys, shoes, jewelry, paintings, home decor and more. They have handy changing rooms if you wanna try on some of the clothes, which I think is nice! I've always found something to bring home after coming here. And the prices are great, I was able to get 3 books for $10! The store itself is nothing fancy, but its worth a visit if you like thrift shopping!

I heard these two guys talking and when it was my turn to unload I had to ask a few questions. By the way they unloaded my car, were helpful and respectful, all that you want to see in an employee. What I heard was them complaining about being bullied at work by management, talked down too, insulted and belittled - causing mental stress and depression. One of them was close to tears, he was poorly spoken too at the start of his shift....Dumb move on your part VV.....humiliate them and then let them be your stores upfront representatives! Value Village you have an incredible opportunity to mold these young men into great future employees for any company outside high school so DO BETTER! It is obvious shopping in the store that you have an all around unhappy staff. Your reputation is already mud by price gouging, maybe retrain your upper level staff so that they have a clue on a Respectful Work Environment. I think it's time we reconsider doing business elsewhere....

Tip: The cassettes and records section is decent if you like finding music gems at decent prices…read more Last Saturday, I was in Ajax at a Dollar Tree. Across from it was this Value Village. I hadn't stepped foot at any Value Village since I went on a purging spree during the pandemic. I drove across the plaza and parked fairly close to the main entrance. There was lots of parking. The clothing section greeted me when I entered the store. Everything was ordered on the racks by size and was nicely organized. There were a bunch of graphic t-shirts available. It was interesting seeing what folks had donated. A Smoke's Poutinerie t-shirt with the founder guy on the front? Yeah, I wouldn't want it either. Jonas Brothers concert t-shirt? There were two of them! I like music more than people? It's true to some extent. It was fun looking at them. Looking at old technology that may or may not work was a blast. I saw a blingy telephone. I also a Meridian phone model that I've used at a bunch of past jobs. A Sears Crockery Cooker looked cool. I love small appliances and seeing their versions of crockpots was so fun to see. I spent the longest time browsing used cassette tapes and CDs. I love music and I like spotting some gems. I ended up getting two CDs: - Alan Doyle - A Week at the Warehouse - $3.99 - Rod Stewart - The Definitive Rod Stewart (two CDs) - $8.99 It's was nice getting CDs that I don't have without breaking the bank. I liked the socks section. It has new socks for women's size 11 feet. Yay! This store has self-checkout kiosks. You need to have a credit or debit card to use it. I went ahead and gave it a try. What's interesting at Value Village is that you're scanning a small QR code next to the price on each item and not the product's barcode. I paid with a credit card. I tapped and I got a receipt. I also got a discount on my next purchase. I enjoyed stopping by this store. I'd do it again when I'm in Ajax. (386)

Do not step foot into this store Reason one horrible staff…read moreunder the receipt. It says you could get a return within 14 days, but the woman at the cashier who was very rude with a nose piercing said I couldn't and that I have to exchange instead so they're lying on their receipt which sucks Reason 2 everything is overpriced and priced unfairly. Also, they have horrible selection. They only put out volunteer shirts for like random businesses you've never heard of. Overall horrible experience every time I went go to other thrift stores in the area either a this I recommend tallez r Plato's closet way better than this place. I'll tell you that.
