In the busy season they do book up so make your reservation early. Prime location right next to the pier. If you are on the beach side you will have an amazing view. Lots of places to eat within walking distance and a bunch of antique shops as well We were in room 202 which is an upstairs king room. The bathroom has shampoo, conditioner, body wash, lotion and liquid hand soap so no need to bring your own. Our room had a jetted tub The bedroom area has a mini fridge, microwave, coffee maker, fireplace and 3 chairs to lounge in. They provide an extra blanket if you get cold. There is best but no A/C. However there is a box fan in the closet and a ceiling fan as well Outside you have a small balcony with 2 chairs and a table. Beautiful View. Just be careful eating outside as there are lots of seagulls However they were friendly All day in the lobby you can get hot tea and hot chocolate along with fruit and cereal. From 8 am to 10 am they add coffee. From 4 pm to 5 pm they have beer and wine available They also have sugars and creamers available Breakfast is included each morning. You fill out a card with your choices and drop it at the front desk before 5 pm the night before. You can also leave it hanging on your door. Each morning you can have a pastry or quiche, flavors change daily. They also have yogurt, hard boiled egg, fruit, orange juice or milk. We had the quiche each morning and they were delicious. You can also choose what time between 8 am and 10 am you would like it delivered. Each afternoon freshly baked cookies are placed in your door hanging in a cute bag. The oatmeal and chocolate chip were amazing. If you want excellent service and amenities then this should be your choice. Very personal service, amazing location and quiet. Cindy you are amazing thank you for everything.

It truly made me feel welcome. We ended up sharing our writing with each other during this stay. The fires on the beach were absolutely wonderful. This place was clean and so accommodating for an early check-in. It was so nice to find such a lovely kindred spirit so far away from home. Thank you to the staff, but especially thank you to Gina. I will be following along on your writing journey. I loved reading her stories about the fires there and I see why they inspire her.

Dogs cannot be left alone in room even crated.. or during a late night walk on beach .. dog must be attended at ALL times.. (trust me they know) Took a blanket outside to wrap myself in by fire pit.. you'd of thought i committed a crime.. got a tongue lashing .. and glare as I walked back to room .. (trust me I know) On the wonderful side ..rooms were clean spacious (King suite) cleaning staff were very friendly and accommodating.. Centrally located can walk everywhere in town with no problems.. Unfortunately the welcoming office were anything but.. after long drive in .. we're told we're not in building promised..downhill from there .. If you feel you're being watched (trust me you are) Not a comfortable experience.. Can't wait for the little Cayucos Motel across the street opens again ..

Had a stay last year with this Hampton Inn and would go back if in the area…read more Check in was easy and the bed was so comfortable my wife wanted to buy the mattress for our house online since we were looking for one. We got consistently good sleep here. Breakfast had decent food including kielbasa one day. Access to CA-1 is easy and it's not far to drive to shopping, Morro Rock and Morro Bay. Plenty of parking, keep in mind the high school next door when you exit the hotel.

You can tell they've put effort into keeping it fresh and comfortable. The staff? Genuinely friendly and helpful - great recommendations, warm greetings, and they actually acknowledge you as a member (which, let's be honest, doesn't always happen everywhere). Also...major bonus points for being dog-friendly. My pup was living his best life here. Now, let's talk breakfast. Or...my lack of breakfast. If you're plant-based, your options are basically: * Toast * Fruit * Plain oatmeal (if you're feeling adventurous) Meanwhile, my dog was over there enjoying what I like to call "my breakfast." Day one: cheese omelette. Day two: scrambled eggs and potatoes. Honestly, he was thrilled. I get that it's a standard hotel breakfast setup, but in 2026, throwing in one solid vegan option doesn't feel like a wild ask. Even a simple oatmeal bar or plant-based protein would go a long way. That said, everything else about the stay was great - clean, comfortable, welcoming, and easy. I'd absolutely stay here again... I'll just plan to bring my own breakfast.

It has changed ownership and some things have changed. They still allow dogs but gone are the personalized dog bowls and treats, as well as, the grassy fenced in dog yard. The yard is there but it is a gravel pit. However, there is still an open lawn area with seating. On the positive, the rooms are the same - neat and clean with comfy bedding. It has easy access to the beach. On the whole, this will still be our choice when staying in Cayucos.

I called the Beach Bungalow Inn & Suites directly and spoke with the manager, Gabriell J. She was a total professional. I was stressed and upset, but her calm and helpful demeanor completely turned things around. She went above and beyond to make sure I was taken care of through the hotel itself. Lesson learned: always book directly! Not only is the customer service superior, but you get a better price, too. I will absolutely book directly with them for my next trip to Morrow Bay!

We checked out this inn in person 7 weeks ago, the place we stayed last time had the most…read moreuncomfortable beds. I had read several reviews for this place saying how comfortable the beds were and how nice the rooms were. At that time the nicest woman showed us every room layout they had, even let us sit on the beds to test out the comfort level. The beds we sat on were way better than the other place. We also liked the different layouts of the rooms- the one with 2 separate bedrooms and the one with the kitchenette were our favorites- but we felt, at the time we could enjoy any of the rooms. They are also dog friendly if you aren't in the kitchenette room The reviews from before talked about a wonderful breakfast brought to your room each morning. When I mentioned it, the woman said they just discontinued that- the woman who was making the items had gone back to school in the mornings. She said they would be giving each guest a breakfast voucher for various small businesses in the area. This sounded like a great way to try out new places I asked if all the rooms had a fridge and microwave. We were assured they all did We booked thru a 3rd party for this trip. We stayed 3 nights- arriving Monday around 5 pm of Thanksgiving week There was a young man in the office when we arrived who said we were the last to check in for the evening He gave us our room keys and showed us the map on the wall to direct us to our rooms. He also told us parking is first come first served. We went to our room to store our belongings before heading out to dinner. I didn't see a microwave in my room- a must for my neck and back warmer for a recent injury. I went back to the office to request one. I was told he would look for one and get back to us. He came to our room 5 minutes later saying he couldn't find one. I explained I had been promised one by the nice lady when we came to look at the inn- he said she no longer worked there. That he had only been there a week He said he would call his manager and get back to us- but he left for the night without an update We asked him how to work the fireplace- but he didn't know We also asked to not have the maids come to the room while we were out. He said they don't come at all during your stays There is a binder in the room that tells you about the fireplace, as well as the location of some lockers to get "amenities" The locker has towels, tp, tissues.... There were also bikes and body boards available for use The rooms have been updated- but once in the room, it didn't seem to us that they were done well The bathroom floor is very slippery- we had to lay down towels for safety. The shower was not hot thru the whole stay- and water pressure is almost nonexistent There is a sign up in the bathroom about a 5 minute shower- no way you would get the conditioner out of your hair with no water pressure The fireplace wasn't working well... the tiniest of red on a log- and you can't really enjoy it from the bed. The tv is mounted above the fireplace- but it doesn't swivel- so you can't see it well from the bed The WiFi is a joke The beds were not as comfy as other guests reported- more were they as nice as the ones we had been shown a few weeks ago. We were in room 3 pacifica- they showed us rooms on the other side of the hotel The 2nd day we found a nice woman working in the office who was able to bring us a microwave. She did there were about 6 in the storage area. I asked if maybe the first guy didn't know where to look- she said that's where they always keep them. She stayed to make sure it worked when we plugged it in- the whole outlet didn't work in the front room The ironing board was broken- we were going to use it as a shelf for storage. The closest only had 1 hanger in it and 1 bathrobe. Which seemed odd there wouldn't have been 2. The coffee was in tiny refillable canisters. We brought our own coffee maker and coffee so wasn't an issue for us- but we both thought it didn't seem sanitary The fridge never did get cold enough- even though we had it on the coldest setting- so we ended up mostly using our big beach cooler In the 2nd day they cut back all the palm trees- grateful the woman who brought us the microwave warned us and we were able to move our car. We asked her if they would trim the ones right in front of our room- we had several stairs up to get in our room- and the palm fronds would smack you in the face when you tried to carry your stuff in and out. They did cut that back- very helpful But we were stuck in our room while the work was done. It was very loud There was always plenty of parking We didn't feel the beds we had were as comfortable as the ones in the other side of the inn- in room 3 the queen sized bed felt better then the king When we checked out it was another young man who also seemed new and inexperienced Hoping there is more training for the entire staff so everyone is on the same page
