Nice little spot between Humble and Atascocita...

Nice place, Alexis was an amazing and friendly bartender, this was my first time here and I felt right at home. Live music playing, dive bar feel, just right. 2 pool tables, shuffle board, a couple of video poker/ slot type of machines. But their menu is unique, check out their alligator bites, frog legs, burgers and baskets... I've been meaning to stop by, tonight was an accident and totally worth it.

I have driven by this little place for years. I have seen businesses come and go, nothing seems to last. I figured their place would be no different. A few weeks ago a friend had us go and we fell in love with the nachos, also the waitresses were so nice. Oh my gosh... the food y'all! The food here is freaking great! This is not your regular bar food. This was our second visit because we enjoyed the nachos so much. Upon arrival I was caught at the door by their current special, the Cajun Catfish, so we ordered it in addition to our nachos. We sat outside and we were pleasantly surprised by the fresh herbs growing all around. I spotted the chef retrieving some fresh herbs and as I was observing I saw our food coming out. The chef saw our food in its way to us and stopped the expeditor to take my food so he could add the fresh herbs. This shows how quality is important here and it is evident in every bite. My food arrived a few minutes later and I was shocked by how beautifully presented it was, my first bite lived up to the beautiful presentation. The waitresses again were super nice and I will definitely be back. I hope this place remains the Rusty Nail! Stop reading and go!

This is an awesome bar. They have a DJ on fridays. If you bring a shot glass you get a free bottle of beer! They also have darts and shuffleboard. Come check this place out!

Macael is the best bartender in town! Love the South West eggrolls and they always have my favorite channel on TV when I get there!

They feature darts and a pool table on the inside with corn hole on the outside and live music occasionally. The bartender (José) and manager were welcoming and conversational while showing professionalism and genuine care. We played three rounds of pool and three rounds of cornhole. The pool table's felt has very low rolling resistance and is perfectly level, and they have well maintained pool sticks with chalk and powder for those with very moist hands. The whole venue is well built and has a lot of open space, with copious tables and seating. We will be back to Humble Backyard to have fun when it is jamming with people

We went and where should I begin??? I wanted to try this…read moreplace since I heard of it a while back and since its around my old neighborhood I was so excited to finally go. I was definitely disappointed. We got there early and the place wasnt busy not even busy once people started showing up. Don't want to sound like a "Karen" but uff!! It was just bad. It took a while between drinks and don't get me started on the food. I thought service would pick up when we saw 1 or 2 other waitresses show up as time went by but it was the same. They said they had bartenders they had one inside and the 2nd one seemed more of a cook even cus she kept bringing food orders to tables vs wait staff. It was so slow that people were even going inside to get drinks/beer buckets and it seemed "faster" in some way. I was surprised how little the mimosa came with or maybe it was just the big glass. Micheladas weren't that great and idk what they use in it or on the rim but it had a crawfish seasoning taste to them. Same for their bloody Mary. For it to have too much on and in it it was very basic w/out flavor. When I saw how slow food was coming out I just decided to eat the slider that came with the Mary. Which wasn't that great. Only good thing were the onion rings For the price and experience unfortunately it's definitely not worth it.

Where board shorts and bootstraps come together to create a laid back and southern experience,…read morewelcome Cowboy Surfer. Ambiance: 5/5 Nestled in the shopping strip center off 59 HWY from the outside it blends until you notice the sign and you see "cocktail lounge" I believe it's a first the front of Kingwood and I got excited and had to stop in. Plenty of parking and casual attire is welcome. But if you want to don your full on spurs, Stetsons and swagger or your surf threads, go right ahead! Although I'm sure shirt and shoes are required and you'll probably get cold since there is no sun or waves inside. Once inside the theme is as the name of the bar is, Cowboys and Surfers. Plenty of seating from booths, tables and bar. And there's also pool table and shuffle board. There was a live band "Pack of Strays" playing and was enjoyable. The lounge has live music on certain days and a Happy Hour everyday from 4-7, so I will have to come back to check that out. Service: 4/5 I sat at the bar and bartender didn't really engage much, though I noticed him engaging with a couple of select groups. No I wasn't on my phone when I walked in, if anything I make it a point to be mindful when entering any place as to note my surroundings and also be able to tell what the vibe is like. Though the service wasn't necessarily anything noteworthy, which attention & engagement would've made the experience/review a 5, the drinks were specially crafted which takes mindfulness to make. Food/Drinks: 4/5 Their menu has multiple options when it comes to drinks and also offer some food selections. I didn't get to try the food, but saw some items that looked interesting and want to try. They also have a list of beers and wine, so again, something for every taste. For this visit I only had two drinks. Beach Break: 4/5 with choice of Gin or Vodka (I went with gin of course) it has a refreshing taste as it is shaken with fresh cucumbers and lime juice, it also has simple syrup. It was more tart than I would think it probably was going for. I did appreciate that they didn't go heavy on the sweetness, but would've liked it with agave as the fresh ingredients would go well with it. For my next visit I will likely ask to substitute with agave as they do have it and it was in my next drink. The Kingwood: 4/5 crafted with my favorite "Hendricks gin" and named after the neighborhood we live in, this cocktail is also refreshing and enjoyed more than the Beach Break. It went down easy, bartender did ask if I was good with the jalapeño that it's muddled with and this time I opted to only have it with muddled cucumber. Again refreshing and not tart so maybe this is the alternative to Beach Break. It is made with topo chico and Tajín rim. Overall it is a laid back environment, live music and the drink options are promising, it's a cocktail shop (candy shop). If you live in the area or find yourself in the area, do yourself a favor and come kick up your boots and hang ten.
