Great restaurant! I had the rustic breakfast, which included bacon, eggs, potatoes and toast. Although there's a limit to what you can do with those ingredients, this was by far the best breakfast I've had in years. Absolutely delicious, especially the bacon. This place is terrible. Absolutely terrible. We wanted to find a nice place for brunch and we decided to give this place a try due to the reviews. It took an hour for us to get our food and the food was terrible. I had the biscuits and gravy and there was barely any gravy. The food was bland and even the eggs weren't seasoned. My boyfriend had the pancakes and those were also bland. He had to drown them in syrup for them to even be edible. Not only that, but the pancakes weren't even cooked all the way. Disgusting. He felt sick afterwards too. A friend of mine had the sliders and those were totally burnt to the crisp. The patty was black. They were also missing a part of his order and they took back the plate only for him to get it back 30 minutes later when the rest of us were done. The employees looked depressed and were very boring and monotonous. That is not a good way to represent a company. I hope no one else gets duped by the good reviews of this restaurant because this is definitely by far the worst place I have ever been. read more

We were driving to Reno and stopped for lunch. Good food, nice atmosphere, very nice waiter. The lunch portions were huge! We will definitely stop there again. One thing to note, the Clam Chowder has Bacon in it, so if you're a pescetarian or avoiding pork, try another soup. read more

Well, we were very hungry and needed food. We like to find small local places, dont like chains, parking lot was full so we said ok. well we got seated right away and he took our order right away,,,,seems like its run by college guys and that s fine, we put in our order and waited, and waited and waited,,,,,40 minutes later our food came out...2 sandwiches, yes 2 sandwiches, server kept saying sorry for the wait.....ok but enough is enough.....my bread on my turkey sandwich was dry on the top and soggy on the bottom....this means it had been sitting for quite a while,,,,wifes pannini was not hot and the fries were not either,,,again food was sitting.....will not be back! by the way, my root beer was served in a can, warm and I had to ask for more ice to keep it cold UGH!!!! read more

TASTE AND SEE!!! My family and I stopped here today by happenstance. What a great turn of fate. My daughter was not feeling so well on the way home so we stopped in for a break. The staff is amazing. What a breathe of fresh air! People who actually care about other people. They were kind enough to give us a sprite to settle my daughter's stomach. if you are wondering about the food, we did not have time for breakfast but the coffee was wonderful! We will definitely stop in for breakfast on our next trip. To address one of the previous yelpers....yes the staff are Christian and their faith is exemplified through their kindness . When in America did it become a problem to freely express ones faith? ....Even in a resturant. Last I checked, many restaurants have symbols or references to their faith ( been to any good Chinese restaurants lately). Religious tolerance is extended to all in our country. read more

My wife and I were really hungry on the way back from Reno and we were blessed enough to come across the Rustic Table. It is way off of the beaten path, but well worth it. The building is old, but well taken care of, the paintings are Christian-based, as is the rest of the decor on the walls and shelving, and there is an added coffee station, serving better blends than S-Bucks could conjure up. The food took a little time, but it was fresh, piping hot and was definitely homemade. Our server was excellent, the food amazing, but the main draw into this place is that it is a teen challenge center. They focus on leading troubled people (not just teens) down a straight and narrow path that leads away from addiction. Amazing to find out about this program and how the Rustic Table is involved. I wish yelp allowed for another star. Keep it up! We will be back! read more

in this out of the way place, we had a delicious meal. It was very casual so, even if you are out camping you don't have get dressed up or anything. They have a a lot to choose from on the menu and the 3 of us all enjoyed enjoyed our selections. I got the spare ribs and they were the very best spare ribs I have ever had, It came with a great salad and delicious mash potatoes and fresh veggies. I can't wait to go back again. read more

Was pretty excited after seeing the four and a half star rating but had a terrible experience. First of all the service was really really bad. I think our waiter must've been new. We ordered the pancakes and the breakfast biscuits to split and they forgot the eggs that went with the pancakes, the hash browns with the biscuits, and our bacon came out late. Also our pancakes were undercooked, the batter was still liquidy inside the pancakes. The food that was cooked was decent. Definitely not coming back here. read more

Stopped in for lunch and was pleasantly surprised! The decor tends toward the high-end, with a great forest view. Lots of relaxing green. Staff was VERY friendly and courteous. Absolutely no complaints about the service at all! The food was also great. I had the chicken chipotle sandwich - very good. Fries were fresh and excellent. I stopped today with the wife and our two girls (1.5 and 4 years of age) and the breakfast was great. The wife had the French toast, while the kids split eggs and bacon, and I had the rustic breakfast, all of it came out great. The staff was super friendly and the view of the valley on a snowy day with the sun shinning in made this place even better. Also have to mention how great it is to find kid friendly place that's affordable (aside from IHOP or Denny's) and that serves great breakfast is a rare find. We loved it and will definitely come back next time we head to Tahoe for breakfast again or to try them for lunch. read more

I just think one should know when you are supporting a religion-based organization. Awesome breakfast burrito! So large that my wife and I decided to share one. Made to order - not out of the freezer. Tasty with just the right amount of zing. Plus a side dish of salsa made on site that morning. Served with a generous helping of fresh seasonal fruit- again, not out of the can. The server was attentive without being invasive. I found this place by accident and was very happy to discover The Rustic Table. The staff is friendly and the service is excellent. Great coffee and very good food. I had the BLT sandwich, the bacon is local, very tasty. The restaurant is next to the lodge, which is very nice. The trees are thick and lush, nice area to walk around.
