Russ and Debbie, the owners, were so accommodating, enjoyable, helpful and easy going; people you could just spend all day talking to. There are some RV spaces to camp here so we stayed on site to make set up a little easier on the day of the memorial. We had family that rented a quaint one bedroom cabin on site as well. There is an outdoor covered kitchen area with a huge refrigerator, which allowed us to bring food in advance and prep the day before. It was all so convenient! They were in the path of the Dixie fire, so the drive out there is baron, but don't let that deter you. Once you arrive, you are surrounded by green trees and stunning scenery. It was a perfect hidden gem. We are so pleased with our entire experience at lassen meadows and would absolutely recommend it and use this venue again for other events.

We had the lodge decorated, inside and outside to accommodate all our guests. Scott did not hesitate to help us move the furniture, chairs and even got our beer kegs set up. The staff were friendly and the entire check in process was easy. For the price, we got an individual tiny cabin with two bedrooms and a bath. It came with a simple kitchen and an awesome patio overlooking the, unfortunately, near empty lake. The staff informed us that the lake had been drained to help fight recent California wildfires, so that made me feel a little bit better. Anyways, the cabin was clean and everything you would need for a nice relaxing stay. My biggest qualm was that the hot water did not work so we were not able to take a shower (unless it was ice water cold). And the Internet did not work - not for browsing or streaming pleasure but simply for cell phone service in such a remote area. All in all, a decent spot to stay in the Shasta Lake area.

One of the things I loved most about their amentities, is that they have additional helpers and support for set up & clean up. Their rules are simple and sensible, and it is obvious they cared. So, I put them up here at the Holiday Inn Express. It's near my house at the north end of town so it easy and I used some of my rewards points I have from all my business travel. This location located right next to the Home Depot has been recently remodeled and I all nice and new in the front downstairs area. They used to have a grand piano here, but now that's gone. Check in was easy and the room was fine. Fridge and microwave included. I didn't check the WiFi, but my parents aren't big on the internet thing, they'd rather just watch regular TV. Breakfast was good as usual, and the selections are all about the same at all Holiday Inn Express locations, with good hot foods and breads for toasting. I'm glad this place is near my house and my out of town guests have a nice place to stay. I love the cinnamon rolls here!

Good location, standard hotel breakfast (pastries, fruit, yogurt, cereal, a few hot options), free parking, and adjacent to the hotel is a gas station with a large convenience store!
