The room was a standard Hampton room, and at $130 for the evening, about the standard price. Location was convenient just a short drive off of I-5. I'd stay here again, though I missed the 6am breakfast as I hit the road to Vegas at 5am!

We arrived around 9:00 pm after a long day of driving. Once we got to our room, it was clear the cleaning had not been completed. In the bathroom there was a used washcloth draped over the shampoo dispenser in the shower, a used bar of soap in the soap dish by the sink, the toilet seat was up, napkins on the table by the bed. These things put us on high alert so we checked the bed, where we found hairs on the sheets. We immediately reported it to the front desk, who told us the hotel was full so they couldn't move us. So, we asked for clean bedding so we could change the sheets. After 3 attempts, we got the correct size sheets and were able to sleep there. I made three attempts to talk to the owners/managers, but they did not call back. I then lodged a complaint with Hilton. They contacted the hotel who said they were unwilling to do anything about it. I find it alarming that they are okay with what happened! So, I guess the message is that it's fine when there are no issues but if you have any, don't expect the owners to do anything about it!

So, I put them up here at the Holiday Inn Express. It's near my house at the north end of town so it easy and I used some of my rewards points I have from all my business travel. This location located right next to the Home Depot has been recently remodeled and I all nice and new in the front downstairs area. They used to have a grand piano here, but now that's gone. Check in was easy and the room was fine. Fridge and microwave included. I didn't check the WiFi, but my parents aren't big on the internet thing, they'd rather just watch regular TV. Breakfast was good as usual, and the selections are all about the same at all Holiday Inn Express locations, with good hot foods and breads for toasting. I'm glad this place is near my house and my out of town guests have a nice place to stay. I love the cinnamon rolls here!

OK, this specific Holiday Inn is a great example of how a perfect hotel can provide a negative…read moreexperience when under poor management. We always stay at Holiday inns or Hampton when we travel and there is a level of competence we have become accustomed to that was not provided here. We called ahead to see if they served a gluten free breakfast and they said yes only to find out when we showed up for breakfast with two hungry celiac kids that wasn't the case. We also called to make sure they have a pool because we were traveling with 4 eleven-year-olds and they assured us they had a pool then when we went to go swimming, it was closed for the winter. We asked why they would tell us they had a pool if it was closed and the manager said and I quote "you asked if we have a pool not if we had a pool you can use." Technically he was right but that's kind of a bratty response especially when we're paying hundreds of dollars and we took the time to call ahead and be prepared. Paid on line then when I checked in I didn't have the same credit card on me, he said it was find and he would just keep this card on file but not charge it. Then when I checked my bank account he had charged me for the same room on two different cards. When I went to fix it he was short tempered about it.

The Triangle is a totally updated - Retro Motel from the days before I-5. I had my doubts at first, but was pleasantly surprised. Everything had been re-done - new floors, fixtures, etc, yet this place retains the feel of how roadside Motels used to be. I had the suite - Room A. The bed was super comfy. Check in Process was contactless and easy. The "Front Desk" is easily available by text and very responsive. Parking is in designated spaces. Coffee makers are Keurig. The Triangle is a very short walk to: Planet Fitness, Walmart, Raleys, Starbucks, and other retail, I'll definitely stay here again! I highly recommend it.

The walls are white as are the luxurious linens, and the floor is wood so it really looks clean and uncluttered. We had a small refrigerator and K-cup-type coffee maker. It's funky-somewhere within retro, modern, minimal. We travel with large dogs and they were very happy here. The grass area is close to the room and we found all of the extras for our dogs-water bowl, poo bags, paper towels for wet feet. We found a nice pizza place just off the Sacramento River, so dinner was great also. I think we found the perfect place to stay when we are traveling.

I stayed here the night of August 23, 2025 as the halfway rest point to Susanville. My visit…read morehappened during a 105 degree heatwave, and was very happy to discover that the pool was working. I chose this over the nearby Super 8 because of Yelp reviews, and it was sure worth the extra money to stay here. When you come to the main office, you're greeted with fancy pillars, and you'll notice how it doubles as the main breakfast room with lots of seating, a filtered water fountain and... a washer and dryer ($2 for each)? I was assigned Room 119, a rather large room across from the pool area's entrance that featured a king sized bed with lots of pillows. Appliances: When you walk in, you'll instantly notice that you're in a small hallway that leads to the main room to the right, and a small dressing area to the left that's attached to the bathroom. The dressing area includes towel hangers and a bench to change to and from a bathing suit with a locker-like drawer under the bench. The main room includes a 32in TV, mini fridge and microwave. There are also outlets (two standard and USB) and everything works. You are given SD-quality basic DirectTV service that is piped in as normal TV channels, with the first one being a scrolling channel guide. For a city that aims to be the complete opposite of San Francisco, the artwork in the room screamed it. This place is not for the locals. Amenities: One of the things you notice is a welcome binder that is written by the staff. It gives info about places to go in town and a run-down of the amenities, some you don't find in other Days Inn like a fitness room (which I haven't checked this stay) and dog park. Read it if you stay here. The fancy "nameplate shaped" pool is longer than most other motel pools in the area at 12 yards and the depth goes from 3.5 to 6 feet. At night, the lighting is beautiful, with the pool lighting up purple and string lights illuminating the area, I wish the string lights all worked properly. They were also inflatables available, which was a nice addition. I only wish they provided the towels on-site instead of asking at registration. Internet: The passcode you're given is the network key, and there is no captive portal. The internet is cable fast and the signal is strong. Cleanliness: The room was very clean and bugless. I was given two trash cans (one large and small). Unlike the room, the pool area and dog park left a bit more to be desired. Even though there are clean up bags available, there was dog poop laying in one area. I know it's a dog park, but please be a responsible pet owner and clean that up. The pool furniture left my towels smelling like dog as well. Breakfast: Unlike every other Days Inn I've stayed where I was only given coffee, the apple/orange juice dispenser and a cereal bar/muffin, I was treated to a full continental breakfast here. In addition, you have the choice of scrambled eggs, a waffle machine, a selection of fruits, hot and cold cereals (hot in oatmeal packets and cold with a cereal dispenser) and much more. Conclusion: Even though this is a Days Inn, the amenities it offers makes it like a low key La Quinta, but a few things that prevent it from being such. 4.5 stars.

It's not up to par with some of the hotels I've stayed at nearby, pretty run down. As clean as…read moreclean can be. Will I stay here again? Probably not...but the price was right for three of us to split. For us this trip it's not about the hotels, it's just a place to rest. As long as I don't see bugs or unwanted fluid I'm fine. I ran my blacklight, while my friend sanitized where needed. We didn't hang out coats on the rack because it looked like something splashed all over after I ran the blacklight through it . Bedding had a few stains but at least it didn't look like blood or seminal fluid . So my friends are sleeping, I'm up at after 3am writing this because I can't sleep. I will have to say this place is pretty quiet. At first I was very afraid because upon arrival the train was so loud and we were worried there will be no sleep all night. It's past 3am and I hear a train, but it's not loud at all. I don't hear the neighbors either. So it's nice that the rooms are pretty soundproof. There's a little coffee pot, a couple coffee packs, a mini fridge. We didn't have to use because we have an ice cooler, and a small tv. Paul at the front desk brought us more towels. They provide you with dark towels also to remove your makeup. They charge you extra if your towels are stained. I have blue hair so I bring my own dark towels, and my own pillow cases so I don't stain any hotel beddings. So I shouldn't be charged at checkout. There are plenty of outlets, and usb plug ins for the three of us to charge our devices. Front desk made sure we were on the first floor so we could park right in front. That was very convenient. That's why I give this place a three star instead of a two. If anything changes after checkout I'll be sure to update. The photos I posted aren't mine. They were just random photos I saved from somewhere else.

Of course he told me, it doesn't matter, he would never smoke in a hotel room, if I was there due to my asthma, very sweet, but damn! Well of course the room smelled heavy like an ashtray, wish they would have Febreezed that room. 2nd mistake was ignoring the bad reviews We noticed the pillows were so small, they must have been made for children, and they offered no support. There were cigarette burns and little black stains on the blanket, the sheet had a stain on it, the hand towels had make- up stains on them, the bottom of the bathroom door was messed up, and the paint was off it, the wall next to the bathroom door had a stain on it. The door was hard to close as well. The shower was pretty cool looking but if you decide to turn the water cooler, it causes the nice spray to lose its pressure. The pool had a padlock on it, so not sure if I was supposed to find someone to open it, but I would have figured it would had been left unlocked, as it was not supposed to be closed. The bed was horrible, both sides were definitely worn in, as they were sunken and the middle was not, so it kind of gave the feeling that we were going to roll off the bed. Would not stay again.

Bed sheet on the queen bed and the towels provided had some stains on them, but overall it was fineread more

AND there is an additional charge of $10 per night to be on the bottom floor. The WiFi showed a full signal but wouldn't connect. I had to disable WiFi on my phone and use my Sprint signal which was weak but worked for what little I needed. In the $85 per night price range I'd rate this room 4 STARS. Room was very CLEAN and CONVENIENT. THERE ARE LOTS OF PLACES TO SPREAD THINGS OUT. There were absolutely no odors/aromas of anything which is always a plus. TUB/Shower is outdated but clean. Good hot water and pressure. The cabinet under the sink is so old and ugly it's actually MORE FUNNY than problematic. But because of the cabinet I looked more closely at other things. The bathroom door is ugly AND it sticks! There are many things that are old and dated but with all the other hotels full and the HAMPTON Inn charging $155 per night...we felt Grateful to have this room at all. The manager is excellent. Very nice and friendly and helpful. He brought us an extra chair for company. Good small microwave & refrigerator in the room with a freezer we could refreeze things in. Breakfast consisted of a Grab N Go bag. See my picture! Pretty funny. I generally enjoy budget MOM & POP hotels and choose them over these big chains. They often have a homespun charm about them that makes up for things being just plain old. This place has no homespun charm and I don't consider it a budget priced room at $110 per night...but it HAS been kept clean and the beds are comfortable and the heat works! The TV is Spectrum Cable. And REALLY...if you have a lot of stuff to spread out this place is ROOMY and CONVENIENT! They also THANKFULLY INCLUDE A MULTI-PLUG AC OUTLET BY THE BED! All that, and very friendly management made this a very PLEASANT stay. If you find this review useful please vote!
