I am not sure how the food is, I have tried to eat here numerous times only to find them closed! Today I discovered they close at 5:00pm, why would a restaurant close at 5:00pm? This is the time most people start looking at having dinner, a lot of us are just getting off of work. Came here for the first time today with my sister and we absolutely love it!!! We both got the California Bacon Bowl and it was delicious! All fresh veggies and fresh chicken. Definitely done right. The staff was super friendly and extremely accommodating, as well. The atmosphere is really nice, too. They did a great job with decorating and making it fit the title of being rustic :) can't wait to come back here and try more!! read more

This place is charming and the service is great. A family runs it and I love knowing that I'm truly supporting local. The salads are superb. Fresh, healthy and inventive. My husband ordered a pulled pork sandwich that looked amazing and he says it was really good. This cafe has "to go" pre-packaged meals and really unique specials. Oh!! I almost forgot the soup! How could I almost forget the soup?? I had the Split Pea with ham and it was delicious and clearly homemade. read more

We held an event at their event center. Beautiful venue, decent food. The problem is with the owner. She sent the chef to us 15 minutes before our event started and tried to charge us $500 more than what was agreed upon. Meanwhile our guests are arriving and they are arguing with my mother about the price, while she keeps asking to handle it after the event, which they refuse. I made a comment to my father about how this was completely inappropriate timing and the owner walked up to me from another room and said "F*** you!" And then stormed off. I wasn't even talking to her! So then I'm talking to my mother and saying "This is just the worst timing" and the owner turns to me and said, "You're the worst." Again, wasn't talking to her. I, not wanting to deal with this attitude while guests are arriving, go into the next room and proceed to start talking to people. Meanwhile, my mother agrees to pay her much more than we originally said just to be done with the whole situation so she can greet our guests. A few minutes later, the owner walks up to me again and tries to talk about it. I told her I'm not dealing with her now while my guests are here. Completely rude and so inappropriate. I never once addressed this owner and she found it necessary to insert herself into 3 different conversations I was having just to verbally attack me. The entire situation was just completely inappropriate. What a horrible way to run a business. read more

Great family sandwich shop. But $10 for a 10 lbs. roast beef sandwich makes one wonder of the quality.

Excellent selection of sandwiches, salads and power bowls. The price is reasonable for a very large sandwich. We had an order of just one classic roast beef sandwich as we knew it would be oversized and we were glad we did. We split up the sandwich between us. The sandwich was like 3 inches thick of roast beef, slathered with horseradish sauce and layered with crispy lettuce and slices of tomatoes. I forgot to take a picture of our sandwich to post here probably because we were in awe of the sandwich. We stopped by this place because we liked the name of the restaurant. read more

Very good! Ordered the Buffalo Chicken, Bacon,Cheddar Ranch wrap and it was great! Ordered a company lunch carry out Friday and order was promptly prepared. This was my second time at the Rustic Bluebird and it was so good! I got the turkey avocado and gumbo soup and it was amazing! The two times that I have gone in there the staff has been so nice! Soup was good but cold. Ordered dill pickle. Not sure if they took it from the fridge and had to warm it. Greeted when walking in but the girl behind the counter was not pleasant. Very large portions not a whole lot of flavor but definitely fresh food. Very pricey for deli sandwiches. Cute place. Not very many drink options. Canned soda or bottled water. Not a fan of drinking from cans or plastic water bottles. I guess that's where the rustic part comes in. If you are eating in, the chairs are very uncomfortable. Will not go back due to the price and the unpleasantness of the worker. read more

About the water, they have a self serve cold water cooler right by where you order, but don't have an ice machine. You must have missed it. HUGE sandwich which we split, as well as a bowl of delicious potato au grauten soup. Turkey avacado swiss sandwich. Nice addition to the several great restaurants already near here. read more

If you desire bland sandwiches, oddly put together "bowls", soggy salads, and a passive aggressive owner who needs cooking lessons, come to the Rustic Bluebird. Apparently here, it's a monumental task to produce this basic food that she has no qualms about charging $9-10 for. It's a culinary nightmare. Also, if you're looking for a place to lease, this should be available shortly. It's that bad. So disappointed that the Romeo Restaurant Void continues. To sum up, do yourself a favor, and pick a different place for lunch or dinner. read more

We have been to this quaint sandwich shop in our great town of Romeo. I am so glad that we once again have a place like this in town, it can seem a little pricey if you haven't seen the food... but once you get your sandwich you will realize that it is priced well. My wife and I have been there a few times, and have now agreed that for lunch we can share a sandwich and grab a bowl of soup because neither of can finish our portions!! Love this place! read more

Our first visit. Fantastic food! Farm to table and it showed. Everything tasted so fresh! Employees/owners were very nice and sociable. Not many tables so we got lucky. Seems a crowd started coming right after we sat down. My husband actually exclaimed out loud how delicious his food was - he never does that! NOT WORTH IT!!!! DO NOT GO!!!! SAVE YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY!!! Stopped in for one of their supposed famous salads. Definitely NOT what I received for a whopping $14.97 (with an ice tea). When I opened the container I found literally 3 plus pounds of bacon, pork and little to no actual lettuce to be able to call it a salad. It lacked anything other than pork and some bagged spring mix. No blue cheese, no crunchy onion things as the menu described and was handed out in a styrofoam clamshell carryout container. And now here's the kicker. There was a mystery item/fluid in with the little bit of lettuce and literally smeared on the bottom of the carryout container. The thought of what it was literally made me nauseous. It had zero odor and I sure as heck did not even attempt to taste it. I contacted the restaurant, sent pictures as I didn't want to drive 20 minutes back to the location after returning back to work. I received a phone call from the owner.... her literal response was, "that is pork juice, I assure you of it." mind you it was completely odorless, and had the consistency of a substance I'd rather not say... in her voicemail left to me she continued with.... And I quote. "we are all humans, but we do not lie" Not sure what that means... but right after that nonsensical statement she asked that I never walk back into her place of business ever again... Now, I was not rude. I did not even talk to her. I did not call screaming and ranting... I simply called, asked for a phone number to send a picture to and to let them know of the situation. So.. I suggest that anyone reading this, never walks into her location. Not ever! I personally feel the condition of the food was something below the level of carnival food and her response as a business owner within a small community was unbecoming and had zero professionalism.
