They are currently carry out only here, but their selection is impressive.

The Rustic Bluebird Is a carry out only restaurant these days. We ordered and waited for food, and it was made quickly, in under 10 minutes. Some places suffer from having too many things on the menu. That doesn't seem to be a problem here: I have several different things we order, everything was high quality, and freshly prepared. I'm always on the lookout for burger alternatives. I mean, I love a properly prepared ground beef, but I am interested in lighter alternatives when possible. The black bean burger here is one of the best I've ever had. If I didn't know it wasn't beef, I would have been fooled. A generous amount of avocado is added, but they spread aïoli on both sides of the bun. That's too much of a good thing. I have no complaints whatsoever about the beef burger. This is how hamburgers should be: lean and beefy. And, this is a large patty. The grilled chicken wrap is massive, but a lot of that is due to the gigantic amount of lettuce stuffed inside it. There is enough here for a side salad. In fact, my wife took a lot of the lettuce out and made it into a normal sized wrap, and plans to have the lettuce as a salad later. The mac and cheese we ordered as a side was creamy... maybe too creamy. There seemed to be too much butter, but that might just be due to personal taste. The lobster bisque was thick...really thick. The flavor was robust and nicely seasoned, but it's strictly a purée (no bits of lobster, imitation or otherwise). It needs to be thinned out a bit, since it's almost a paste with this consistency. Creaminess seems to be a recurring theme here. I liked the taste of the coleslaw, but it was overly dressed. They don't have a fryer here, so sandwiches can be accompanied with a nice selection of different flavored chips. And, despite all my comments, I did enjoy the food here. I will definitely be back for the burgers, but I will want to try different sides.

My boyfriend and I have had terrible issues with carry outs lately, due to the pandemic. We want to support local businesses during this difficult time and I know some restaurants have been severally understaffed and the food and service has reflected that. Our meal from The Rustic Bluebird was the complete opposite of that, thankfully! We were able to place our order over the phone and have our food delivered curbside. I ordered the Chicken Salad Salad and it was by far the best salad I have ever had (it's honestly the reason I am writing this review. I keep thinking about the salad!) All the ingredients were fresh and crisp. The portion was huge. So much chicken salad! The flavor was perfect and I loved the raspberry vinaigrette. The dried cherries and walnuts MADE the salad. I cannot wait to have it again soon. Would recommend The Rustic Bluebird to everyone that loves a good salad.

Great spot for a bite, and during the pandemic, they only provide delivery and carry out. The quality still was outstanding, and the staff greeting you at the front of the restaurant were super friendly and accommodating. We settled on the Big Pig and Pulled Pork Mac and Cheese. Both of which were great. The serving sizes are large, so be prepared for leftovers. The flavors are great, and can't complain about the portions. This a great find in a small Michigan town. Check it out!

What a cute little restaurant on the north side of downtown Romeo. I've driven by this place a few times always intrigued, so I just had to give it a try and I'm so glad I did. It's a very unique salad and Sandwich shop with allot of nice offerings. The interior is very cool, sort of the hipster vibe and very comfortable. I actually hit this place two days in a row, oops, I guess the first day was good. So the first day I had the turkey avocado. It's was good, fresh and absolutely huge. Spilt-able huge, it must have had a 1/2 lb or turkey on it. Next up was the big pig, pulled pork, ham and bacon, piled up high like a mountain of delicious pork. I tired and failed to man handle this beast, I had to give up and had to break out the tools. Using a fork and knife was the only way to take this beast down. Pork could have been a tad warmer, but everything tastes really good. Oh my was it filling. So with a cool vibe and interesting menu, I expect to return. Just don't think you'll fly away after eating here.

If you're looking for a cute, small town restaurant-this is it. The decor is adorable, very homey and cozy. The menu offers a great variety of soups, sandwiches, and salads. Everything is made fresh and it's brought to you by a the nicest staff. It's a pretty casual vibe. Today I decided to try the walnut chicken salad wrap and a cup of the lemon rice soup. Both were a huge home run in my book. The soup was delightfully tangy and creamy. The sandwich was huge and full of flavor and texture. The walnuts added a great crunch and contrast to the simple sandwich. It was also loaded with fresh tomato and sweet red onion, rounding out this perfect bite. I'm a big fan of supporting the smaller community restaurants. This is definitely a great place to do that.

I been excited to try this place ever since they opened but I just haven't had the chance yet but when I saw they were doing breakfast I just had to be there. This place has an cool look to it with the exposed brick it has kinda industrial style to it. But it has that historical look to it that is special to the community. The food was incredibly delicious and had a scratch made feel to it. I consider myself a biscuit and gravy snob and this place had the best I have ever had in my life. The person I was with 4 meats that came with her meal. A portion of summer ham, bacon, sausage links and pork belly. Which she is still talking about an hour after we ate. The only reason I didnt give this 5 out of 5 is because it wasnt overally warm when it got to our table but I'm chalking this up to being first day hiccups. I will for sure be back again

This place is a bit far of a drive from Grosse Pointe, but we were going out to Blake's for some cider tasting, and decided to stop based on a recommendation from a friend. We were not let down. This little cafe is pure perfection from the cute decor, friendly waitstaff, and delicious cafe style menu. Prepare to be stuffed because all of the food has great portions. The prices were fair for the amount of food received. You can tell everything is scratch made, down to the bread. High quality! Worth the stop and I wish we lived closer.

I was so happy to revisit this sweet place after such a long absence only to find out how much had changed-and not for the better. I can't continue to visit without a restroom on location. Please don't send me across the street to a gas station to wash my hands or take a child to the bathroom. That's just too difficult. And please I need your coffee back and also water. And please do clean off the outdoor tables between diners. I've loved this place but some of the sparkle was definitely gone after my last visit in October. Don't go too "RUSTIC".

This review for Bird Dogz is a long time coming. We've been following Chef Jess for the last two summers because the food is that good. Almost everything on her decked out hot dogs and chicken sandwiches is made from scratch - from the coleslaw to the pineapple bbq sauce and dill pickle chips, hell I think the mayo is even from scratch. The fresh squeezed lemonade, which comes in several flavors, is what lemonade should taste like, not overly sweet but very refreshing and light. As we're making our way through the menu after many visits already, here are some of our highlights: "Frankie" Hot Dog - jumbo hot dog topped with brown sugar bacon, homemade coleslaw, crushed chips, scallions, and apple butter...yes apple butter and trust me it's literally a perfect compliment to the rest of the ingredients. Our perennial favorite. "Miss Piggy" Sandwich - grilled smoked ham, thick bacon and cheese on fresh baked sourdough. Little bits of cheese grilled on the outside of the sandwhich is a plus #4 Crispy or roasted Chicken Sandwich topped with pineapple BBQ sauce, homemade slaw and pickle chips. Yet another unexpected but very delicious combo Sidewinder fries - Garlic Parmesan flavor - thick, fresh cut fries in a twisty shape with flavor bombs topped throughout Heirloom BLT - delectable sandwich with the large slices of fresh heirloom tomatoes, brown sugar bacon, shredded lettuce, and black pepper crema on fresh baked, toasted sourdough Fresh Lemonade - hand crafted, several flavors and worth it There's also a tempting selection of desserts, some with Tillamook icecream in several flavors. I'm usually too stuffed from the meal to take on a dessert, so I have yet to try and will update the review later. Chef Jess and her crew are friendly and very accommodating to requests. Outdoor seating with cute seating vignettes, even a kids table. We brought our family to Bird Dogz for an impromptu birthday get-together and Chef Jess and her crew went out of their way by setting up a long table decorated for the occasion. With nine people in the party, service was fast and food was consistently delicious. Not much time left in the summer so we're taking in Bird Dogz more often. This weekend they have Peach Festival dessert specials going on. Apparently Bird Dogz holds pop-up events after summer with a different menu(s), which is something to look forward to.

But they also have great looking sandwiches and fantastic ice cream treats. On my first visit I got the following. Frankie Dog- amazing combo of sweet bacon, crispy fresh slaw, apple butter and chips. Was an amazing salty sweet blend...fantastic Garlic Parm fries- loved the pedal shape of the fries great for scooping up the Parm garlic mix and a little ketchup Strawberry float- not just vanilla ice cream with pop. This had chunks of fresh strawberries mixed in...fantastic Blueberry cinnamon roll- this may have been a daily special but I hope not...definitely would like to get it again. What was also nice was the great sitting area they have set up. There were a couple tents set up, and nicely furnished. There were even cards and board games to play while you waited for your food. That was a great touch. I'll definitely be back
