I read several client testimonials on her website before using her services, and was really impressed with the wide range of accolades she received, and all of the different ways that she was able to help people including organizing and preparing for large, international moves. When we finally worked together, all those testimonials proved to be true. She really has a gift for looking at a space and figuring out how to best use it, without being judgmental about all the crap that you were trying to cram in there in the first place. (Hey--it's a one-bedroom apartment! What can I say?) She took a really no-nonsense approach to organizing the overstuffed cabinet space in my little kitchen, and it has completely changed the way I cook in there; it's just so much easier to access the things I need and utilize it on a day-to-day basis. I recommend Juli and OrganizeNY for any organizing job, big or small. I promise that you will thank yourself for making a small investment that will pay off in peace of mind.

I have a reasonable amount of stuff for a single person, and as it tends to do, it accumulated after a few years. (Not hoarder-status or anything, but still.) I work a lot, and I just had no time to organize myself. A friend turned me onto this service, and I'm so grateful. I'm normally a little weird about letting random people into my place (stranger danger and all that), so the fact that it's is run by a mother and daughter was a big plus for me. It sounds like they usually deal with larger scale operations than my place, but they didn't make me feel like a small project or like I was a lower priority. I was seriously ready to just move to a new place, but they saved me a huge expense by going through what I really needed to keep and organizing it in ways that I would never think of myself. From the initial quote conversation to the final product, they were so great. I stayed home most of the time that they were there working, but I didn't feel weird leaving them alone in my house, which was nice. Eventually I moved back to California, but I ended up staying in that apartment a year longer because of the work they did. They space felt bigger and brighter once they were done . . . and done. Just had a closet installation to find there isn't enough height to hang clothing without it…read moretouching the ground. There was sufficient space to have these units positioned high enough that clothing could hang clear. Also note these are women's shirts pictured - it would be far worse if it was men's clothing hanging in here. The units are also so low you need to bend down to access. It's not functional and the designer was more worried about the shelf space above and aesthetics than the fact it was hanging space when I spoke to her about the design issues. when I called to say there was an issue with their design i was told because I signed off (the designer never demonstrated dimensions and only showed diagrams), I would be charged to remedy. Note: The first comment was you will need to pay to fix this rather than we are really sorry you are not satisfied with the installed product. A shelving unit is also extremely shallow given there is space for it to be twice as deep. To give a sense of size. It's 12 inches deep - there is space for a 24 inch deep shelving unit which would allow flexibility to store folded clothing -and would maximize the space. the long hanging space isn't long enough without sacrificing the shelf space they made at the top. Once again more height is available. It's incredibly disappointing to wait weeks for an outcome that is so far from satisfactory particularly given the cost involved. I'm also left wondering how a company that specializes in custom closets and does this everyday would deliver a solution that is clearly not functional. This is after having someone out to measure before installing - it was multiple visits and neither the designer or installer had said that the hanging space wasn't long enough to actually hang clothing with sufficient clearance. It's beyond disappointing and the attitude of the company is one of how do I do the least possible to make you grudgingly accept this rather than how do I make you a happy customer. When discussing the install with the designer (she showed up late after the install was completed even though they have a policy the designer comes when the install is happening) she even was rolling her eyes at one point when she thought I wasn't able to see her. The service has been nothing short of appalling and as a potential customer you need to know what happens when they don't get the design right and how well they work to resolve issues. This was completed 2pm, designer arrived around 2.30pm and I am still waiting for the owner to call me to discuss how this will be remedied (this is the following day). This is a company that doesn't stand behind their product and lacks customer focus. Tuesday 3rd September - after promising they would call Friday afternoon to let me know how they would address the issues, they didn't contact me. I had not heard from the store manager by 3.15pm on Tuesday so called them. Still no course of action - was informed because I signed off I was responsible for the cost of replacement and that the entire wardrobe would need to be pulled out and rebuilt. They once again said they didn't know what would be hanging in the wardrobe and if it was a kids room or adults. My clothing was in the wardrobe when they measured - there was zero doubt this was an adults wardrobe. Monica also discussed putting shoe racks under the hanging space - which is clearly not a possibility given the design she actually delivered. She also didn't ever show me heights just pictures of the design. Given this is a company which designs wardrobes and they are custom - I would expect them to design something which is functional an provides adequate clearance to hang items. They promised to get back to me Wednesday with a course of remediation. After spending so much money its extremely poor customer service and they don't stand behind their work.

First, the positives. The design process was excellent, Rachael the salesperson was helpful and…read moreresponsive, and the final installation looks very good. But that's about all I have to say that's positive about this company, even though there is a preponderance of positive reviews here. However, in our case... The first installation was scheduled for Monday 4/9-Tuesday 4/10, about five weeks after we signed the contracts. But we were initially told the installation would take place in two to three weeks. Then, on April 1 we were told that the installation needed to be pushed forward three weeks because some of the material hadn't been delivered. That was a big thing. So the installation actually took place the week of April 23, two full months after we contracted with this company. Even then, on the first day of the installation when we were told the installer would arrive between 9:30 and 11, he did not arrive until 12:15. That was a small thing. On the second day, he arrived just before 11, which is sort of late for this kind of job. But maybe that's just me. That was a small thing. The bottom shelves of the closet installation were delivered as shoe racks, when we had specified regular shelves. So he had to come back on Saturday with the correct shelves. That was a big thing. On the final day of the installation (Saturday), he brought the correct shelves but did not bring all of the drawer hardware. Another small thing. They are mailing them to us. Like I said, the installation itself was good and it all looks fine. But the delays, aggravation, and an almost complete absence of customer service and communication from anyone in the company aside from delay notifications and constant communication with our salesperson is, to me, inexcusable. It would have been worth it to spend the extra $1200 to go with the other choice and probably avoid the aggravation we went through.
