From my initial call to schedule my cleaning, to the completion of the job, the Red Baron Team were all very personable and professional. I was shocked to see that my white carpet looked fabulous and smelt great. The guys were gentlemen and a pleasure to have in my home. I would HIGHLY recommend them. Thank you! The first flooring company we used to install the family room floor 20 years ago set up their chop saw in the family room and didn't block off the room from the rest of the house. We were cleaning dust from the entire house for months. Bischof closed off every room, set up their equipment outside and did a great job. They came exactly when they said they would, they did the work expertly and we are very pleased with the entire experience.

They gave us a cap on the number of stains to show us and one of the guys actually took white paint and splattered it on the floor and told us that was what white washed was. When challenged he just stared at his phone and refused to engage. Half way through the project we also realized we already had white oak on part of our floors once the carpets were ripped up and Joe's team took the new white oak WE had paid for without even asking us and did not adjust the price after we asked a number of times to see a revised quote. The old floor looked completely different to the new floor that was installed on half the floor. When we reached out to Joe to question this and also finish the job (his team left unfinished sections of the floor and all the shoe moulding), he ghosted us. The worst customer experience - would not recommend. If I could give negative rating I would!

I would advise caution when considering this contractor for home improvement projects. We hired…read moreFive Star to renovate our kitchen, bathroom and foyer. While initially friendly, he became very unprofessional after egregious errors in workmanship were made by Jese and his team. The tile work in all three areas were uneven with extreme lippage in some areas, had large grout lines that were cracked and messy, and were not properly adhered to the floor. Jese acknowledged the problems and promised to fix them, even going so far as to order replacement tiles. However, after over a year of repeated attempts to get him to return and resolve the situation, he stopped responding and never followed through on his commitment to make it right. Left with no other recourse, we filed a lawsuit in small claims court. The judge reviewed the evidence, including photos of the substandard work and communications promising to correct it, and ruled fully in our favor, awarding us a judgment of over $10k. Jese/Five Star Construction never paid this amount, forcing us to make a claim with the Connecticut Home Improvement Guaranty Fund administered by the Department of Consumer Protection. We are now in the process of having all of the work redone properly by someone who has specific tile expertise. We learned our lesson and before hiring anyone for a home renovation, we strongly recommend checking with the Department of Consumer Protection for prior complaints, looking up licenses, and searching public court records (available online) for lawsuits and small claims involving contractors you are considering. This can help avoid a stressful and costly situation like the one we experienced with Five Star Construction.

Their friendly, capable crew picked up and returned the hand-cleaned carpets and actually helped us get them in place with new pads, assisting with moving some heavy furniture. In one case they performed a miracle because that old rug had been in a basement. It was heavily soiled and it came back looking nice enough that we placed it in the primary bedroom. Kaoud's work was outstanding. Do not be surprised that it takes some time. Your rugs are literally hand washed and air dried, so in our case it took four weeks from pick up to reinstallation. But the time it took them was understandable. The staff is knowledgeable and answered all of our questions up front. I can Highly recommend them.

Andrew made us feel like family and it was one of the single best customer experiences I've ever had. Andrew went above and beyond to do everything he could to make it exactly what we wanted.
