Food was good, service was really good. However, their drink prices are out of this world. Husband ordered a Woodford Reserve on the rocks - drink was $13 not too bad - but they charged an additional $2 for on the rocks - which means they charge for ice!!!! My dirty martini was $17 and they didn't have stuffed olives. Dinner with tip was $145. We don't even spend that much at some of the fancier restaurants we go to. read more

I was recently at a wedding in their banquet section. The presentation upon arrival made me feel very 5 star, from the mimosa bar, fruit display & hors d'oeuvre presentation was A++. Upon arrival you were personally welcomed to your [wedding] by a team member. The food and service confirmed my sentiments! Their service staff was on top of serving, clearing and even offered table side beverage service..... very classy venue from staff to facility to meal. The food was very tasty and flavorful. I've been in the hospitality for a LONG time and this type of service in the "downriver" area was beyond my expectations. This place can easily be compared with a tier one city!! Went to the Roc for the first time last night. The food and ambiance was excellent. It is a little pricey but you get what you pay for.

Absolute bullshit is what occurred tonight. My girlfriend calls up at 9:18 pm to make sure they are still open and serving people EVEN THOUGH she shouldn't have to because the website clearly states open until 10:00 pm on wednesdays. The person said yes we are come on down and then proceeeded to completely forget and not give a fuck about her and close the store down 5 minutes after that because of what followed next. Because of what we were told on the phone we proceed to get all dressed up , walk in the pouring rain and get our clothes and hair soaked. And then we arrive at the restaurant and an employee looks at us and sees us standing at the locked door and can't even come to the door to let us in or at least come to the door and tell us she's going to get her manager no sees us standing at the locked door in the pouring rain and just leaves us standing there in the pouring rain looks at us does not say a single thing and walks away leaving us there and goes to get her manager. Then the manager comes to the door and tell us it is closed, we say it is before 10:00 and it is not 10:00 yet and she says well we closed a half hour ago because no one came.... UM hello well someone just came... US. Meanwhile as I just said we called up beforehand to see if they're still open and serving and they say yes we walk in the pouring rain because of that and that's what we get told when we show up. The person said yes we're still open come and then literally closed the place a minute after because then when we show up the place has been closed for a half hour. We even made sure of it by knowing the time we were turned away from the door and the time we made the phone call We show up as paying customers before closing time and get turned away. 10:00 means 10:00, not 9:30. Do not close the restartaunt because no ones there like really you just assume no one else will show up well because you did ASSUME that two paying customers walked in the rain and got turned away before closing. You at the very least could of told us on the phone you're gonna close the restaurant down early not say YES and then make us walk in the pouring rain to be told that. Absolutely poor service and beyond rude. Go fuck yourself. You'll never receive my money again. Instead of walking away as satisfied customers we walk away bitter and resentful against the place and the employees and the poor character they have which shows in the way they treat people. No not walking away satisfied, walking away pissed that I just got dressed up to walk in the rain to be turned right around to have to walk in the rain again and being sure we'll never return again. That's the very fucking reason we made the phone call in the first place , to AVOID making a trip for nothing. And the dumbass tells us yes we're still open and then we arrive we're told they closed a half hour early. HELLO that's when we called you! read more

My husband surprised me last night with dinner at this cute little Italian restaurant. He found it online and read the reviews. When we pulled in, the parking lot was full, but that was due to the hall upstairs being rented too. We arrived just before 5, and even though we didn't make reservations they accommodated us. The atmosphere was very romantic other than the TV's all around, but they were muted. We had a great bottle of Chianti with our dinner. Husband had veal parmesan, and I had a delicious chicken dish with fresh vegetables, feta, and linguini noodles, served in a very light sauce. Soooo good. We were both very pleased with everything. It is a wonderful place for a intimate dinner or a very special celebration with family or friends. Not enough of these type of places in the area! read more

Love this place!! Food is always excellent and service is outstanding. I have been here many times and I have never had a poor experience. Both food and service have always been great. They have a live band on Wednesday, which is amazing. And there wine menu is excellent. We go here for all of our special occasions. I would 100% recommend. I had dinner there last Saturday, there were 6 of us in our party. Started out with drinks, loved the atmosphere by the way! Our salads were next, I ended up with a piece of glass in my salad, cut my tongue, and finger as I was trying to get the pieces out of my mouth. I told the waitress, she was very apologetic and nice. She told the manager and it stopped there. After we ate our dinner, and of course, I had a hard time eating after that! Well, when we were finished eating and of course eveyone was full, The waitress offered us free dessert for the glass incident, WHAT? I understand things happen but as a manager, it is your job to make sure people are happy and avoid reviews like this! But nope he never came to our table! Then to make matters worse, my husband came home later and was eating his left over spaghetti and meatballs (which were hard as rocks) and he pulled out a small piece of wood from his mouth after chewing on something hard. We had a family dinner for 23 at the Roc it wasn't for any special occasion other then eating great food and being together. Pamela Fiorelli was so accommodating and the wait staff took such good care of all of our needs. Would highly recommend this place, we are already planning to have another dinner in the spring. read more

We always have great meals here. Been coming here for probably 5 years and never disappointed with the quality. In my opinion, the best pizza in the area. Try the Calamari too. It is excellent and a huge portion. Steaks and pastas are all great too. Aside from the great food, we love the relaxing atmosphere here. Almost like you are down in a wine cellar. I have been there twice in December and the food is wonderful. The Fiorelli Family has owned the restaurant for years and my mom and three of my sisters worked there long ago. I love the cozy atmosphere of the Roc. I don't understand the negative reviews-the place is really small and beer on tap will take up space they don't have. My daughter ordered a Stella and they had it. They have a nice selection of liquors and wines but not huge. We all had pasta on our recent trip and everyone liked it. The Pizza is very good also. My only criticism was the cannoli shell was thick and tough but the filling was good-you could not split one because of the shell. My decaf coffee was wonderful-Dowe Egberts from the Netherlands. The staff is friendly and efficient. I'm pretty picky about how my food is prepared and served and they do a great job. read more
