A super unique hidden gem deep in da woods actually Estral Beach. Thanks for Google maps for percise detail instructions. Open about a year now was a work in progress for three years. A century old building totally remodeled first floor. A most incredible interior dining room and bar along with marvelous patio for dining n drinking out back. Really strange hours open at 4:30 pm that's a covid thing that will end hopefully soon. Been on my list for about 6 months, knew exactly what I wanted. Two authentic Hungarian dishes on menu be Chicken Paprikash n Hungarian Cabbage With Noodles (Káposztás Tészta) absolutely outstanding balance of Flavor loaded with Bacon a real winner. Chicken Paprikash one of the most famous and beloved of all Hungarian dishes, this authentic Chicken Paprikash recipe features tender chicken in an unforgettably rich, flavorful and creamy paprika-infused sauce!  It's pure heaven! Looking forward to a return visit for the Italian food was told by a customer the very best ever All Meat Pizza ever. He told me it's life changing sparks my interest. Gonna take the Grandsons for a dining outside Patio experience. Find them on Facebook Yelp and Google for great reviews. Follow the Facebook page for daily Specials and day's hours open. #vincentvs #hungarianfood #chickenpaprikash #káposztástészta #italianfood #pizza #hiddengem #downriverfriendseat

I like this place a lot. It is a surprisingly strong and busy cultural center for a culture with a…read morerapidly aging population in our area. They serve dinner on Friday nights and the food is very good. Everything is fresh because they do not serve dinner the rest of the week, so you know that whatever you are getting is top quality and freshly made. I have had their venison dinner, which is excellent, their roasted chicken, which is surprisingly delicious for how simply it is prepared and I love their specials. The prices are great and a whole family can have an amazing, delicious meal at about half the price of a comparable meal at the next closest Hungarian restaurant. Another great thing about this place is that they actually try to teach others about their culture as opposed to just being a cultural center for tax benefits. They offer Hungarian dance classes for children that are so unique and well taught that I am happy I can bring my daughter, even though it is a long way from my house. Although I do not speak Hungarian, nobody has made me feel out of place and since my daughter has Hungarian heritage from her father's side, I appreciate that she is able to experience and explore this lovely culture through their cultural center and their activities.

I used to enjoy dining here and have recommended it to anyone interested in Hungarian food, but…read morethey are no longer open for indoor dining and if you try to call for information - they rarely answer the phone and do not have any recording to inform potential customers what is happening. I was told they are open for pre order carry out every other week - try to figure that out!

I was looking for a nice sit down restaurant that can allow me to be present and enjoy the quiet ambiance as opposed to chitter/chatter and general noise. I read that reservations are needed. I called Tuesday night and asked if I can get a table w/o one. The gentleman that took the call was very polite and said I can absolutely come in. This was pretty much next to the bookstore I went to on Monday. I didn't even know because I was too wrapped up in the book that I just purchased. I rarely do things like this because I feel guilty for enjoying myself on a work trip. That I away from my kids and my cats. I was seated right away. Service was spectacular. I did not get his name. I enjoyed our exchange. He shared that he lived in San Diego before moving back and checked on me throughout my dining experience. I ordered the kielbasa from the appetizer menu. The grilled onions, pickles, fresh carrots and purple cabbage, especially the mustard made the kielbasa so succulent and savory. I have been craving for pierogi so that was what I ordered as my main entree. I had one of each flavor that they offer. It was a surprise w/ each bite because I did not know which was which. I was surprised I didn't devour the plate. My entree came w/ a fresh salad w/ house made ranch and house made roll (dense but airy!). After I ordered, I marveled at the decor. That rustic and historic vibe. There was a frame that holds music notes from Mozart and a piano to my left. I love how serene and intimate this restaurant was. I only took my phone out to take pictures of my food because I wanted to enjoy the solitude I seldom get to have. Come here! Take yourself out! You deserve it. Great food. Great atmosphere. Great service!
