I feel as though most reviewers of strip clubs are "high end rollers" who want to wait to be waited on. Or at least that is what they aspire to be for the limited time that their limited funds can afford them. Me, I tend to venture to such clubs when I am: 1) single, cause otherwise I got someone to send hundreds of dollars on; 2) on vacation, so I have loads of idle time on my hands; and 3) in the black, I don't play poker or venture into nudie bars with money I'll actually miss. And when I do, it's a buffet I'm seeking. I heard about the Baltimore strip scene from my cousin, and I happened to have the evening alone, so might as well have an adventure. I contemplated going to "The Block". Because that is where the majority of choices were situated, but this place was closer to my hotel. I'm glad I did. The bouncer was pretty friendly. He also had ties to NYC, so when he saw my ID, we chatted for a minute until he had to take care of some other customers. $15 for entrance, but even the ticket takers boobs were hanging out. I mean, a movies at AMC cost $18 these days. And as soon as I got past the curtain, my eyes got their money's worth. Breasts and behinds everywhere. I nearly made it the stage before I realized that I didn't have a drink in hand. So I waited a bit. The bar area is pretty small. I'd say put two people back there, but they'd bump into each other constantly. Decent drink prices, prorated for the bozangas and cheeks even the bartender was showing. You want happy hour $2 beers, go somewhere without nudity. The show was awesome. Chicks were climbing high on the pole and doing some awesome tricks. I had to grab another batch of singles just to feel appreciative. One caught my eye, and I slipped her a twenty. When she finished her set I approached her for the lap dance. This is what I mean about "high rollers" earlier. I've seen a bunch of reviewers complaining about girls not coming over, like it's some sort of rejection. This is commerce, not the high school prom. You want something, go get it. There were a bunch of cute, athletic women on stage. I saw what I wanted on the buffet and put it on my plate. As a matter of fact, a dude asked for a lap dance right after me. Even though he was closer. I guess he was one of these wait to be waited on dudes. The dancer was cute and thick. Nice body. She was really friendly as well. I'm a talker, so we chatted while she did her thing. She mentioned when each song ended, so there would be no surprises. The price was a bit steep, $30 per song. We paid cover no problem gave the host a nice tip and she was the best experience we had there . We get in and no one even the Barber bartender I go or asked us for a drink. I don't make hittin' the strip clubs a habit, but when offered, I'm like, hell, why not? This is one of the classier ones I've been to, and I can honestly say I didn't find myself disgusted by much, which is great for a strip joint. The girls were actually pretty decent, most of them on the thinner side (which is what I like), one that was kind of big (I guess for dudes that are into that), and a few in the middle. I think I only saw one with a fake chest, everyone else's was cute and moderate (apart from the big girl). None of them were pushy or annoying when coming up to you, and this wasn't the type of place that allowed them to walk around naked, which says a lot about the sanitary condition of the place. It was nice. The drinks were reasonably priced as well, and cover wasn't too high. read more

My initial impression of the Ritz was so-so. I'm not sure when the "NEW Ritz" came to town but I do feel like it's gotten better over the last few years. I also saw that in the City Paper that it got votes for best strip club. The girls are a mixed bunch and they come around to see if you are interested and then mosey along to the next prospect. Not pushy or as transactional as some places, and not as friendly as some others. Drinks ran me $8 per Tanqueray and Tonic which is par...and door cover was $10. The vouchers are only good before 10pm. The club is two floors. The main floor is a bit narrow but can accomodate you in different ways: They have barstool seating, chair seating, couch seating, and stageside seating. While I had a good time, not sure if I'd classify it as a great time...more of a place to relax with a few friends and check out some naked dancing chicks. read more

I've lived in Baltimore off and on for 20 years and I've been to the Ritz more than a few times (Its been around quite awhile too). Its a small place and the bar is not as stocked as others. I think it used to be a row home years ago. The real draw is the lack of bad attitude from all the employees. The door man, the bouncers, the dancers the bartenders, and even the bathroom attendant are all nice. Nobody is trying to drain the last drop of money from your wallet (see Scores review) and the bouncers aren't over-pumped boltnecks looking for human flesh to dine on. On our last visit my wife actually got onstage (left her clothes ON) and made $41! If you want to avoid thieving skanks and roid' raging lunatics, come here. read more

Who says girls cant go to stripclubs? Only lame ones :) For my 22nd birthday I wanted to go salsa dancing, so a bunch of my friends got together and went to the Latin Palace on Broadway which ruled. When we finished up and everyone departed ways, I noticed the Ritz across the street. I walked over and decided it was worth a try. When the bouncer saw it was my birthday, they let my whole party in without any cover charge. The girls at this club are sweet, keep their distance (unless you want them up in your face) and actually will carry on intellectual conversations with you. Am I really the first person on Yelp to review the Ritz? Are the rest of you just too embarrassed to do so? If you live around here, you know you've been here...at least once...a month...so just man up and get on with it. Anyway... ...if you've seen The Wire, then you've seen the Ritz. In season one it was the Barksdale crew's safehouse, called "Orlando's". In real life, the Ritz is one of the nicer "gentlemen's clubs" I've ever been to. It hit that nice middle ground between being dirty & dingy and being upscale. It was a comfortable place. The girls who worked here were genuinely friendly and not too pushy or trying to hustle that hard. And a lot of the girls who worked here were of the all natural, pierced & tattooed, punky-goth-rocker variety. (I actually became friends with a few of them outside the club environment). They're also very welcoming to having female patrons there, which is a rarity. But then around 2008, new management came in, tried to fix the place up and make it classier, and a lot of the old girls left. The new girls were of the blonde, overly perfect, silicone-injected variety...the kind of girls you'd find at every other boring, generic strip club on The Block...and the Ritz just lost its charm for me. Oh well. I haven't been in a few years now, and I don't imagine I would like it as much anymore. But for the 2+ years I lived in Baltimore, the Ritz made living in the city just that much less miserable. read more

For Baltimore, this is pretty much as good as one can hope for when it comes to a strip club. When you get bottle service you get your own stage and the girls dance for you. The first stripper, a heavy-set woman with a massive chest and a mastery of verbal inercourse dropped right on my lap and started talking baseball. I was hooked. What can I say? I went here with some friends for a bachelor party. Part of our night here was fun, but towards the end we wanted to do something special for the groom. One of the people working there said that for $85 we could get our friend on stage and in the hot seat. This sounded great (we would have easily paid more) and we gave her our money, and then received absolutely nothing in return. He was never called up and the worker had disappeared. By the time we spoke to a manager the place was closing, and he was not very helpful. In the end he did not reimburse us and just gave us his card, saying that he wanted to "make this right." If he had really wanted to do that he should have just given us our money back. Be really wary here, and if you want special services make sure to have a manager present to confirm exactly what you want. Otherwise you'll probably get ripped off like we did. read more

A few girl friends and I wanted to have a ladies night out at the strip club and we choose the Ritz. Outside it's small, housed in a rowhouse in Fells. Inside is about the same, typical Baltimore rowhouse, long and not very wide. The doormen and girl taking cover charges ($10 on a Friday night) were all very nice. They also had a free coat check. Drinks were average price, $6 but the glasses were small. You'll be done a mixed drink very quickly. A waitress came around with shooters in test tubes so we got one of those for $5. It was very strong. Most of the girls were good looking, all natural, and not disgustingly skinny. A lot of dark hair and tattoos. I approve. I think I only saw one blonde and noone had extremely fake looking parts either. A few black ladies climbed the pole and did a few little tricks, but there was nothing really impressive going on. The music was mostly newer rap. I would've liked to have heard things mixed up with some rock. It seemed to be just a DJ playing a mix rather than the girls picking what songs they wanted. My only complaint would be they really needed to smile more. I know you're trying to look sexy but you look miserable. Noone was rude or tried overly hard to get our money. The only creeper was a nice old drunk man who complimented our group. There was an upstairs area we didn't go to, that's apparently where lapdances happen & there's a VIP area. We considered getting one but it turned out to be more trouble than it was worth. You have to find the girl, walk her upstairs, etc. We didn't really feel like sticking around a lot longer so we left. Overall, it was a fun experience. Would I go back? Decided to take my husband out for his birthday and a friend of ours recommended this place. After parking and a short walk, we arrived for a what we hoped to be a good time. My first impression was I did not like this place, the doorman seemed a bit rude and at first our party did not have a place to sit. After that was taken care of and our drinks were ordered it did not take long for my first impression to change. The drinks were smaller than I'd prefer, but I was able to get that taken care of also. WE ALL ARE SO GLAD, our friend recommended this place!!! We will be returning very soon! Went last night with husband! It was my first strip club and at first it was pretty intimidating because the door guy was rude and there was really nowhere to sit but after a while I relaxed. The dancers were all very nice, some even come up and introduce themselves while dancing if you tip. You could either put tips between boobs (if no clothing) or in the garter or thong. Waitresses were also very nice. Drinks were a little expensive at 8$ per shot and 11$ for a drink (I think, I'm sure it was 8 per shot). I checked out VIP and it wasn't that impressive, no dancers up there and no poles. If you get into VIP you are just looking down at the action which is all on the first floor. Dancers were all very attractive, all very thin except for one curvy chick who had ALL kinds of tricks, she was awesome. Thumbs up. Only complaint (not really a complaint) I wish the dancers had more variety in looks and moves. Sometimes I felt like I was seeing the same chick over and over again. For Baltimore this club is decent but not awesome. The dancers are average looking, no one that amazing. Staff is polite though and drinks are typically priced. The place is clean enough with a red and dark decour. It's a small place with narrow stages, but you get a good view of the all nude ladies. For a strip club in the middle of popular Fells Point, it's a good place to end up after a bar hop. I originally went to this place on a friday night in march for a friends birthday and we had such a good time. The girls were voluptuous and not really skinny. Everyone went on stage and did their thing. There was even this one girl who looked me dead in my eyes as she licked her boobs! She was my favorite. I ended up sharing the bathroom with a stripper who proceeded to tell me how dead it was out there and that she barley made $100 mind you it was after 1am. He didn't care, said it is still $10. I left and went to SCORES where they didn't charge me a cover! I spent thousands at SCORES and became a VIP quickly! I was with my 3 friends, 1 guy and 2 hot chicks and decided to take them to Ritz. Once again, the "door man" said it would be $40 cover for all 4! He was even going to charge the girls!
