My significant other and I enjoy visiting strip clubs in different states whenever we travel, so before coming here I spent about an hour researching different spots and noticed this club had some of the best Yelp reviews. We decided to give it a try and honestly had a really good time overall. The cover charge was $20 at the door, which I thought was reasonable. One thing I immediately appreciated was the diversity of the dancers. I enjoy seeing women of color represented, so I was happy to see a good amount of beautiful brown-skinned women working that night. A few of the dancers I spoke with were not only gorgeous, but also had really fun personalities and made the environment feel welcoming. My boyfriend and I are not really into private dances, so we spent most of the night sitting at the bar, enjoying the music, watching the stage performances, and tipping the dancers. The dancers here do perform fully nude, and several of them had impressive pole tricks and stage presence. I highly recommend asking for Coco Dream -- she was definitely my favorite because of both her personality and her dance skills. The bartenders were attentive the entire night and made tasty drinks as well. The music was good, from what I remember, they played a lot of hip-hop mixes. So after yesterday's disappointments (please see previous review for context), we decided to reset the night and try Over/Under Sportsbook Rooftop Lounge--because at this point, all we wanted was good vibes and a decent drink. On the way up, the elevator stopped on the second floor and the music was hitting. Like... the kind of energy that makes you pause mid-step. But we stayed committed to the rooftop plan and kept going. Big mistake. We get to the rooftop and--sure, it's a sports bar, so every game is on, volume up, zero music. Which... fine, if that's your vibe. It just wasn't ours in that moment. So we did what any reasonable group would do--we turned right back around and went to investigate that second floor. Now, stepping off the elevator, it looks like a lounge. We walk in and are told there's a $20 cover. Slight pause. Slight confusion. I peek inside and see... let's just say, a very different type of entertainment. So naturally I ask, "Is this a strip club?" Yes. Yes, it is. At this point, curiosity wins. We pay the cover--and here's where the night takes a turn for the better: each of us gets a free drink coupon. After the prices we had just experienced earlier that day, this felt like a small victory. And honestly? No regrets. The dancers were talented and genuinely entertaining--not awkward, not forced, just a good time. The wings? Surprisingly amazing. Like, better-than-they-need-to-be amazing. And the drinks were solid too. Unfortunately, no pictures allowed, so you will have to take my word for it. Overall: came looking for a rooftop, ended up somewhere completely unexpected--and somehow had a better time than the places we planned to go. I visited DC for work and wanted to check out the nightlife. It was pretty slow for a Monday, but there was plenty of entertainment. I had a wonderful evening with Raven, who pleasantly introduced herself no more than 2 minutes after I sat down. The bar was fully stocked and tended by wonderful and beautiful bartenders. The music was fairly loud downstairs in the main level, making it challenging to talk with the dancers. It made the private room that much more enjoyable, to have the uninterrupted experience where it is just you and the dancer. The security is very serious regarding the private rooms and stage dancers, which I appreciate and respect. Overall, I would certainly visit again the next time I visit the DC area. The place is very nicely done. One of the nicer looking nightclubs in town. Finding it a bit of a pain as it's just a floor sign and a dude sitting at the door. Dancers are very pushy. The bartender was an amazing conversationalist. Watch out for the upstairs dance hustles. Same as the other review, they will not tell you the prices of private dances until you are upstairs with the dancer and two bouncer guys. They stated that it would be $1000 starting for a room for 45 mins. When I said no thanks and started to walk away, they began to lower their prices but not by much. After that experience, I left. ya know?!!! a lot of mixed reviews and I can agree with a lot of them. Some good and some not so good. Based on my short experience here are my comments. The good parts for me - I've only been here twice, on a Fri night after work and then on a Sat 10ish. The crowd is a little heavier on Sat. The variety of dancers, there is a mix. Are they International models from Brazil and Russia? Not that I could tell, but I did see a some nice talent in there, met a couple as well. Most are well mannered and it's a gig where they entertain....so don't fall too hard at first sight. :) I enjoyed myself. Going back for a second time and not right after work, I looked at the website for dress code and played it safe with a button up and slacks. To my surprise, t-shirts and shorts were plenty in the house when I arrived and after. Based on my observation, 75% of the patrons were very casual. Now this one will probably bug you out. I went with the intention of getting a private /room dance. And it was pretty $$$$ for 30 mins. Like over $500 steep. My first time, maybe that is the going rate, but I was very surprised. I'm talking I should have went VIP with some Bottles steep. So bare with me, second time to this establishment and I didn't notice one sign that tells you how much what service is what. Maybe find a solid answer before you go upstairs with your selection. *keep that in mind* From what I've learned, the price could be w/e the man says it is for me $$$$ and then $$ for you. It's hearsay based on comparing with a couple other ppl. You can touch, just not in those private areas and no kissing. A really, really nice time! This is a mostly-straight-woman-y review, focusing on such important strip club attributes as drink prices and bathroom cleanliness, so be forewarned. But I will say, the main attraction, ~*the ladies*~, were all really lovely and talented. I've only been to a total of maybe 6-8 clubs in DC, Chicago and LA, but I do think the overall dancing/dancers were better here than any other I've been to. Door staff and bartenders were friendly, club was clean and attractive, stage setup was cool, bathroom well-appointed and maintained. (Dangit! The bathroom! That's where I meant to ask the girls where they get their lash extensions. To be fair, I clearly warned you about this review.) Anyway. $20 cover was more than fair as no one was pushing drinks or anything else. I could have nursed one drink for hours and no one would have bothered me about it. I know I'm a woman, but I observed the same treatment of single men around me. Plus, when I did get drinks, I naturally expected them to be at $$$Strip Club Prices$$$. But I was pleasantly surprised when I got the bill. It was either $9 or $10 for a Dogfish Head IPA? The same beer is $6-9 absolutely everywhere else in DC, so totally reasonable. It was something like $7-9 for other beers, maybe $6-8 for a 17-oz Acqua Panna. I can't remember if those prices included some gratuity, because I decided to add a tip anyway. The total was $42 including tax (and possibly a basic tip) for 2 premium beers, 1 "domestic" beer and the 1 Acqua Panna. It was fine. It's been like 10 years since I'd been to a strip club, but based on what I remember from another DC club (coughCamelotcough), I'd expected beer to be like $15+, water $10+. I brought cash, which the front desk quickly exchanged for singles, so no ATM or other fees. All in all I spent like $125 (which included lots of tips for the dancers and bartenders), for 2.5 hours of really quality entertainment and four drinks. That's like taking yourself out for a moderately-priced 3-course meal like steak and wine but not really expensive but maybe you get a little dessert as well like a creme brulee what am i selling here i've lost the plot Bottom Line: I'm the kind of person who likes to explore and try a little bit of everything, but if I decide to visit a strip club again in the near future, I won't even bother trying another. The bartender from Texas was gorgeous and I asked her if she gets the compliment of being the cutest woman in there. She smiled. I had money to spend. My partner sees a girl that finally catches the eye. I walk over and ask her to come over. She tells me dances are $100. I've never been there so I agree. After thinking about it, I ask the bartender to confirm. Nope that was for a dance at the top. Hmmmm. Well, now I feel like I'm being Hustled. No tips for you. We had money to spend and to give away. No dancers came up to us after their sets. The ones that walked by, I made sure to tip: they aren't there for nothing. Had all the girls demanded attention they each would have had tips from us for their entertainment. Lots of attire of the women were very different. I would have thought they would have been dressed elegantly given that this club is "up scale". Not so: the attire down grades this establishment. Wonder if it will last. Would I come back? As far as your dancers not demanding tips, it's not per se a demand, it is simply them being hospitable. As a customer, I'm walking in your house, as you would with any guest (simple manners) I would think all the girls would be friendly and come and say hi, introduce themselves and market themselves. Very clean, professional and friendly staff. Security was extremely diligent in keeping guests behaved and the atmosphere welcoming. We are both white collar professionals and trying to find new places to go. The Cloakroom is located in a very safe and well populated area. We made the walk from dinner in Chinatown. Everyone in the club was super friendly and helpful to us as first timers. We enjoyed our drinks as well as talking to the beautiful girls! There are many things to be said about this place. 1) Extravagant and clean. Girls are beautiful and friendly and very attentive to you at all times. Even if you are just sitting down enjoying the view and music. That's a plus!! 2) At first, management and host made it seem we were taken care of without knowing what exactly we were getting into. a) They cleared out a large enough space for us to fit. I believe they even moved a previous party just to accommodate us, which in all reality made me feel a bit bad cause they were there first. So i guess this is a plus as well!!! b) We got assigned a server. Which I thought was pretty cool but unnecessary, cause I can serve my own drinks and so can everyone else. However, i can see the girl assisting was just trying to make it convenient for us. Neutral!! c) Cost of bottle service was pricey but kind of understood due to the estbalishment we were at. So I didn't see any problems with it until we received our bill and my party complained about what was happening while i had my back turned away from the service. Negative!! d) No touching, and from what I saw, no lap dancing either. I think they mentioned it to be illegal. ‍ Overall, the place is beautiful and plenty of eye candy, but if you come here, make sure you don't care if they will stiff you on the bill cause that is exactly what took place this last friday. I'll explain how they went about it. -Price per bottle service: $400.00 x 2 = 800 -Price per water which was not ordered. = approximately $10.00 per bottle. -Price per ice, mixers, service= apparently $300.00 All this was explained while we were covering the tab. Even though upset about the whole situation, we still had to dish out the cost due to inattentive behavior. It so happens, that the 1 true bottle that was ordered ended up being two at the end cause when asking who ordered the other bottle, the waitress and host just stated one of the friends did so, and no one decided to follow up. Waitress and host got upset, when one of my friends caught them taking full drinks back to the bar without them being touched by any of us. So if you look at it from our point of view, if we didn't catch their mistake, we probably would've ended up with 3-4 bottles that night. That's not even pointing out the fact that all this took place in less than an hour and a half. That was just bottle service. I was celebrating a well deserved retirement that evening and little did I know, everything that night was gonna be part of the game. I asked how much it would cost to have 2 girls dance 2 dances for us. Host said that I "didn't need to worry, cause it was already covered by the house due to my service" I said great, and enjoyed my one dance they gave us. To later being presented by the same guy with a tablet charging me for the dances. I wish I could remember his name cause I would call him out. I think he was dominican though, and the other gentleman who was management, was a service member himself. Which I have to say, if he is partaking in this crooked behavior it violates some of the military values. Overall cost for the evening. _Approximately 1500.00. What did that cover? 2 bottles, ice, water, mixers, SERVICE and tip. Make sure you pay attention to that too. When they charge you, they give you a round number. You pay and they ask for tip. When I received my receipt. They charged for what was ordered, service and tip. Which in all reality is the same. Would I recommend this spot? No. Does it have gorgeous women? Yes. Is it cost worthy? Hell no. Look for a different spot if you can. Will tell my govenrment and police buddies to stay away, but if they decide to visit to keep an eye out. Very disappointed. I'm a DC native and have been to all the clubs in the city, none of them hold a candle to Cloakroom. Walking in the door you're greeted by a host, who then escorts you upstairs to the front desk. There is a cover but if you enter before 9 you get a complimentary drink as well. The club itself is more of something you would find in Vegas, NYC, or Miami in fact I remember someone mentioning something about the lights being done by the guy who did E11even's! There's multiple levels, with luxurious sky boxes, and private rooms. The VIP lounge upstairs has more intimate vibes whereas especially on weekends the downstairs is comparable to a club. I had my birthday at Cloakroom and I highly suggest it! The rooftop should be opening soon so keep your eye out (not like I'm a regular or anything...) Pro tip: Deanna makes a mean old fashioned and is sassy and Kayla is a cute server from Cali who can't help but make you smile! Both have served me and my boyfriend before and as someone in the restaurant industry have provided excellent service and guest experience! For hosts ask for Jairo or Marco! read more

The black female bartender: BEWARE OF HER ! She took my drivers license and refused to give it back. She also purposely upcharged me when I asked for a gin and tonic. She assumed I wanted to pay for premium alcohol, without asking me. When I complained - she called her manager who then admitted her bartender had made a "mistake" by thinking she could rip me off without me noticing... To add insult to injury - the manager called pseudo security on me 3 HUGE DUDES - who inappropriately got in my face and took away the drink I just paid for. Then they bullied me into the elevator and forced me to leave, for appropriately pointing out their employees error. Nazar is the hottest and most talented one, hands down. Wayne (door guy) is such a gentlemen and very respectful. Joel was real cool and help directed my friends & family to our table for my Bachelor-ette party. All of the security guys make you feel safe. She had an attitude the second we tried to order a water before we figured out what we wanted.
