Update to previous review. Was recommended by a friend of the jeweler. Picked out setting and was very very very specific white gold for stones and yellow for rest of band. Came in all white gold. Was upset but did look nice. NOTE-WE PROVIDED OUR OWN DIAMONDS FROM MOTHERS WEDDING RING. Picked out anniversary type wedding band to be made from other smaller stones. Fiancé went in and they were about to order in YELLOW GOLD! Not only that, was only going to use 4 stones out of 8 for band. I was quoted very high for the service, which the staff member explained was because they are unique in having a jeweler in house with 33 years' experience... except that other jewelers I've worked with in the area also resize in house. I did not appreciate how the staff member helping me treated my ring. She held out her hand for it in the middle of the store and sort of discarded it on top of the her notes behind the counter, didn't act like it was of any value to her. I felt talked down to several times by the tone used as they explained how basic resizing works and my three stone ring represents the past/present/future. I cannot review the buying process, but I can tell you this place helped my boyfriend purchase the most incredible ring for me! It made me gasp AND made my eyes leak. I love this jewelry store, I have never seen a place with so many different choices in just wedding rings and engagement rings and I have shopped a lot in my lifetime. Plus the ladies there are so friendly and helpful, Jeanette was my sales lady, she was just as excited for me as I was, she opened the cases and handed me a tray to collect my choices to help keep track and to be able to see them side by side, I must have collected 2 trays of different rings then was able to narrow it down to my final choices. Then I had to choose my choice of cut for the diamond, many choices as well. She placed it within the setting to compare the how they looked, I tried the 3 karat pillow cut and the solitaire, I chose the solitaire, so gorgeous!!! My husband and I decided to also find him a new wedding band and again so many wonderful choices to look at, he found his band a nice thick titanium band. In the same visit my husband mentioned that I wanted an emerald, they found the highest quality emerald and then I found a beautiful setting for that, the jeweler helped to design the setting so that it could hold the emerald as I chose a setting I really liked but couldn't support the large emerald alone so he fabricated it to work, a beautiful setting when he was done. As we were about to walk out a beautiful and unique diamond bracelet caught my eye and I just had to try it on, Jeanette was awesome, she pulled it out and put it on my wrist and I fell in love with it, so I had to add that to my cache of jewelry. I left a very happy woman and the experience was so awesome. I have returned many times for cleanings and window shopping, the ladies always welcome me and even sent my husband the list of items I looked at and decided they should go on my wish list, so my sweetie can refer to that list when he decides to surprise me in the future. I cannot say enough how wonderful of an experience we had at The Ring. My then boyfriend and I were looking a several ring stores that day and were met with salespeople that prejudged us and showed little interest in showing us rings (we think this must have been because of our casual attire and ages). They would either heavily push payment plans and cheap rings, or give us no service or education on the process at all. Jeanette at The Ring treated us with respect and zero judgement. The layout of the store also allowed us to have a non-intrusive experience and really spend time looking at all of the rings. Jeanette took the time and attention to educate both of us on what to look for in a diamond, and even showed us alternative diamond options since I insisted (why not right?). We even shared with her another ring that I had loved for years and she helped me recognize why it would not be my ideal choice. The funny thing is, the ring that we bought was actually a dupe of a ring from a popular online jeweler (and more expensive at The Ring too!) - but we knew we had to purchase from The Ring because of the care and attention they showed to us. I want to give The Ring a billion star review!!!! My boyfriend and I came in last Friday on a whim just to look. We had no expectations of the place but when we walked in it was as if we were transported onto the lap of luxury and fine hospitality. Additionally, the actual merchandise is absolutely beautiful, the store is gorgeous, very classy and modern with great furniture and accents- and very well lit. We were greeted by two lovely sales women, offered a variety of drinks, asked about what we were looking for, and shown how the store was set up (by price range, not by designer, which was a new concept for me). With that, Robin kicked things off by handing me a shopping basket (a ring display box) where you can literally pull open the drawer and pick out the jewelry you like (they are the prototypes with cubic zircon in them, the ones that have "live diamonds" are of course locked up but they did not hesitate to open up the display. ironically, it was the engagement ring I ended up picking out and falling head over heels for. Next, you pick your center stone off of the wall display and they are beautiful. What I love about this store is that they offer both mined and lab-grown diamonds in most cuts. We were soon introduced to the owner, the wonderful Shannon, who, with enthusiasm, took her time to explain the differences in the diamonds while Robin taught us how to look into a diamond for clarity, etc. The entire experience was wonderful. Mind you, my boyfriend and I had just left the nail shop from getting pedicures and were in Friday fun day work clothes so we looked extra casual (more like bums) but were treated like royalty. Often, when you go into certain establishments, you are prejudged by your appearance and the service is subpar because they do not believe you are worth their time and effort. That was not the case here, Robin and Shannon gave us EXTRA attention, took time to get to know us personally, got our profiles, explained in depth, were not pushy sales people, allowed me to go in and out of the store with the real diamonds to see how it looked in the sun and offered excellent hospitality. When every other jeweler failed, The Ring by Gold Gals stepped up to the challenge and exceeded my expectations. I was searching for a perfect Ametrine stone to make into a custom ring to match my Ametrine necklace. An Ametrine is a naturally blended Amethyst & Citrine and it's very hard to find one with bold colors and a perfect line in the middle where the two colors meet. I have worked with jeweler after jeweler since 1999 and every company had either a low quality stone or insisted on adding settings around the stone that were too cluttered. My initial contact with The Ring by Gold Gals was made by a phone call to Sarah who seemed to know exactly what I was looking for- secretly she DID, but of course I was preparing for another let down. So I gave her photos via text of my necklace pendant and explained how vivid I would like the colors in the ring stone. She reassured me they could do it. I received text messages along with photos of two Ametrines they had on hand and knew that the second one was the exact size I was looking for, but needed to see the stone in person. I visited their beautiful store in downtown Round Rock and met Sarah who was thrilled to show me the stone. She also picked the perfect pedestal style gold band to set it in. How did she know that's the exact style band I wanted? It could NOT have been better! I immediately ordered everything and could no longer contain my excitement. My fiance and I visited here about 3 times before purchasing a ring, and we were adamant that we wanted a real diamond, not a lab grown. Lisa had helped us each time and had all of our preferances on a paper. I had finally picked out my setting and it was time to pick out the diamond. I had picked out 3 from the wall, and was told to take a seat and they'd be brought to me. Lisa brought them to me out of the cases (she previously brought the cases with her), and let us look at them. We confirmed multiple times that these were all real diamonds and not lab. We decided on a diamond and ordered the ring. The receipt stated "DIA-LA" but they confirmed it was not a lab diamond, so we believed them because we had no reason to think they would sell us something we were so adamant on. We also had nothing else to go on to make sure it wasnt lab, since they wouldn't show us the case the diamond came from. Come time to pick up the diamond ring, it was not the setting I had ordered, and the paper work I was given at pickup showed it was a lab diamond. I asked to speak to the owner, because this was not what I ordered and did not want to take it. The owner, Shan, told me it didn't matter what setting I thought I ordered, this ring in my hands was the product number on my receipt, and the diamond was put it so home of it was returnable (they put the diamond in prior to pickup) The photos online showed the ring I had picked out, and the papers I had written on showed that same item number, but the receipt was typed incorrectly. Why I didn't double check this after ordering it, I dont know. As far as the diamond, it too was a lab grown and the paper work was not incorrect. That, as well, was non returnable. So now I have a ring that has a lab grown diamond, as well as a setting very far from what I picked out when ordering. Why should I be stuck with a over $4,000 ring I hate, all because of their mistakes they refuse to accept as their own? Everyone I speak to I make sure to tell them to never step foot into this store. It was a costly mistake to trust a small company like this. read more

We came here to look for engagement rings because the reviews were wonderful and I liked that it was a smaller shop. However, our experience has been nothing short of awful with them. We picked out a beautiful ring and we were assured that they would be able to make a few modifications to the one we saw in store such as smaller prongs around the diamond and 4 point prongs instead of 6 points. However, when the ring arrived, it was not at all what was agreed upon at time of ordering. It also was 2 sizes too big. We had moved across the country after this and had to send the ring back across country for them to fix it. They sent us the ring back to the WRONG address as well as it not being fixed how they reassured us it would be this time and still too big. We had to resend it back yet again and at this point it had been gone for weeks. Granted when it arrived after multiple corrections it came out beautiful. Their wall of diamonds is also great and allows you to really see difference in diamonds. Additionally, all the cases are laid out by price. So you can ensure that all the rings you are looking at are in your price range!! Their ring selection is also the best I have seen (but maybe they just have a good ring selection for my style). Buying my fiancé's engagement ring from The Ring was a great experience in every single way. Stephanie spent quite a few hours looking through their large collection with us and we were able to systematically figure out what my then girlfriend liked (rose gold, halo etc) from the rings and she even colored in a couple rings rose gold to show what they would look like in the correct color. After we picked out most of what we wanted, you are able to mix and match colors and settings. We found this process to be great as well and my fiancé really has a ring that she is super excited about.
