First time and last time I'll ever walk into this trap. I asked how much to change the battery in a Movado Bold watch I bought at the Navy Exchange several years ago. The lady seemed put out as if I was asking her to wash my car. She asked to see the watch and when I handed it to her the trap was sprung. I had a new battery for the watch and wanted to see how to get the back off of a snap back and she said it shouldn't be an issue and she would ask. She literally walked 8 feet to a doorway and that's where she threw anchor for the next 18 minutes. It was probably longer and I figure about 3 or 4 minutes had passed before I took notice that she never even asked if I could watch how to get the back off so I started timing her. I let her know it had been over 15 minutes and I needed to go and she didn't even turn around and acknowledge me. Instead, she walked into the room and out of my sight. I asked another employee if she could just return my watch and this whole situation was weird. Snag my watch, never tell me what the cost is and then ignore any simple questions or requests. She went into the magical back room and I took account of the time and 7 minutes later the first rude lady came back and handed me back my battery and said it was the wrong battery. This is a lie. I have 3 Movado Bold watches. She digs up a chart that has all the CRAZY prices listed and tells me it will be $38 due to the cost of the battery and it being a luxury watch. I told her I paid $145 for it at the Navy Exchange at Pearl Harbor and they should raise the prices. It just so happened to be Veteran's Day and she asked if I'd served and I told her that I was in the Navy for 8 years. She thanked me for my service and said "that will be $38". I asked for my watch back and she said it was in pieces and I let her know I would love it in pieces and to please return my property and $38 for a battery is ludicrous for a $145 watch. She stuck to her crappy business model and said to fork over the money or the watch was staying there. As I was getting the extortion payment the other lady comes out and walks over and tells me a different lie. The battery had to come from them or the watch wouldn't be covered under warranty. I asked what all this warranty covered and she wasn't even ready to back up her lie. The rude lady chirps in and tells me it covers just the battery and I immediately shot back with "for how long?" She said she would have to ask. So I gave her 2 twenties and then after another 12 minutes they finally gave me back my watch. I asked again how long was the warranty and she said they would find out and I would have to comeback for the info. This review is in regard to a jewelry repair, poor business practice at Stall Jewelers and unacceptable customer service by Ms. Stall herself. I went to Stall jewelers to have a ring size adjusted with the addition of a ring guard placed inside the ring. However, Ms. Stall, the owner, TOLD ME that the jeweler would solder small gold balls inside of the band to adjust the size. Seeing that she is the professional, I agreed. The cost was $110.00. When I went in to pick up the ring, it was still enormous. Ms. Stall's answer was to add more gold to the inside of the ring (my initial request), and of course, to tack on at least another $100.00 plus dollars to my ticket. Considering the POOR decision to put the gold balls inside the ring was Ms. Stall's, she should have stepped up and remedied the situation and taken care of her first (and last) time customer by making things right. Instead, Ms. Stall was fine with me paying my bill and walking out with a ring that I could not wear. Do yourself a favor and work with QT jewelers in Round Rock. They have integrity and will always provide excellent customer service. Ms. Stall lacks integrity and obviously cares more about her bottom line than doing the right thing. read more

My wife recommended I go here after she took my watch in for a band repair and battery change, they cleaned her ring while she waited. I recently got a new watch and took it there for sizing the wristrap and dropped my wife's ring off to have the prongs worked on (she said her ring was snagging on things) They adjusted my watch in a few minutes and took the ring for a few days to build up the prongs. We have been extremely satisfied and very pleased each time we visit their store. No matter who helps us, they are all knowledgeable and professional. Last year we had taken a watch to another Jeweler in Georgetown and they told us it would be over $100 to repair the watch. I took it to Stall and they immediately inspected and repaired the watch. I had a small repair simple silver clasp on chain they told me it would be ready in a week I came back in mid-afternoon they looked at me like deer in headlights.They had not even begun the repair they put a solder on clasp that I provided no no no I said its supposed to be silver. I recently visited Stall Jewelers in Round Rock, TX because of an unfortunate gardening accident that claimed my solitaire. From the moment I walked in I KNEW this was my new jeweler and could throw all the other cards away from other jewelry stores I visited (plus online stores contacts). Norma was delightful and guided me to the perfect replacement ring. Insurance took a few weeks to pay and Norma didn't pressure me into down payments, etc. Her husband Eric did a fantastic job sizing my ring wrap to match my new ring. Epiphany kindly answered my calls with professionalism. I absolutely LOVE my new ring. Also, it appraised for much more than I paid (sorry Norma, lol ;). The insanity continues.... Just to be fair, I did not pay for the repairs to my watch, which they rubbed in my face over and over when I picked it up.... So I walk in and the first thing the elderly woman behind the counter says was "you're the man that wrote bad things about us on the internet." I advised that was true, and she immediately called me a liar, stating she never told me the watch was out of warranty, but that it was not covered. I explained that she indeed did say it was out of warranty, at which time the elderly gentleman behind the counter chimed in and called me a liar as well. I was confused for two reasons. 1. Why would the owners of a business choose to treat an already dissatisfied customer in this way? 2. Even if the elderly woman behind the counter was correct and she did say "it's not covered" and not that it was "way out of warranty", I pulled the warranty information directly from Justex and it specifically states "crown and stem" are covered for two years. Again, to be fair I used a colorful metaphor fist. After a prolonged he said she said exchange, the high school girl behind the counter chimed in and asked how many bad reviews I wrote on yelp the day I wrote my initial review of Stall Jewelers. Surprised, I admitted to writing one other review that day, which just happened to be the same day the transmission wet out on my brand new 72k Denali. And since she brought that up, I advised the people at that dealership treated me with respect throughout the entire ordeal and replaced the vehicle. At this point the high school girl behind the counter stated this was high school Bull S%$t and told me to leave. I offered to pay them for the repairs as I was simply tired of hearing about how I should be happy I did not have a bill. They magnanimously denied my offer. As I was leaving the elderly woman behind the counter commented on the curse word I had let slip earlier, when I advised the high school girl behind the counter had cursed at me, she actually said "no she didn't." Wow, what an awful experience. I went in a few minutes ago to see about an engagement ring. I was not greeted when I walked in. Their selection of engagement rings was very small. Finally an older lady asked me if she could help me. I said I was looking for an engagement ring. She pointed at the stand and walked away. When she came back she asked if I was looking for anything in particular. I said that I was interested in getting a pre-owned or lab engineered stone, but not a new stone. She laughed AT ME, and said "Think about it, all stones are pre-owned. They don't custom make the stones just for you." I bit my tongue at this obvious lack of both sensitivity and logic failure, and said that my goal was not to add to the diamond trade. As we all know, conflict diamonds slip into the trade and are not always caught. I did not get into the specifics as she is in the trade and would be well informed why anyone would ask for a pre-owned or lab engineered stone. Here is the clincher, she then said "So this is about price!" I said that it wasn't. She replied that it is "ALWAYS about price". I was pissed by this point. I said "Maybe for YOU every issue comes down to price, but for me this is about principle". She then started showing me pre-owned SETTINGS, completely missing the point I was making with my request. I told her it's not about the setting, it's about the stone that goes into it. I want to contribute to the future of the diamond trade, not the horrible past. Finally I asked her if I brought in my own stone could they custom set it? She said yes, and I left, confident that I would never be back. Judging and dismissing my principles, and assuming that I am low class or cheap for asking about a very common new product in the business? I think this employee needs a refresher on how to be a sales person and some sensitivity training. read more
