The layers of flavor in the gumbo is a "must try" for any gumbo fan. Served in a large empty bowl, but with a quail off to one side. The server pours the hot gumbo broth over the quail. Rice and goodness is the quail and all that is stuffed within. The soup is amazing, again the layers and depth of flavor. Bread might be nice, but would soften the punch of flavor of the broth. Super good stuff here. Not filling as a meal just fyi

So this spot is Real Real Chilled. Straight drinking is being done here. So No FOOD here folks! However, this spot is a Mood. Honey the Play List is A-1!!!! I'm a big R&B fan and so the playlist here I fell in love with...Very relaxed. A Spot that's so far during happy hour is chilled. No hyohy activity here. WARNING! The frozen margaritas are strong and if you catch the between 4-7pm you get them $5. There's good premium liquor selection.

This was highly recommended by a friend, and he was so right. The Revolution is fantastic. Great food, delectable cocktails, cool atmosphere and attentive staff. Consider the Expo Bar experience for a unique and worthwhile evening.

This restaurant is so nice. Atmosphere is great. Service is accommodating. Food is prepared well although it doesn't get to an art level

Jolie is a bar with its own ambiance whether you're there for dinner or drinks its vibey mood sets…read morethe tone. My friend had reservations for 7. We planned to have dinner here and was seated in a casual area with lower tables. While nice to sit for a casual drink was not up to par for parties who planned to dine in. Our first server we asked to move had declined our request. Stating there wasn't any room to accommodate. Which to be fair is fair when it's a Saturday night. However, we had made reservations and was astonished this wasn't an accommodation for a party they knew was coming in ahead of time. Thankfully, my friend went up to the host to request a table change, and was eventually accommodated with a booth. Booth can sit 6 people comfortably and 7 was a tad squish so they immediately offered an ottoman for someone to sit in the end. Food was delicious, most of us ordered the steak and frites.

Entering Jolie feels like stepping into a moody lounge with lots of flair! However, a few of our drinks took longer than expected to arrive, which temporarily paused the fun and conversation while we wondered where they were. That aside, the staff were all very pleasant. You'll find street parking and there were some parking garages within walking distance.

The vibes are immaculate, honestly. On other Nola visits I…read morehad already been to several of the other bars on this block so I wanted to try something new before an afternoon show at Preservation Hall across the street. (they have a sister business bar, but the internet told me they didn't open until 3 or after and the show I was attending was at 2:30...so The Apothecary it was!) It was super busy, I think there may have been a special or private brunch event. But bar seating was open. If you like absinthe, this is a place to try. They have a lot of cocktails based on that spirit. I saw other ones though, one with lavendar and one with gin and peaflower (I am a sucker for a color changing drank). I ended up going for the gin and peaflower one. And it tasted good but, it did have "spritz" in it's name and I expected it to be a bit lighter on the tongue and perhaps with a fizz. It will pack a punch, it is a sipper of a drink...it is almost all booze and has a thicker mouthfeel, if you will. The flavor is great, but I guess I just expected something a little different with the name of the drink. They do have food, but we had just had a brunch and didn't need much. But there was truffle popcorn that I opted to get as a snack in between boozy sips of my pretty purple cocktail. I enjoyed my visit here and would certainly recommend it if this is your vibe.
