This restaurant located in the State Park was a complete surprise. Tasty food and plenty of it! Hot chicken and waffles, fried catfish, beef brisket and I had a dinner salad with chicken. The service was very attentive. Even the chef came out to ask us how everything was. The ambiance inside was a bit cafeteria-esk but there was seating outside with lake views.

    Cheesecake with an amazing view

Sunday brunch, Nashville hot chicken and catfish were very good. The biscuits are severed with whipped butter and strawberry whipped butter and they are amazing! Our waitress Paige was the best! The view and service are great. This is a high quality restaurant with great views. Don't forget to save room for dessert.

Fried pickles were too done. Waitress kept disappearing. Chicken and waffles were just ok. Needed more syrup but never saw waitress.

They made us feel welcome from the moment we walked in and checked in just the right amount to make sure we had everything we needed. It's the kind of spot that makes you want to come back again and again. Great food, great service, and a relaxed atmosphere. Definitely one of the top burger spots in Dickson. Highly recommend!

I had a south side beef sandwich that is deceptive in its simplicity. Chopped grilled steak, Pepperoncinis and cheese nestled in a soft sub bun bursting with flavor. Fries that come with unique toppings, my option maple bacon fries forced me to clear the plate. Beware the chicken tenders too, 3 tenders occupied more than half the plate, few can handle a full order. Service too was good, fast and friendly and they covered our appetizer when it was accidentally delivered to the wrong table!

I could tell they have the catfish batter recipe correct by the smell, but it was another story when I tasted the fish. The aftertaste was better than the initial taste. If you like salty catfish, this is your place. Maybe I got a bad batch, but there was more salt than flavoring. I tried the salad next. You would think that fresh ingredients would equal a good salad. I was wrong. Maybe I got a bad batch, but it did not taste good. Maybe because the salad had a seasoning on top. I don't know, but I love salad but I could not finish this salad. I love the fact they made their own dressing in house.

We got a couple drinks (I forgot to take a picture) as well as a warmed cookie. Staff were friendly and personable! It was really nice in comparison all of the snow and ice we had just gotten. The only thing I'll note is that it has very limited seating and parking was not the best. Parking was kind of typical for the area, but there are maybe 8-10 spots and basically no standing/waiting area. Despite that, it's got some interesting spots right next door (I think one was a library/bookstore). I could see it being a little afternoon adventure.

Yellow Table has been open for just over a year in the Eastwood Village complex that seemingly overnight brought us a coworking space, cute plant shop, wine bar, book shop, etc, and Yellow Table really rounds it out as the lone spot in this area for breakfast, coffee, or lunch. The vibe is cozy neighborhood cafe, and the service is always welcoming and incredibly personable (I almost always see the owner herself serving up food to customers with a smile!) The food is what truly stands out to me about this spot. I fell in love with buckwheat crepes on a trip to France a few years ago but there are few places in Nashville serving decent crepes, let alone buckwheat ones. Yellow Table offers sweet and savory crepe options, all cooked perfectly lightly crispy and fresh with that incredible nutty buckwheat flavor, exactly how it should be done. My favorites have been the savory crepes, particularly the build your own with prosciutto, leek, spinach, and cheddar - a filling, tasty, and decently healthy option for $15. There's also coffee and tea, pastries, salads, soups (with bread from the amazing wine bar next door), and rotating specials each day. There's limited seating: a few two or three person tables and one shared table inside; in warmer months there are also a few small tables outside. But the WiFi is decent and I see a lot of folks coming here to do a bit of work while grabbing a bite. In just a year Yellow Table Cafe has already made itself an indelible East Nashville neighborhood gem. With the tastiest crepes to grace the Nashville dining scene, chill vibes, warm service, and reasonable prices, here's to hoping for many more wonderful years serving the community for this spot!
