Somehow my picture had fallen off the wall, cracked the glass and damaged the corners. The frame had remained intact, but had split in all 4 corners. Whilst serving other customers he continued to dismantle my frame. He said come back in 3 days and it will be ready. I did as directed and was pleased to find my painting and frame pristine! I rented a power snake hose for the day. The representative working insisted on giving me a hand to load this equipment into my car. In the process of assisting and shoving this very heavy piece of equipment into the car I get home to realize he had been scratching the machine up and down the panel directly behind the rear passenger door the entire time he was putting it in my car. scratched so deeply there are dents into my rear panel. I go to call and speak to someone about remediation and am told it is a Saturday, no one works there that can assist until maybe Monday or Tuesday... So I call back on Monday and get in touch with a store manager, whom I will leave anonymous out of respect for her simply doing what she is told to do. I am told plainly "there are signs that state we aren't responsible for damage done when loading your vehicle." A sign on a door, I did not see. A very important piece of information that was not called out to me by the representative who offered to help. Nor on any documentation I was given (which was none). Hundreds of dollars of damage to my vehicle by a representative who wasn't paying attention or didn't care enough to mention he was scraping a 130-pound machine against the side of my car. Roles reversed, I am paying full price to replace their machine had I damaged it in any way. There is no accountability within that store and no desire to mend a mistake their worker made. Do not utilize this rental facility. They do not care about you and as soon as they have your money nothing is their problem. I was told my information would be given to the owner, Ashlie H., with no guarantee I would ever hear back from her or the store to remedy this situation. They don't have a care in the world for their customer base. I spend thousands of dollars a year on home repair/upgrades, as do many locals in this area. There will not be another dollar spent at this store and I wish everyone the best of luck when utilizing this business. They do not care about you! **EDIT** Owner winded up calling me back and the inability to take any accountability is astonishing. An employee did hundreds of dollars of damages to a customer's car and every excuse in the book was thrown out. "we don't know if that damage was from the drive home" "we don't know if that damage was from you getting the machine out once you got home". I say that jokingly because my parents are long time customers of the Wild Bird Center and they have a plethora of bird feeders and often discuss the flock of native birds that visit them. Have you ever seen that Geico commercial where the old lady is telling her son over the phone about the squirrels in the attic while he's being chased by bad guys on a skyscraper rooftop? Yeah, its kinda like that with my parents telling me about their birds at the most importune time. Anyway, I've digressed, significantly. In search of some bird feeder related items for my parents I visited the Wild Bird Center in Park Plaza for the first time in December. I am so sorry I didn't visit sooner. This store is fantastic! As the name implies, they have plenty of quality bird feeders and a variety of bird seed that is appropriate for the local birds. I was in search of seed for my parents' Squirrel Buster bird feeder that would attract little cute birds and not make a mess. The staff was able to immediately point me to the best seed for that scenario. With my errand complete, I then enjoyed looking around the store at garden decor, hand painted ornaments, wind chimes, books, and such, I think I might even have seen some bees wax products. As far as the staff goes, they are delightful and helpful! I really enjoyed their welcoming and positive spirit and all of my interactions with them. I look forward to returning to the Wild Bird Center to do some more shopping.
