My wife and I have driven to this store on 4 occasions hoping to find some pieces for our home. Each time we arrived, they were closed. We tried different days of the week. Closed. We tried different times on those different days. Closed. We tried calling the number listed to see if they were going to be open today. No response. Keep in mind, every time that we went to Annapolis, the hope was to visit this store. We live 45 min away so that isn't a quick trip. What's frustrating is we really liked what we saw the first and ONLY time we were in there. I'm no businessman, but you gotta be open to stay open. Boop.

Side Street Framers are the BEST!…read more We have been going there for MANY years, but recently they blew us away by going the extra distance to ensure our satisfaction. We had a print framed (my Xmas gift to my wife) which was fairly large. When we got it on the wall it was apparent that we didn't allow for a wide enough mat. It just looked "small" on the wall. This Nancy Hammond deserved/demanded better. So back we went. Now there was advice given when we first had it done, but no one tried to talk us into anything. So in my book, WE were the ones to pay for a "do-over." This was going to be a costly thing just in materials alone. They would not let us, even a portion. Trust me, I tried several times. They simply wanted us to be satisfied. Now, my family owned a business, and I've worked in one form or another in customer service as I've been in sales my entire life, and I KNOW the value of and efforts needed to satisfy clients and build a following. This was over the top. Kudos and thanks!!! We can't recommend Side Street Framers highly enough!

I wanted to keep the frame, I liked its thick, modern design. I knew the full replacement would have been expensive. Somehow my picture had fallen off the wall, cracked the glass and damaged the corners. The frame had remained intact, but had split in all 4 corners. Whilst serving other customers he continued to dismantle my frame. He said come back in 3 days and it will be ready. I did as directed and was pleased to find my painting and frame pristine! The frame looked brand new! When I asked "what do I owe?" He replied "what do you want to pay?" Who does that? My final payment was nominal! I was very pleased with the outcome. Rick Sr. approached me and asked if I needed help, and after I explained my situation, he patiently walked me through what I would need and how to put it together. Then, possibly noticing the hesitation on my face, he said, "You know what? Give the girl at the front desk your number -- I'm just going to build it myself. She'll call you tomorrow." I was honestly stunned. I had forgotten this level of customer service still existed. Not only did Rick custom-build the trellis for me in a single day, but he charged me an incredibly fair price that didn't begin to reflect the time, care, and craftsmanship he put into it. This experience was such a powerful reminder of why shopping local matters. You can order supplies from Amazon, but you will never get this kind of personalized service, generosity, and genuine human kindness. Businesses like this are worth supporting.

Two people involved in counting and cashiering is a recipe for mistakes (whether accidental or deliberate). In our case, it cost us $5.35 more than it should have on a roughly $40 purchase, which we had no way of determining until we got home and audited the receipt (since they put all the loose beads in one bag mixed together). They failed to charge us for $1 of product, but simultaneously charged us too much per bead for one item (.25 instead of .20/ea.) and for too many of another kind of bead (8 instead of 2). There are other places to buy beads and we likely won't be going back.
