There were 3 of us that came here on a Saturday afternoon. We called the morning before we came and they recommended making a reservation because they were busy and we did. Standard lane pricing is $20/hour and $10 for each additional shooter for a total of $40 for 3 people. Only 2 people can be in the range at a time so we have to swap out to shoot with 3 people. They sell large targets for $1 onsite. They also have guns for rent and for sale. There's a parking lot with plenty of spots. Compared to other gun ranges I've been to in the past, this one disappointed me the most when I came with my friends. The people who worked the front were rude and impatient. We showed up a little late and they were unpleasant to interact with. I did not feel welcome as a customer. We tried to extend our time, but could not because we were told there were reservations for the other lanes. Strangely enough, the entire time... the other lanes were all empty and stayed empty! Shortly after we left (before closing time), we could see all the workers driving off. It almost seems like we weren't able to extend our time because they wanted to close early. The only good thing about this range was the range officer who monitored all the lanes. The facility itself is mediocre, would prefer Bear Arms any day over this place. read more

We bought a Liberty safe back in 2022 and had atrocious customer service due to THEIR error. Now the dial-lock is not opening the safe and again rude customer service. We were just calling for information, not for them to fix it. We were told to google the customer service for Liberty, they are not lock-smiths, very rude tone and very unhelpful. The fix was very easy. Do not sell products that YOU KNOW NOTHING about. It's so easy to be polite and why this establishment feels different is beyond me. Having never been here before and a little nervous about going in, the staff here made me feel at ease. I was upfront and honest that I wasn't really big into shooting and that this was my first time in a long time. They walked me through the rules and assured me that if I had any questions to just ask. I felt very comfortable with my experience and plan on coming back again for more target practice. I am looking forward to finding out what other services they offer. As they will tell you there, there are two main areas. One allows for rifles so if the loud shots make you nervous ask to go into the premium area. It's a few dollars more but worth it to be comfortable. read more

The people are incredibly rude. It's not even worth it to shoot here. They act like youre an inconvenience as soon as you walk in. The people working the front were efficient, the store looks nice, the pre-range rules employee was efficient and helpful, and the range attendant seemed to be friendly and there if you need them. They do have some interesting rules, but they are there for everyone's safety (and probably their insurance as well). I only used the basic range, but the advanced range looked really nice. The advanced range was packed on the day we were there, but the basic range was half full when we got in and empty when we left. Reservations are still recommended. Get there early (15 minutes) if it is your first time so that you don't eat into your range time filling out the requisite waivers and going over the rules. The prices are reasonable. There are cheaper ones out there and sometimes I wish they were a little more free with their open range stalls, but it is a business so I understand. In the end the price is reasonable and if you are really stuck for cash and need supplies Cabela's is pretty close. read more

Their prices on ammo may be higher but look to D.C. because of that, and are very welcoming to veterans especially. This was our last and final trip to the Range of Richfield. 3 of us came in, we wanted 3 lanes. Could not get that, we were given two. We paid $58 and change for these 2 lanes and 8 targets. We got put all on one tab which not only were we not asked about, we did not want. I asked the cashier questions, she rolled her eyes the entire time and replied with fluctuating amounts of attitude. Every single visit I've come into this shooting range, shes always there, I have never had a pleasant experience with this woman. She has got to be a wife or daughter of someone tied with the business. I have never once felt comfortable or welcomed at this establishment. So you pay $20 for 1 person on lane one and $20 for 1 person on lane 2. But there are 3 of us correct, so what happens now? Well they will charge you an extra $10 to be put on a lane with one of the two people. Makes sense. Do you get more additive time? No. That is what does not make sense. What am I paying $10 for? To cram two people in one lane to shoot slower and have less time? They literally take money for 0 service here at 'the Range'. Lets take a good range as a comparison 'Fletcher Arms' in Waukesha. its $15 per person for an hour. If you stick two people in one lane, you pay $30. But you get two hours for that one lane. Makes sense right? Well apparently it makes sense everywhere but here. We were eagle eyed the entire time, they took issue with us taking our guns and moving them from the back table to our line, came in to give us a talking to. I get it, some people don't know how to handle firearms, I'm not one of those people. But you have to treat everyone as a half wit here at the Range. There aren't any experienced and safe handlers of firearms here. Meanwhile lane to the left of me, a lady is shooting a 357 for the first time with incorrect grip, nobody came in to adjust her technique, apparently that is completely safe and fine. But because we were targeted by this one unpleasant employee, you better be damn right we were going to be eagle eyed and watched for the remainder of our time there. 55 minutes in, she tells someone to come in to tell us we have 5 minutes left. I look to my left, 2/3rds of the range is empty and not being used. It was clear they wanted us the fuck out of there. Never in my life of using other ranges have I been told 'your time is almost up' in an empty range. They are unprofessional and petty. I went outside to talk to someone else, they said they'll give us til 5 to finish up, which was around 20 minutes no problem. We finish shooting, we come out, like a spiteful banshee the woman once again says "well you went overtime, you must now pay $10 or $12" whatever it was. In an empty range. So to sum our experience up. $70 for 2 lanes, for 3 people for an hour and fifteen minutes, through teeth and claw on a chalk board. That is how you might be treated next time you come to the Range in Richfield. Besides their formula making no sense, this woman is an issue. Should not be an employee anywhere where you want to have returning customers. I'll make the longer trip out to other ranges to avoid her and her horrible service from now on. She has got to be tied to this business in someway. You do not roll your eyes and talk down to with short temper to customers who are asking you, why did you put us all on the same tab, we did not tell you to do that, nor did we want you to do that. They will not admit they are wrong. How does it make sense to pay 20/20 for 2 lanes then 10 extra to stick another person on a lane but have 0 time added? What kind of logic is that? I am paying for nothing. Don't try to buy ammo from them either, here is what happened from a previous experience. You want 20 rounds of 5.56? $13. I told them, I'll go down to Cabelas across the street to get some over there. They had the audacity to tell me you'd only save a couple of bucks. $7.49 pmc 55 grain 5.56 across the street. You want some 7.62? I think 20 rounds were being charged for $23. Anything you buy here, its like you're shooting a 44 magnum. Think about it, 5.56 one of the easiest to find and most produced rounds in the United States will cost you $19.50 per mag. You go to Cabelas I got a mag worth of ammo for $11.23. Here have these couple of bucks. Up your ass. Sum it up, bad service, horrible prices, bad attitude. Went to The Range of Richfield with my daughter for her first time shoot with a pistol, she only shot .22 cal rifle prior, since it is close to my home. I was pleasantly surprised with her whole experience. Ted, behind the counter, gave her some preliminary information on how to grip a pistol and other basic info on loading aiming, etc. Once in our lane, two range safety officers, Chris and Uncle (not mine) Rick as he is called, hovered behind to observe her first shots and then proceeded to give her hands on, one on one instruction regarding racking, loading, unloading, aiming, gun grip and shooting tips. This was all gratis! She was ecstatic and is very enthused about going further in her training. The whole experience got her going on the right track with firearm safety and usage. I have to agree with Yuli H., Dovy D. and Cassie M. I went in there a few weeks ago and there was a blonde lady that I asked for information (times and rates) then I went to the middle of the store and was looking at their rifles on the wall and I went partially behind the counter my mistake I probably should have checked first but this older lady with blonde hair yelled "Sir you can't you can't go back there" ok my mistake but since the whole store heard her and they all looked at me it was it just rubbed me the wrong way. All see had to do was ask me quietly. Yes she is a loud mouth and very rude after this I left and I do not plan on ever going back especially since there are about 5 other ranges in the area I go to and two of them have no problem with you going behind the counter to look their items one of them even lets you take items off the wall and hold them. I am in a group we go to ranges all over the area so they did not just loose one (me) but they lost three others when I told them what she did. There are 11 reviews on here and they have 4 bad ones (including mine) nice track record and I also see they did not contact any one of them to say "sorry about your bad experience" which tells you all you need to know about this place. All in all it is a shame she has a job here because it is a very nice and clean range and after looking at their classes I would love to of taken a few of them especially the MAG-20 but hey their loss. read more

Great range. Staff is very nice and conversational. This was my first time here so was run through their safety rules which are strict and necessary. Their RSO's actually patrol the shooting area which is awesome. They tell you the rules and they observe them. I've been to ranges where people are walking around with their guns, waving them around willy nilly and you will NOT find that here. Didn't get a chance to check out the shop while I was there but from what I could see it's pretty extensive. I'll definitely get a membership here. read more

I had a handgun sent there for a transfer. They called for me to come in and fill out paperwork. Guess who? The late 40's early 50's Blonde lady (owners wife, sister?) she needs work in the back office and never be allowed to walk the floor. What a rude and nasty person. I was very considerate as I always am in public. I was called the next day to pick up my gun and that my background check passed. This time a guy was there and while he was nicer than the Blonde woman, he was still stand offish and had no customer service skills. I live less than 10 miles from there but will travel to Fletchers instead because they do not have the Blonde lady there. I give 1 star only because 0 is not available. read more

I love this place! They have a large selection of firearms on hand and can order you just about anything. My wife and I have both purchased handguns from them. The prices are better then most places in the area, they also gave me a great price on my trade in. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a great place to shoot. Very welcoming environment when you walk in the door. Always greeted with a smile. The store is very nice, clean organized and competitive prices on hardware and accessories. The gun ranges are very clean and well maintained. The range is very well watched over by marshals who are very well trained. As new gun owner, I've been there with my son and asked that they help with some instruction for both of and they gladly helped with gun safety and ammo handling. They have also fixed a few old guns at a very reasonable price. I would highly recommend The Range for new and seasoned shooters. My wife and I are new to guns in general, so we wanted to educate ourselves before purchasing a pistol for home protection. We took the Basic Pistol course at The Range of Richfield. The teacher, Jeff Pharris, was great. He made the class fun and informative. He is an NRA certified instructor and is extremely knowledgeable and well-supplied. This the best indoor range in the state. Family owned and operated, which shows in the kind and friendly customer service. They also have a great amount of cool gear and clothes for sale along with the holsters and other shooting gear you would expect to see. The shooting lanes are well lit, have amazing ventilation (I didn't smell like gun powder when I left), and high tech lane screens for your targets with a ton of options. You know when you go to other indoor shooting ranges and you get / feel that "gun bro" effect, where the guys behind the counter are cocky about their guns and supposed knowledge...well, you don't get that feeling here, but equal or more knowledge on the firearms they have for sale and rent. read more

This is by far the best range I have ever been to. The atmosphere is cozy and safe. The staff is fantastic, friendly and helpful. They helped me pick a few CCW guns to rent so I could find the best one for me. They were even able to order the specific one I wanted which ended up being much cheaper than the 2 big gun shops near by and I was shooting it a few days later!!! read more

I have been to this range a few times before, and unfortunately last weeks visit will be my last. The range itself is an excellent facility, and the range officer is very helpful. The reason I won't be returning is because of the service received at the front desk. There are two ladies who work the desk, both of them do not seem to be very interested in making sure you have a good experience. Very rude every time I have been there, and it seems like they don't want you in the range at all. I will give a brief example: my father and I went into the range at 5pm on a weeknight. We were asked if we had reservations, which we did not. The woman at the front desk told us that because we didn't have a reservation, we could only have a range for 30 minutes. It didn't seem right, because there weren't many people in the range at that time. The woman had to take a phone call from a customer, and a younger woman had started to finish checking us in. Out of curiosity, and hoping we weren't being lied to, I asked if there were any reservations at 5:30. She said there were several open spots. When the original person helping us finished her phone call, I told her I'd like 1 lane for 30 minutes, and to also make a reservation for 1 lane at 5:30. She looked confused, so I explained that she didn't have reservations, and she should be able to give us 1 lane for an hour. Not pleased with how I went the "roundabout" way to get a lane for 1 hour, she checked us in. She was not pleasant to be around. Just a few days ago I went in to give it another shot, I went to the desk to be checked in, she asked if we had reservations. I said no, and asked if it would be a problem to get a lane for 1 hour. She looked at her reservation sheet to see if she had any spots open, crinkled up a sheet of paper which she said was a reservation that had cancelled, and that we were lucky because that was her last lane. We shot for 1 hour, and there were 3 people in the entire range shooting for that hour. She tried to make us feel good that we got a spot, but unfortunately lied about it. The lady at the front desk is very rude. Actually took me by surprised because I was just in shocked in the manner she treated us. Shouldn't be working in customer service with that attitude. I gave it 2 stars because the two safety officers were extremely nice and helpful. Gave us pointers and were very knowledgeable. If it wasn't for the front office lady I would've gave it a 5 star and maybe even consider returning. The first time I was there I was treated very curtly by the woman behind the counter. I figured it's because they didn't know me. The next couple of times were a lot better so I decided to join. The last few times I was treated very rudely, by the same woman behind the counter. Both times they were very busy. I don't know if I will renew my membership because the treatment with this woman (name withheld). But it seems if you go during a busy time (Friday or Saturday) your going to have a bad time....Or if she's behind the counter and had a bad day, you will have a bad day. Often hearing your ads on WISN radio I've wanted to visit The Range for some time. Living between Oshkosh and Neenah it is a little ways away. Having the opportunity recently my wife and I stopped in. As soon as entering you're welcomed by an attractive and well stocked store. Shooting related items and novelties as well as a nice selection of firearms are offered. We used one of the standard lanes for an hour. The range area is very clean, well ventilated and light. You're provided with more than ample space for your weapons, ammunition and ancillary items. Prior to shooting a few minutes were spent with us explaining the range rules. This was welcomed. We were shooting handguns but having the ability to shoot higher powered rifles is a bonus. Half hour rates are a good idea to me being at times that is enough. We will be interested in trying the premium lanes on another visit. The ammo was a little pricey but that seems to be the case at most ranges I've visited. They sure don't have the corner on that market. The range fees themselves seemed reasonable in comparison to others I've been to There was an area with coffee and cookies which was a real nice touch in my opinion. The staff was friendly. The gentleman who I'll call the range officer passed through the shooting area a couple times during our hour. He and I chatted while my wife was shooting, good guy, and a trap shooter to boot. Before leaving the owner came up to us and introduced himself and thanked us for stopping knowing we were not from the near area. My wife received some holster recommendations from a female employee. This was something most of the ranges don't offer, that female perspective. Will be looking forward visiting The Range again when time allows and we're in the Milwaukee area. Wish we were closer. I went shooting here for my first time at an indoor range. I was welcomed when I arrived, and liked that the safety rules were explained thoroughly. The rangemasters were pleasant and helpful, and really minded the brass. I was asked several times if I was having fun-and yes I was! The range is clean and well maintained. We had to wait about 20 minutes for an open spot on a rainy Saturday morning (but that was expected), but we didn't mind-we had some coffee and browsed the store. read more
