Golf at Golf Envy is totally done on high tech golf simulators. Providing a surprisingly good golf experience in a great, climate controlled environment. The round allows for playing with all clubs including unique fairway, rough and both fairway and green side bunker shots and putting! It allows you to experience playing courses like Royal St Andrew's and Pebble Beach, the course we played today. As mentioned, Golf Envy is a "Membership" golf experience with 24 hour access for members. They have weekly league play and tournament options available to members! There are 3 simulators here. What sets them apart is that they also have various hitting surfaces. Not just your typical mat, but simulated cuts of rough, fairway bunkers, and green side bunkers. The hitting surface also can move if you are playing a simulated course to angle potential hills. There is also putting involved here. The simulators can be anything from a choice of hundreds of real courses, to driving ranges, and more. Supposedly you can play up to 4 hours a day with memberships. Reserving bays for an hour at a time. This is a membership only place, but you can sign up online for a short free demo. The memberships are not cheap. They have month to month, 6 month, or yearly plans, but expect to pay a couple hundred a month for that. I am sure prices will change depending on how many members they have currently. But if you can afford it, it will be a fun place to play in a weather controlled environment.

It definitely rewards accurate shots and good course management. The views throughout the property are beautiful, and the course provides a nice escape from the surrounding city. Most areas were in solid condition, although a few spots could use some additional attention. The pace of play was also a little slower than I would have preferred. Also the walk to the range can be brutal Overall, the Babe is a fun and demanding course that will test every part of your game. I would recommend it to golfers looking for a challenging Southern California round, and I'd definitely play it again.

Well it's exaggerating a bit, but the condition of the greens and fairways were definitely as good as they could've been for a popular public course. We played the Ike course, though it was the easier one it was still pretty challenging; a lot of ups and downs in terms of terrain, but nonetheless fun. It was one of those one minute you want to give up golf and the next minute you're in love with it again type of situation.

What made my last visit so fascinating was the employee working at the driving range. I didn't know where I could buy a Tee for the mat, so I took the chance and asked the worker if I could buy one there. He said I'll bring one down for you on my way back down. I said thank you and deep down I was so grateful it was going to make my experience so much better. I am a woman who has been golfing since high school. I have never taken a lesson although I love the sport. I've only ever stuck to the driving range. It's my thing. Someone once told me no one is a professional out here unless you have a green blazer. lol I got the joke

It can get quite busy during peak hours and especially in the summer. There is also an area to practice short pitch shots and a sand trap. A bucket of balls cost a bit more than the average range but the shot tracer is well worth it. The 18 hole course is a bit better than your typical muni course. Greens aren't in the best shape but they are decent for the cost of the round. There is also a proshop with all you need and more to play a round. I highly recommend Alhambra Golf course!

My dear friend from work mentioned to me that there is a park in Glendora that has new pickleball courts. Thank you my friend! I did some googling and found Dawson Park Tennis Courts. I pass by this place all the time when driving on 210 Fwy. I didn't know these courts even existed. They seem so secluded from the main streets. There are 5 permanent tennis courts. It appears that they originally had 6 permanent tennis courts, but turned one of them into 4 permanent pickleball courts. I say they need another 4 permanent pickleball courts. Anyway, both tennis and pickleball courts are very nice. Very well maintained and clean. Lights come on around 6:00 PM. Plenty of free parking. There are court rules displayed so please do abide to them as applicable. If all the pickleball courts are taken and you have a portable pickleball net and line markers, you may be able to set up a pickleball court on one of the tennis courts. It's an option. Restrooms are in the teen and family center next to the courts. However, if they are closed, then walk across the street to Glen Oaks Golf & Learning Center. They have restrooms for use. We had an amazing time. Played about 3+ hours of non-stop pickleball. It was really really fun. I can't wait to return here to play more pickleball. Great place to be any time of the day!

All courts taken but we saw a couple playing pickleball on tennis courts. We asked kindly if we can play tennis since it is tennis courts. They agreed but said they were reserving this court for their friend. I'm like your friends aren't here so they left. While rallying in tennis some lady barges in claiming it's her court and that she was in her car. She said she owns the court and they're going to play pickleball. She was rude and told us to get out right away and not to mess with her. We tried to reason with her saying this is tennis courts and she's playing pickleball. My friend left to talk to park management while me and another buddy are standing on half of the court waiting. The lady and two other guys started playing pickleball telling us to leave, cursing at us, saying we're acting like a child and started saying racist remakes including her guy friend saying this isn't China several times. I couldn't believe what they said. We then realized we couldn't reason with her so we complained to park management. They said officially it is an honor system and who ever is there first gets the court. We were there first but the lady yelling claims she was in her car waiting for 30 mins. How am I supposed to know that?! Also, I asked about people playing non-tennis sports in tennis courts but they said whoever gets there first can do whatever they want with no time limit. They said they won't intervene and for us to call the police if our confrontation gets physical. The management was friendly and apologized to us but said there's nothing they can do. My friend tried to explain to the yelling lady that there are pickleball courts on the side and if they want to play, they should queue up like everyone else waiting. The entitlement is crazy. We talked to several other people who were watching and agreed this yelling lady is wrong. A few other Tennis players asked us to join them and another group said they were almost done playing. Soon after, another group playing tennis left so we took over that court. I feel like this yelling lady has done this before and gets away with it. Hopefully karma gets to her. Besides this incident, the courts seemed like they're all well maintained and clean with seating on one end. The nets are tight with clear boundaries. I definitely enjoy the courts since it closes late night at 11pm but hate the fact there are no rules and pretty much a free for all with an honor system. This is the first park that I have ever been that doesn't have any rules or restrictions to protect tennis courts and people who want to enjoy playing tennis. I don't plan to come back since there are other better courts with nicer people with good vibes. But if anyone who lives near by want to play tennis or pickleball late night, this spot would be great. Just be respectful of pickleball players as well as tennis players. It's really not that serious and we're all here to enjoy a rally.

Anyway, I found it right here at Pay & Play Racquetball in Glendora. It's a self-service facility. There is no membership. You pay by the hour to play. It accepts cash only. Just follow the instructions that are posted on the wall. What a cool concept! There are 5 courts available for use. They may be a bit dated, but still usable. They are open early in the morning until late at night. If you do plan to come here to play in the evening, please be aware of your surroundings as there is no one here watching this facility. Please note there are no restrooms for use. You'll have to go to the teen and family center for restrooms if they are open or walk over to the Glen Oaks Golf & Learning Center to use their restrooms.
