By far the best place in Kyle! Service is pretty good even when they were super busy! Good selection of beers here. Bartender Trevor is always really nice and the waitress we had when we got a table was also good and kept checking up on us often. They have had some awesome bands playing here that we have checked out. Havent tried the food yet but it smells tasty. Kyle needed a place like this. What's up guys. Just wanted to share this with you. We have tried your establishment a couple of times over the past year and have decided to NEVER visit your establishment again. We went a couple of times when you opened, got bad service, decided not to come back. Waited a couple of months, went back and unfortunately had a worse experience. It is unfortunate that for the incredible investment that is obvious you have made, that your employees and for that matter even the talent (specifically DJ 2DQ) you offer your visitors are subpar. Do not want to go into detail, it is not really needed but just to help you out and make this message one of constructive criticism. Your bartenders need to be taught to speak with respect and be courteous to your patrons and your DJ can not call a girl a "B***h" over the microphone and ramble on about how he was only being nice and apparently she blew him off and got mad (he may have been drunk). I asked the girl what had happened, she said that he was trying to grab her ass. Not a witness to any of this but just a DJ calling a customer a "B***h" over the mic is unacceptable and low. No one stopped him (your employees) from his unacceptable behavior. This just feeds to the culture of your company. read more

We held our daughter's baptism reception at The Railhouse this past weekend and are still receiving compliments on the amazing venue, customer service, and delicious food. Thanks to the entire staff for making our family event such a success and ensure our family and friends had a great experience. Tana - I cannot thank you enough for managing our event with such detail and care. Your customer service goes above and beyond. From the moment I met you, you made sure to keep me posted on updates, offered solutions to any question we had, treated our guests warmly, and didn't allow my husband or myself to worry about a thing. You even brought extra plates for the cake in case we forgot to bring any (even when that was our responsibility to bring). I appreciate all of it. You are an exceptional event manager. Luis - Hats off to the chef! From the tasting to serving our guests, everything was delicious!!! Our guests loved it all - the brisket, mac and cheese, coleslaw and potato salad. The wings during the tasting were amazing too and we made sure to let our guests know they had to go back to try them. Your help on estimating how much food was needed for our number of guests was perfect and appreciate you carving the brisket. It made all the difference! Thank you. I couldn't say enough nice things about this place. I went here with a college buddy and my 2 year old son in the early afternoon on a Saturday. Had a great bbq sandwich and cold lone star. Easy parking, nice staff and great food with awesome atmosphere. Haven't experienced the coffee bar yet but looking forward to it. So thankful for a place like this in Kyle. This place is awesome I love it so much whenever I would ask for something they would make it just how I like it. The managers are great as well as the security. The employees are polite and the live music is great! The kids have so much to do like volleyball, backyard games, Texas size beer-pong and much more. Good renovated venue and decent price on drinks. But the bbq trailer made us wait 10 min to tell us that they are low on everything and gave us impression they didn't want our business. We paid to attend the Extreme Midget Wrestling Event. We arrived early to get a table with general admission. People decided to stand in front of us and others who had a table. We decided along with a lot of other people around us to stand on the chairs. A security guard went up to the owner and lied to him and said that he had already told us to get off the chairs when he never gave us a warning or even exchanged any words with us. An owner looked at us and rudely told us to get off the chairs and my mom asked if we can get a refund because it was not right that we got here early to get a table and people are in the way and we cannot see. Another male owner by the name of John came up to my mom and began to raise his voice at her and tell her to get off his furniture and exchanged other words with her. My mom was simply asking a question because we were not happy about the accommodations. This same male owner continued to argue with my mom and talk over her when she was simply explaining to him what was going. John was very rude and unprofessional raising his voice to my mom. Might I add he had a beer in his hand who knows how many he had already had before this altercation. Also there was plenty of people still standing on their furniture around us that were not told anything. read more

We love coming to Railhouse for live music. We usually get great beverage service. I'd give this place 5 stars if it weren't for the food service. After 9 pm it seems like the BBQ food truck is practically out of everything. I almost want to give them two stars because of this. Literally every time we come it's shortly after 9 pm and they are always out of everything we want. We have had to get sausage wraps for the last four times we've come. We've realized that we just need eat before coming, which is a shame because bars make a lot of money on food service. read more

The staff are awesome. Dani is a fast paced take care of her customers kind of woman. She is always smiling and making you feel right at home. Peewee the owner of the food truck, him and his amazing crew have the best food in the south. No lie. If you never had an orgasm in your mouth then I recommend getting a beer and eating their food. Him and his crew go far and beyond what any cook/chef I have experienced. Plus you can will walk away with a smile or a laugh after talking with them while you wait. Bar looks nice and new -- and seems to be kept up well. We happened to be there on a live music Thursday and there was quite a crowd outside. There is seating outside on the covered porch and an outside patio/ pavilion area that had plenty of seating (including a short concrete wall around the perimeter of the outside area -- which is a great idea). There were quite a bit of spaces to sit that had shade (a plus on sunny days)! Additionally the pavilion area had spaces for activities (washers, cornhole etc), a few outdoor bars, a pet area and a sand volleyball court. They also have some food trucks(ish) out back that are made from repurposed shipping containers. The only one open when we were there was the BBQ one, however there must be a Mexican food trailer that is also open at times. (Note: If you want food you have to go out back to the food trucks/ shipping containers - no servers). read more

I wish i could give below one star but i can't. unfortunately, i paid money to come to an event that they hosted and was kicked out the moment i walked in because i was under 21. i was physically pushed out of the venue JUST because i was under 21. i was not drunk, not trying to get drinks or anything. i wanted to see who was performing and paid my own money and was kicked out and not allowed in. there are no rules on being under 21 or over 21. this was absolutely ridiculous and i don't recommend ever coming here. the way security treated me was absolutely disgusting and i would NEVER come here again. read more

This place is really cool inside and out. Lots of room and options for areas to hang out. Huge outside area and nice bar area. The decor is is amazing. The attention to design and architectural elements were well thought out. I went here for a music show and the sound was terrible and too loud, in my opinion. About 3/4 of the way through the show they managed to tweak the sound and the artist sounded much better. I did order sliders from one of the food trucks and the taste was excellent. Giving 3 stars because I had to pour out both margaritas I ordered...they were that bad. The second one I brought back and told the bartender it was undrinkable and ordered a wine. No apology and no offer to replace my drink order for free. I paid and tipped for 3 drinks...at least the wine was good. Took them a while to find a wine opener. Also, the layout is funky, until you figure out where everything is. I did some searching on the web and actually found an ad where they were for hiring bartenders, they actually made a point of saying they DID NOT TRAIN their bartenders..experienced only. Well I think it might be helpful for them to rethink this. If you're a bar, with a full bar of nice alcohol on display, the bartenders should know how to make mixed drinks. Probably the worst experience tonight. Ran out of beer and 30 minutes in line for a beer to be told there is only a limited amount of selection. Manager should be fired knowing it's 4th of July and people are off. Been here many times before without issues. Manager nowhere to be found. Let me start by saying the Layout(as said by many) is amazing...... the Decor, lighting, and look is A+. But, the food is terrible, not even to food truck standards. I ordered wings a d asked for the gold? Flavor and I got BBQ smoked wings with a tiny bit of flavor but the Smokey flavor and burnt flavor was so strong they could have givin me the HOT & I would not have known. Secondly you have to walk around the building outside to order your own food separately, huge inconvenience because the menu inside does not Jive with the one outside pasted to the window. Looks fun, Volleyball, trashcan something and kid friendly are all good. The Live music outside sounded horrible as well..... train horn blowing for half the set, not the singers fault but the sound engineer, wait there is none. Thats why. Wish and hope this place puts sum more work into the detail and drops the prices of draft beers, $5.50 for a pint in a plastic cup? At least a frosted Mug would be at least Better.....hope they get it together and step up there game. If not they will not make it. Also there is no clear Motorcycle parking. Which is not required but is a nice thing to have. So that everyone can park one way to make room for more biker friends. This would be Zero stars due to the horrible security staff. We stopped after picking up my husband at the airport and wanted to get something to eat and cold one before heading home. The security staff watched my husband and I walk in with our 13 yr old son. After we ordered food and a drink they came around the place asking everyone "Do you have a minor with you?" We said yes. So they told not asked " Y'all are out of here. O minors after 8:00". I said well it's 9:05 why now are y'all telling people with minors to leave now. Guy said I don't answer questions you need to pay your tab and leave. We will never go there again. The food was good we had to take it to go since we were kicked out after placing our order. The food truck apologized for the staff refunded our order and thanked us for coming. This is the ONLY REASON I GAVE ANY STARS. I've been to the Railhouse about a few times, and never have I ever been so mistreated until today (8/8/19).I kindly asked the bartender for water, as he pointed to the water container at the end of the bar without saying a word. He did so as if I'm supposed to be aware of this. Let me add that I hadn't even had a drop of alcohol, nor was I planning on ordering any during my time of visit. He chose to make a mockery out of me for ordering a water and proceeded to say that it was "the way that I asked for a water" which he did not like. Mind you, I was nothing short of using my manners when ordering. I too have worked in the service industry, and as the customer I would never treat anyone else with a lack of respect when at any food/bar establishment. As I walked over to the water at the end of the bar, he followed me while obnoxiously clapping his hands at me saying that I needed to open my eyes and look around for water. By this time he began to gather the attention of the entire bar. He became pretty aggressive as he stated that he'd pay for my waters, and that I needed to know how they run things around there. Not to mention, this bartender was ranting and rambling on to me as I tried to ignore him to begin with. Again, this occurred over me ordering a glass of water. His tone was condescending as he mentioned his educational credentials to me, as he was showing a terrible attitude. I guess we all can't have our masters degree and still be kind. I understand the frustrations you may have while in that environment, but the bartender's response to my request for water was blown way out of proportion. I even had a few customers approach me after showing their concerns over the situation. It was rude and quite embarrassing to say the least. I'm still in disbelief at how long I allowed this to continue without notifying a manager before leaving the bar. I'm sorry I was thirsty bartender!!! read more

I have never been sooo disappointed in all the times I've been to the Railhouse. Every time we go we got excellent service and food. We went to the Railhouse on a Sunday in June. We got there about 1 hour after they started brunch. We went to order food and they said "it was a slow brunch so we stopped serving brunch food" umm what?? We just got here and y'all just opened an hour ago. So okay we were annoyed. Went back inside and just ordered a drink. Then tonight we went up there for a Friday night dinner with family that are visiting from out of state. We talk sooo highly of the Railhouse so we wanted to show them what it was all about. We show up at 630 for dinner and go to order food. They are out of basically everything. It's a Friday night at dinner time and you have a radio station there and bands. Like what??? So we got 3 BLT sandwiches and the hay bale. Whenever we get the hay bale it is a big enough order for at least 4 people to pick at. Well when we got our order the hay bale was less then half the size we normally get, the bacon on the sandwiches were sooooo hard it wasn't even enjoyable. We packed everything up and just left. I really couldn't believe this happened. We go close to 2 times a week. And after these last two experiences I may not go back for some time. And the last thing that truly bothers me is, they post about how family friendly they are but they don't even have a changing station in their place. I literally have to go out to my car and change my child whenever I am there. I've been there so many times with so many kids of all ages. You would think they would put in a changing table for these parents that come to enjoy market days and bands and food etc. read more
