Found (bit) a small rock in my burrito and when I came back to tell them they did not believe me. I told them that I was not trying to get anything out of them, I was just telling them what happened. The overweight guy with a 7 hair mustache insisted I was lying but dude why would I make this up and not even ask for free food? Totally switched up on me and 1000% of the customer service was gone. Foolishly, a few weeks later, I went back. At the time my beef was just with the guy who made the burrito but when I ordered the woman taking my order told him "no rocas" as a joke. As if the Spanish word for rock isn't almost the exact same as the English word. It's not code if it's a globally known language. I've seen these people scream at people for parking in the lot to go to the convenience store and follow them yelling even after they apologized. So long story short unsanitary kitchen plus rude staff plus being in a literal parking lot leaves this "food" truck with 1 star. Wish I could do less. read more

I really enjoyed this place! It's pretty out of the way for me so I stopped by when I happened to be out in Springfield. Not much parking but it wasn't busy so it was fine. The wait was a bit long but it was worth it because the food was so good. The chicken tamales were good as was the chicken chimichanga. Quack Taco is everything we want in a taco truck - delicious, authentic, cheap and good, good, good. It's really so yummy and the people in the truck are really friendly. I came for the birria - traditionally goat but beef here that's stewed with nothing but chilis, water and salt. Sounds good enough, but this is synergy. I got the birria burrito, because I saw other Yelp reviews that raved about it. It was really good. The burrito was giant and could easily be shared with another person. The woman who took my order was very friendly, you are handed a pager so you can sit in your car and wait for your order. The only real downside is that there isn't any great seating around the truck, and it's just located in a parking lot next to a convenience store. But hey food trucks are great to pick up and go. My beans were a little too salty for my liking and rice was meh. I was really missing the richness from the broth and seasoning. My tacos were Huge great for the price. I visited this food truck for the very first time today. I ordered the queso birria tacos and one queso y rajas tamal and one chicken tamal to try along with a mongonada to drink. The food was amazing the tacos needed a little more flavor salt wise, but overall it was very filling full of beef and the tamales were amazing the rajas one very good and the chicken was spicy but delicious. Very large portions overall. The mangonada was delicious it needed a bit more chamoy but overall very refreshing. The service was what you would expect from a food truck - friendly and fast and the table outside of the truck was clean and neat. Overall a great place to go - a bit pricey but good none the less. read more

This little food truck in a nondescript parking lot is so very worth the trip! I have been seeing pics of the quesabirria with consome' and stopped in to give it a try. Family run, homemade tortillas (made on a wooden press when you order), amazing sauces, fresh flavors, and an unbelievable quesabirria all make this an amazing find. I ordered a cheese/jalapeno tamale, a taco al pastor, and a quesabirria with consome'. Tamale with had a perfectly smooth masa casing, with gooey melted cheese and a perfect amount of jalapeno - gonna go back to get a dozen ($20) for the freezer! Great flavor - and definitely one of the better tamales I've had in town. Quack Taco is currently the "home" of "Tamales Emerita" while they work on getting their other food truck up and running - all part of the same family. The taco al pastor was great - minced meat, onions, pineapple - fried crispy on a fresh tortilla topped with onions and cilantro. Large size for a street taco and a great price ($2.50). The quesabirria with consome' is what makes this place unique and amazing - homemade tortilla stuffed with birria (stewed shredded beef) and queso, fried lightly until golden brown on the outside, and served with a cup of absolutely spectacular consome' for dipping. At $10 was worried there would be enough with a single one (compared with $30 for ten) - but was really filling and thick with meat and cheese. The consome' was very complex - bay leaves, meat, chili, onions - after finishing the quesabirria it made a great finish to a superb lunch. Make the effort to get there - try the quesabirria with consome' and at least a tamale or ten!!! read more

OMG! Matt and I claim this as the best taco truck in town! Actually in Springfield. We had Al pastor, lengua, quesabirria, shrimp tacos with a side of consome! The father/owner came out to bring us our food and tell us their story, how he grew up with his grandparents recipes from Puerto Vallarta. Matt said it is the best lengua (beef tongue) he's ever had. Rich and crispy outside and just delicious. I love Al pastor (pork with pineapple) and shrimp tacos. The portions are huge and twice the amount of meat we get in Eugene.
