This place is on the dive bar side. It smells very heavily of smoke for some reason. Went around 6pm on a Tuesday and it was fairly empty but the folks there didn't make me want to stick around. Oddly seems like an unsafe parking spot w/ all the random folks wandering outside. I can see folks coming here for a drink and clearly a smoke, w/ a side of bar food. Been here about 10 times, figured I'd take a minute to say what a great hidden gem it is. Great happy hour, easy parking, and the food is bomb. Really good pizza by the slice and a killer burger. Lots of TVs for football. Been looked after by Adriana, Chrissy, and Christy, and they are all rad. Its easy to see how this place is winning over regulars. Was excited to go to a place right around the corner from my house. We were very disappointed! Was fast getting our first beer, then didn't see the waitress for 20 minutes to order food. There were only 3 customers in the whole place! Finally ordered our food and it was cold! How can the food possibly be cold when you have only 3 other customers and they were in the bar drinking!! I'm being generous giving 2 stars. But when it came time to pay she was there in an instant!! Will not be going back. Food had good flavor but was cold. Honestly don't understand all the great reviews. I ordered some food delivery through door dash. Food came quickly, but honestly it just wasn't very good. I ordered boneless Buffalo wings and Irish nachos. The boneless wings were just cut up chicken tenders. The Irish nachos were very buttery (way too much butter) covered in cheese and burnt bacon. So much butter and burnt bacon that it was off putting. I actually threw away half the food and honestly it gave me a stomach ache. Maybe it was the time of day, maybe the cook had a bad day, but honestly I probably won't go back or order food from them again. read more

I don't write a lot of reviews especially now since the pandemic but I had to go out of my way and say I was at the pub for a quick nightcap just now (outdoor seating and drinks to go fyi) and i have totally give the bartender (her name is Maddi I think) credit for an awesome job... She is there by herself with no help it seemed running back and forth between the bar and the outdoor seated customers being very friendly and outgoing and making sure everyone is happy.... Really stoked to see friendly bartenders at a time when most people are a little edgy and stressed.... The staff at the Pub is awesome! read more

Love the Tuesday special. Hamburgers with fry's for $5. Angus beef is the best. Nice ambience and wonderful staff make the meal with friends a great time. I'm not a beer drinker, but my brew loving friends enjoy the variety offered. We go at least once a month and meet up with great friends. We recommend this place to all. Went to the Pub tonight for Jersey style pizza. Had white pizza with added sausage. The pie had thin crust great taste very authentic. The sausage was excellent. I've been a long time customer before this establishment became The Pub, when it was Scarantino's. However, since the transformation to The Pub, the atmosphere has changed immensely. This of course is due to the amazing staff that really make this place what it is. Adrianna, Chrissy, and Neyaly are the best bartenders in South Orange County, hands down. And I must also mention Sammy, the exceptional chief that is typically preparing and perfecting the food here. The cohesiveness between the bartenders and the cook is absolutely exceptional. As I've said before, these individuals are clearly what makes this establishment and are also the reason why I keep coming back. I highly recommend coming here for a quick drink and a bite. Checked this place out recently. Not my vibe. Thought it was drab and dreary inside. Pizza was not hot when served, and way too cheesy, with minuscule amount of sauce. Got charged $11 for a glass of wine. I have eaten in some pretty trendy/attractive restaurants and that wine would have been $9 the most in these establishments.I wish the owner (very nice) well and much success with this recently opened establishment, but I think he needs to be more realistic about drink prices given the decor, atmosphere (parking lot), etc. I would also work on the pizza - lots of room for improvement...... Went here on Wednesday night--service was slow and terrible (dining room was empty); Chicago pizza had 18 lbs of cheese on it (you couldn't even see a crust underneath); I got charged $12!! for a pint of Big Daddy IPA; my husband's meatball sandwich was cold. Great specials!!! Monday spaghetti and meatballs, Tuesday is taco Tuesday ($1 tacos), And Wednesday is a massive cheeseburger/Hamburger and fries. On Sunday, they serve brunch with cheap Mimosas and bloody Marys to watch the football games! The place is clean comfortable and contrary to what one reviewer said about the air conditioning, the air is always on. He must've been there when it was down for one day. Excellent thin crust pizza, it doesn't have 1.5-2" of useless crust around the edge that I never eat, this is hard to find in OC. The slices are huge, like 2 slices in one. The wedge salad was really good and loaded with lots of bacon, etc, no skimping there either. read more

Wanting to try something new and get some good pizza my boyfriend and I decided to give this place a try. We walked in and found a seat in the bar area, our server came over and asked what we wanted to drink (without even having a menu yet) we ordered a pitcher of beer and said thank you.....not one smile or you got it......she just walked away. Then we ordered a Sicilian pizza still no smile or anything from our server. While we were waiting for our pizza the bartenders were eating behind the bar! Yes you heard me right! EATING BEHIND THE FREAKING BAR!!!!! Nasty and sooooooo not professional! Finally our pizza came out and it was just a regular pepperoni pizza. We decided not to complain and just eat it because it looked delish. We then asked for 2 sides of ranch. Again you guessed it......no smile and guess what.....no ranch was delivered! After getting through an entire slice of pizza my boyfriend went up to the bar to a different bartender and asked for ranch. When she brought it to us we asked if this was the Sicilian pizza and she said no regular pizza and so we told her it's not what we ordered but it was really good so we told her not to worry about it. That's why I gave 2 stars and not 1. That bartender was so nice and apologetic. Our non smiling server came back around eventually and got us a box for the rest of our pizza and I asked for the bill. She never came back around to get the bill and charge my card so the other really nice bartender did it for us. We originally wanted to come back and try the Sicilian pizza but after the rudeness and non smiling server/bartender we will not be going back. Pizza was yummy but service sucked big time! read more

Ihad the bacon cheese burger, came rare as ordered, on a bakery bun, not the supermarket variety. Side salad included very good. Others had pizzas, all good. The everything pizza was super it had everything but the kitchen sink. Maybe you ought to rename it the kitchen sink pizza?
