Megan and Jake are awesome bartenders! They're both super friendly, attentive, and always make sure you're taken care of. I'm also loving the remodel from the previous place. It looks so much cleaner, brighter, and more inviting. Andy, the owner manager, has been really welcoming every time I've been in. You can tell he genuinely cares about the customers and making the place a fun and comfortable spot to hang out. I mentioned to him once that they should get Skrewball, and he actually got it in right away, which I thought was really cool and shows that he listens to his customers. I'm loving the DJ on Sundays and the live bands on the weekends. The atmosphere has been great, and the prices are still really reasonable too! Great bartenders, welcoming management, good music, great prices, and a fresh new look. Wishing Andy and the whole team lots of success with the place. I'm excited to see it do well!

My friend and I stopped here after having to pivot from original plans, and I was really surprised and impressed. We sat at a high top; there were clearly mostly regulars there from the previous establishment, yet the bartender was very friendly and attentive. She was there immediately when our drinks were low to see if we wanted another round and also arrived quickly after providing menus to see if we were ready to order food. The beef and cheddar sandwich and garlic fries were both great. I see another review from actually the same day, and I don't know what beef he had, but it definitely wasn't my experience! I really appreciated that you could order a half sandwich of the beef and cheddar. It was still more than enough. Mac's reminds me of places I used to go in younger days. Whenever I try to relive that magic, I always regret it. But Mac's hit the sweet spot. A comfy, relaxed, semi-dark bar without the wet rag smell and sticky floors. Hidden gem!

Mac's Tavern in Mission Viejo is definitely a place worth checking out! From the atmosphere to the food and, most importantly, the people, it's a great local spot to kick back, have a good time, and feel welcomed. Andy, the owner, deserves a special shoutout. He's the kind of owner who genuinely cares about his customers and his business. You can tell he takes pride in creating a place where people feel comfortable and like part of the Mac's family. His personality and hospitality really make a difference. The staff is also fantastic -- friendly, attentive, and always doing their best to make sure everyone is having a great experience. You can tell there's a good team atmosphere, and that goes a long way when you're out enjoying yourself. It's great to see a locally owned place like Mac's Tavern becoming part of the Mission Viejo community. If you're looking for a laid-back spot with good people, a fun atmosphere, and excellent hospitality, I definitely recommend giving Mac's a try! Much respect to Andy and the entire Mac's Tavern team!

We stopped by at a tesla supercharger Nextdoor and decided to try this place. They made a boo boo with the wings but to my suprise the waiter and manager was quick to correct the issue. Exceptional service. The wings were very good. The lemon pepper was super crispy and the bbq chickens wings were soo good!! Mac and cheese also smelled milky and soo good. The waiter kept checking on us to make sure we were doing good. And so many tv for sports. I enjoyed eating here!! Two thumbs up;)

Here's the BUT (and it's a big one)... the wings. We tried them on two separate occasions, and they were terrible both times. The wings here have zero seasoning and were extremely dry despite being covered in an oily and bland but somehow still spicy sauce. They tasted like they may have been freezer burnt, then were also critically over cooked. Since "Wings" is literally in the restaurant name, I expected more. 3 stars is generous, and mainly because the staff are great. These wings alone would get 0 stars. I haven't tried other things here, but hope they're better than the wings. I won't be back to find out!

All the other people who work there are excellent--always friendly, personable, helpful, and hardworking. Nolan is the opposite, and there's never been a time that I or my friends or coworkers or family haven't gone into Tony's where we haven't either experienced or witnessed a negative interaction involving Nolan. Of course, Nolan turns on the charm when the owner, Joe, is around, but when he's gone? Nolan is rude, nasty, arrogant, and unprofessional to the customers and behaves as if he owns the place, with a major chip on his shoulder. These repeated experiences have made me start looking for another place to go when I want my football fix, and I'm not alone in this sentiment. There's one other thing I want to note, for those who are interested: My wife has said that on four separate occasions, the ladies who bus the tables have used the toilets and then walked out WITHOUT washing their hands, and then continue their jobs, which involve extensive touching of plates, utensils, and food. I hope the owner and managers will instruct ALL the bus-staff/servers to WASH their hands after using the toilet--just common, basic restaurant hygiene! I love Tony's too much to report it to the health department, but if these ladies continue to use the toilets for #1 and #2 (gross) and then walk out without washing their hands, I will have to. But then again, I prob won't be going to Tony's much if Nolan is working, so that will cut down on my exposure to the filthy feces-bacteria hands touching my cutlery.

Before I even get to what may genuinely be the greatest burger I've ever eaten, I have to start…read morewith Nevaeh. Somehow, Nevaeh managed to make three grown men eating burgers after rock climbing feel like we were being welcomed home after returning from a dangerous expedition. Every Wednesday, two of my childhood friends and I go rock climbing together. We've known each other forever, and our Wednesday routine has become sacred: climb until our fingers are destroyed, debate whether we got stronger or just found easier problems, then head to Eureka! for burgers and beers. And then there is Nevaeh. From the moment we sat down, her service was exceptional. She was warm, funny, attentive, and somehow appeared exactly when we needed something without interrupting three childhood friends catching up. The IPAs arrived cold and perfectly timed. And then came the burgers. After climbing for hours, you're operating on another level of hunger. Your forearms are cooked, your fingertips hurt, you've had that first sip of IPA, and you're discussing completely meaningless things with the seriousness of a United Nations summit. And then, in the distance... Nevaeh appears. Carrying the Double Smash Burgers. Time slows down. Conversation stops. Three men quietly turn their heads. She approaches carrying what can only be described as beautifully constructed monuments to beef. With the confidence of someone who understands exactly what she's bringing to the table, Nevaeh places the Double Smash Burger in front of me. At that moment, nothing else matters. I've been eating burgers since I was a child. Backyard burgers. Burgers after sports. Fast-food burgers. Steakhouse burgers. Gourmet burgers with ingredient lists requiring their own table of contents. I'm 41 years into my burger education. I thought I understood burgers. Then Nevaeh put this thing in front of me. The patties have those magnificent thin, smashed edges pressed against the griddle until they develop a deeply browned caramelized crust. The edges are crispy while the center remains incredibly juicy. Then comes the cheese, melted into every irregular crack, crevice, and crispy edge until the beef and cheese essentially become one glorious substance. The freshness and acidity of the toppings cut through the richness, the sauce brings everything together, and somehow the bun contains this entire operation without collapsing under the enormous responsibility assigned to it. Nothing dominates. Nothing is unnecessary. Every ingredient seems to understand that its sole purpose in life is to make the next ingredient taste better. Then you reach for the IPA. That first cold, bitter, hoppy sip after the burger is borderline transformative. The hops slice through the richness of the beef and cheese. The carbonation resets your palate. The bitterness contrasts perfectly against the salty, caramelized crust. Suddenly you're ready for another bite. Burger. IPA. Burger. IPA. Childhood friend says something. Nobody hears him. Burger. IPA. Nevaeh walks by and somehow already knows we're doing great. At this point I'm wondering whether she received specialized training in burger logistics because her timing was almost suspiciously perfect. Need another drink? She's there. Need something for the table? Already handled. Want to actually enjoy a conversation with friends without constantly being interrupted? She understands that too. That's what makes Nevaeh exceptional. Great service isn't hovering over a table every four minutes. It's anticipating what people need while allowing them to enjoy why they came in the first place. Nevaeh absolutely mastered that. Somewhere between the Double Smash Burger, my second IPA, and laughing with two guys I've known since childhood, I realized something. Burgers have quietly followed me through my entire life. Family barbecues as a kid. Burgers after sports. Burgers with friends as a teenager. Burgers after long days. And now, decades later, every Wednesday after climbing, it's still the same thing. Same food. Same childhood friends. We're just older now. And apparently we've finally found the final boss of burgers. The Eureka! Double Smash Burger. So I'm prepared to make an extremely irresponsible statement: This is the best burger I've ever eaten. Could climbing-induced starvation have influenced this conclusion? Possibly. Could two IPAs have strengthened my conviction? Almost certainly. But I have enough experience in burger consumption to stand behind my findings. The Double Smash Burger is phenomenal. The IPA pairing is perfection. But Nevaeh is what turns the whole thing into an experience. She doesn't just bring you a burger. She arrives carrying the burger. She presents the burger. She understands the gravity of the burger. The end.
