I don't normally write reviews like this, but this place absolutely earned it. I'm the best man in a wedding and was helping the bride with some last-minute details after rehearsal. At about 12:30 PM I overheard the bride talking about how she had just received the design for the seating arrangements that day... for the wedding happening tomorrow morning. Naturally, as the best man, I volunteered to get them printed. I started calling print shops nearby and after a couple dead ends, my third call connected me with The Printing Train. From the moment they answered the phone, they were incredibly positive and helpful. Since the request was a bit unusual and very last minute, they actually walked me through the order while we were still on the phone to make sure everything could get processed in time. They told me they could have it done by the end of the day, which already felt like a miracle. I showed up a little close to closing to pick up the prints and realized the final product wasn't exactly to the specifications the bride had asked for. Honestly, I take responsibility for that because I probably didn't communicate everything clearly while I was in full stress mode. Here's where they truly went above and beyond. Instead of turning me away or telling me it was too late, they immediately offered to reprint everything on the spot and make sure it was done correctly. No hesitation. Just kindness and problem solving. In a moment where I was completely stressed trying to help make someone's wedding day perfect, their help genuinely restored my faith in humanity. After using my organization's outdated business cards and design, I contacted Beckah Jackman at the Printing Train to revamp my cards (still using original logo) and she did a phenomenal job! She added very modern touches and was extremely quick getting the product delivered. She took the time to e-mail back and forth until I was 100% satisfied with the color scheme, lay-out, font etc. The changes were made almost immediately, and her suggestions for design were right on. I have dealt with printers before who don't answer your e-mails, refuse to go the extra mile to get you just what you're looking for, complain about corrections and having to resend proofs over and over, charge for every little change you make to your product and act annoyed when you keep asking where your stuff is. Trust me when I say working with this company was a breath of fresh air. Recently, I even received a phone call from a client in regard to my business card and how it compelled him to work with our company. FYI, the cards had a cool word design on the back that included words such as; building bridges, community, education etc. In one look the clients are able to view our mission statement and our entire purpose in our industry. I am now trying to work a deal with our global headquarters for Beckah to design all of our promotional material from here on out!!! After thoroughly searching and getting quotes from half a dozen print shops around the OC area, I ended up choosing The Printing Train (TPT). For some reason as I spoke with Ted on the phone I got the sense of genuine care for his customers. He was straight forward with information about the process and explained paper stock to me in detail. He was honest and not just trying to score a job from me. He wasn't the cheapest quote for the job I needed done but he did price match for the quantity I needed which was awesome. He also didn't have a problem with printing out a single copy for me to review before going in with the full print and thankfully he did because I had to make adjustments on the graphics. Didnt end up getting any service done here after all. I spoke to someone over the phone about getting my daughters invites printed. The guy was very nice and asked me to email the invite and stop by in a few days, and a proof would be printed out. Well I went the day he told me, and it wasn't printed. The guy came out and said "oh ya I saw the email but it said card stock." Apparently he didn't know what kind of card stock .... I told him "um ok , what do you recommend... what does everyone else get usually?" He still couldn't even give me a recommendation. Another guy had to tell him to just use 100 lb paper. He printed the proof quickly and handed it over and didn't say anything else and I said thanks. He then walks away like I didn't have any other questions or anything. Just disappointed with the service and lack of recommendation when I went in. I thought it was a print shop.... don't you know more about what I may need or tell me what kind of paper is usually used? It was awkward. read more
