Anytime you have to get any waxing done it can be a little scary. Hot wax on your skin- frightening. I went to Pretty Kitty because my friend recommended it. She was right. The staff is professional, fast, nice, and do a great job! I was in and out in minutes. I'd recommend coming here if you want a great place to get a bikini wax. read more

I absolutely LOVE this place !! No one loves getting hair ripped out (especially in the down town area) but this place is the BEST ! The decor is super cute, the staff is extremely friendly and everyone is completely professional especially when it's your first time and you are super nervous. I've been to other places but the soft wax is where it's at !! Rylee is my absolute favorite, she always remembers me and our previous conversations (6 weeks apart). LOVE this place. They are super easy to schedule with and I just go with whoever is available and have always had the same amazing treatment. They keep you super comfortable and know their stuff! The best part is you are in and out in 10-15 minutes(Brazilian). I have NEVER come across any place better. Rip rip rip done. Not super painful, they have techniques to help your sting, and they are just fast and easy. I LOVE this place. Super sad I moved away and there's no Pretty Kitty! Getting Brazilian wax done is very uncomfortable, embarrassing and painful to me. I wish I could be like some of the girls that feel fun and comfortable and enjoy getting Brazilian wax done (seriously?) but I don't think I can ever be like that. My first Brazilian wax was 8 years ago, and the lady that waxed me said "After you get this done a couple of times, you'll get so used to it and it's not gonna be painful at all.". BULL!! Yes, it's not as painful as the first time but I'm still not used to it. (One of my friends told me "Then don't go, just shave or grow." But NO. No way. Maybe a laser one day...) I've been coming here for two or three years now. Every time, the girls here try very hard for me to make me feel as comfortable as possible. They talk about stuff to take my mind off and they try everything to make it less painful. They always do it as quick as possible but I never got any sloppy wax job done by any of the girls here. Always perfect, not even one hair left. I'm always in and out in less than 10 or 15 min. That's what makes me come back here. Just 10 minutes of embarrassment and discomfort and pain every 2 months. Not bad. I came here about 10 times and I realized they always have new girls working here. I don't know if they rotate girls since they have other locations but I never get to have same girl do my waxing... Maybe once or twice I got the same girl... So I had never had any professional waxing done and during quarantine I bought a kit to try a Brazilian.. let's just say it did not go well. That being said, when salons opened back up I really wanted to try it out and for my anniversary I did! Shaugnessy was honestly the best. She makes you feel comfortable and goes beyond small talk. So far i've been to her twice and already my second time, the pain is less and the time is soooo fast. She's quick and easy. I've already made my third appointment for six weeks out. I had a bad experience many years ago getting waxed and I was hesitant to try it again because it was so darn painful. Let me tell you coming to the pretty kitty changed all that. The customer service at Pretty Kitty and with Shaunassy is so good that I feel lucky to have found them. They are fast , clean, and make it anything but Awkward. AMAZING CUSTOMER SERVICE A week ago I showed up for a 10am appointment. I wasn't on calendar and the staff called to all locations to check where I might have been on the books. It turns out I was on none of the books, but they got me right in 15minutes later, and with a smile. I don't think I should add a photo, but take my word for it, esthetician Kirsty G does a great job. She is super sweet and professional. The facility is clean and conditions are sanitary. No issues with scheduling and they run on time. It's not pain-free, but it's not too bad and it goes quick. I loved the result and will continue to come back to the Pretty Kitty! read more

I experienced my very first Brazilian wax today with Shaughnessy! She was absolutely amazing. I was so nervous and imagined that this process would be incredibly painful, but it was the exact opposite. She made me feel so relaxed and warned me when she was about to wax a painful spot and it wasn't painful, at all! She was quick and thorough and incredibly nice. This place is so adorable. I love the decor and everything was VERY clean! The staff was super friendly both over the phone and in person! Getting a Brazilian can be a bit scary since you're showing you lady parts to a complete stranger and this was my first time trying this place. The person that helped me was Ana. She was great. She made me feel comfortable and very relaxed. I loved her attitude and her spirit. My Brazilian came out flawless and she was very quick while doing it. I saw Alix and let me tell you... pure magic! I was so scared from my last Brazilian a year ago at another shop but Alix quickly eased my fears. She worked quickly, had great conversation, and above all, she was so gentle! I didn't think getting hair ripped out could be gentle?? Alix is AMAZING!!! I have since been back, and had a wonderful experience. As always the receptionist and esthetician Shaughnessy were extremely friendly and welcoming. The lobby is now open (it was closed due to Covid), which is convenient. No patches were left. I am extremely satisfied and will continue to be a customer for the foreseeable future. All the stuffs are very nice and friendly. The moment you walk in you felt welcome automatically. They do go through procedures and cautions, paperwork for you to go through to make sure you understand. They do ask just to make sure your not allergic to anything or have skin sensitivity. When your in the room everything is neatly laid out and clean. Your waxer lady will have a little conversation with you. So you can feel relax and not so nervous if it is your first time. At the end when you pay, they do go over with you procedures to exfoliate your skin. So you won't have some much an issue with in growth hair or other skin irritation. But overall everybody's very professional! read more

This was my first time visiting Pretty Kitty in Henderson and it will not be my last! The salon is located in a convenient location, near the highway. The place is quite clean and nicely decorated. My esthetician, Shaughnessy, was excellent! She was friendly, personable and very professional. This was the first wax that didn't hurt! She gave me great advice on how to prevent in grown hairs and she made my experience overall pleasant. I highly recommend her! read more

Did a walk-in a while ago since I wanted to try this place out. Front staff was able to find a tech who's available. I just wanted to get my brows shaped/done. Went in to a room. Tech asked me how I wanted my brows, told her a clean-up and thin it a bit. She did my brows like she needed to go to the bathroom ASAP. Not sure why she asked me how I wanted my brows done when she didn't follow a single one I mentioned? Def my first and last! So disappointed read more

I'm going to start out this review by saying...... If you are scared to get a Brazilian bikini wax, JUST DO IT! It's really not that bad, avoid caffeine like they tell you, and take a couple Advil 45 minutes before you go in. Trust me, it really helps! I called and made a same day appointment with Courtney. Upon arriving I checked in with her, filled out a little card, and she showed me to the room. The entire business is super CLEAN- it made me feel good knowing everything she used was sterile and ready just for me. You're asked to dress from the waist down, and there are wipes to freshen up if you need to. Courtney was seriously awesome, she made me feel so comfortable in what could have been a very uncomfortable situation, she talked me through the process, and made sure i was feeling okay throughout my entire time there, which ended up being about 20 minutes. My experience went so well I actually scheduled my second appointment before leaving... I ended up making my appointment with Courtney again seeing how comfortable I was with her the first time. read more

The ladies who work at Pretty Kitty are usually professional and friendly I had Jeanne she was kind of off putting a little bit she does not introduce herself by her name and when I asked her she said I didn't need to know that I should only care about my services. I agree with the other reviewer she comes across as abrasive and kind of rude but the more she talked to me while I was getting my service she was much better. Not sure if I would use her again I will for sure ask who I'm assigned to next time. read more

Embarrassed to say as a long time client I'm just getting to my review. I absolutely love everyone! My crazy work schedule usually doesn't allow me to schedule appointments out to far and they are always so accommodating with same day or next day appointments. Hands down they have the best and softest wax. I get everything from bikini,under arms, legs and eyebrows and always leave silky smooth and happy. read more

However, my main concern was with the tinting process. I was told the tint would be left on for about 10 minutes, but it ended up being closer to 30 minutes without any heads up or explanation. During that time, my eyebrows became extremely itchy, which made me uncomfortable. I'm not sure if it was a reaction or due to the tint being left on longer than expected, but it definitely didn't feel right. Everything turned out fine visually, but better communication -- especially when something changes during the service -- would have made a big difference in the overall experience.
