2 minutes ago Dropped off a FedEx package and got a dropoff receipt. The tracking on the FedEx website shows the package never got scanned, so there is no evidence it entered their possession. I stopped into The Postal Shoppe and asked if they could look for it. The guy was rude and unhelpful, simply insisting it was picked up and not their problem. I talked to FedEx as well, and even though they couldn't do anything for me, at least they weren't rude. Lesson learned: always drop off directly with the carrier. They scan it right then and there, and then the tracking shows they took possession. This package was for a Samsung trade-in, and I'm out $150. Never going there again. read more

I received a package from UPS that was sent to the wrong address. I drove over to the Postal Shoppe to give it back and let them know. I went in and told the guy on shift, and he said that I would have to pay $25 for shipping if I wanted to return the package that wasn't even mine. It's terrible service to make someone who isn't even at fault pay for your mistake. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. read more

We asked for 80 color copies of a map for our daughters wedding at the Perryville Postal Shoppe location. The color was so horrible on the copies they were not even legible. We asked if they could be redone and the manager told us we would have to pay even more for the copies to be redone. She would not refund our money and would not provide the service that we paid for. Do not waste your hard earned money here. Edit: Rating was changed from a 1 star to a 4 because the owner did redo the copies and made this right but the "manager" was still just as condescending as she was the first time we were there. I'm extremely grateful to the owner but still left off one star for the hassle and the manager's attitude problem. read more

My visit here was so pleasant and the staff was so nice!!! I absolutely dread going to USPS especially during the holidays because there is always a line and the staff is always rude and never helpful! After finding this gem, I will never go to another postal shoppe ever! The lady that helped me was so sweet and went above and beyond and even helped me package my box! I told her that my box was too big and I had fragile items in there that I didn't want broken, so she cut the box to make it more compact and even added stuff in the box so that it wouldn't break. At usps, you would of had to pay to even use their packaging tape! I love that this place shows you all of your options to ship through whether it was fedex, ups, or usps and the price differences. And on top of it all, I didn't have to wait longer than 5 minutes, I was in and out of there in no time!!! read more

Great Postal Shoppe conveniently located near Cherry Ville mall/ S Perryville. Family operated, friendly, and overall great pricing and timeliness. They sent me several care packages while deployed to Afghanistan in 2013 and I was able to walk in and thank them in person while shipping some documents for our home sale. read more

They are friendly and helpful. The parking lot and the store itself can get fairly busy, and processing the shipment or copies is a little slow. It's worth it for the personal service, in my opinion. I did get a signature stamp made,and the first result was obviously unusable. They should have rejected it as soon as it came in, and reordered it without waiting for me to come in first. They knew it was wrong as soon as they showed it to me. It led to an unnecessary trip and longer wait for the corrected item. read more

The worst service I have ever received from a Rockford Business and that is saying a lot. I have lived in Rockford for 65 years and have never written a bad review before but felt I had to - to let others know to stay away from these horrible people. I sent a small dresser to Florida and was directed to go to Tony since he was the expert. He promised me that the dresser would be delivered on September 5th or 6th and that we would be called a day before delivery to know when to be there at the arrival time. He even talked me into paying more money for a "supposed" better service to make sure my dresser arrived on time and in good condition. My daughter (not the number we gave them) was called 20 minutes before the truck arrived at my new home and of course we were not home since they did not give us enough time and called the incorrect number. My daughter called and informed Tony and the owner and all we got was a few apologies and multiple excuses why they were not meeting their obligation. They badgered my daughter with multiple phone calls about all the problems and did not take care of the issue of getting the dresser to the proper destination until 11 days after the original delivery date. It finally arrived and the bottom drawer handles were broken - obviously done during packing it and when I emailed them for the insurance or for reimbursement since they did the worst job ever - I received an email saying I might get back around $20 and when I responded this was unacceptable and I expected a full refund and would be letting everyone I know How I was treated - they never responded to my request for the insurance or reimbursement. First, I'd like to say that whenever the Australian guy is working, this place deserves five stars. He's made every experience I had there so fun that I went out of my way to go there when I could have gone somewhere closer. I stopped in last week to drop off a UPS package, which was simple enough since you just leave the package and go. The place was pretty empty (only two employees and two customers including myself, and sadly no sight of my favorite employee). I had the package which was still taped shut, and the printed off return label, but I didn't have any tape to apply it to the package. I apologized that I didn't have any tape and told him that I hoped that was okay. He proceeded to lecture me like a naughty child. "I can tell you where to get tape..." Well, I didn't have any at home and only had 30 cents to my name at the time, but that wasn't any of his business. "Next time, make sure your package is ready to go instead of wasting our time and resources." The time he took to lecture me was twice as long as it took him to slap the return label on the package and take it, which is the only reason this review is not a one-star. Should I have had tape? Yes. Should I have been treated like I had walked in and slapped him? No. I've been working in customer service long enough to know that it's better to politely refuse service than to rudely give service. I won't be going out of my way to go here again, with or without tape, unless I know the decent employee is working. read more

The guy really cares about his customers!! My (now) husband and I needed a BUNCH of help with our centerpieces and he gave us great tips and helped us decide what route was best! He ended up resizing the photos and printing them on cardstock paper PLUS much to our surprise he cut them for us! The pricing was more than agreeable!
