The building used to be an old neighborhood cinema, but now it's home to this mailbox center that's finally having its glow-up moment. And let me tell you: the new team is a massive upgrade. The two guys running it now? Friendly, accommodating, and actually happy to help. A total 180 from the previous workers, who... well, let's just say customer service was not their strong suit. I honestly avoided this place before, but now it feels completely different--in a good way. I drop off all my FedEx and UPS packages here, and I pick up my boxes from Amazon, UPS, and FedEx at this location too. Super convenient, no stress. I also got my passport photos taken here, and they did an excellent job with those as well. They offer PO boxes, mailboxes, notary services, passport photos, fingerprinting, and just an overall smooth experience. If you need mailing or document services in Sherman Oaks, this is officially a yes from me.

It's very small inside, but they have plenty of people to help you out, kiosk and a few easy items for sale, like packing tape (priced higher), envelopes, boxes and the mailing service essentials. I hoped in line with only one person in front of me, two people at the registers handling their shipping needs and only waited maybe five minutes or so. I had my QR/barcode ready on my phone and package resealed (plenty of packing tape at home). The UPS Store Clerk printed my label and placed it on top. She gave me a receipt and I was done in under ten minutes total. The line did grow a bit behind me [Sunday was pretty busy]. They are open all seven days of a full week 9 AM to 7 PM [Monday through Friday], only until 5PM Saturdays and shortened hours of 10 AM to 3 PM on Sundays. There's parking in the back just down the alley off Woodman Avenue (you can also enter from here). Street parking directly on Ventura Blvd [meter only]. Super easy location. Super good service. And super powerful ac/heater (so if you run cold, you're be extra cozy, unfortunately I run hot lol).

But I signed up with Federal Mailbox about a year after their move to the current location on Van Nuys Blvd near Burbank Blvd and was very pleased with their service from the very start. And when new management took over in June 2022, things got even better. Isaac Garcia (the new owner) is a really friendly guy and his employees (currently Jack) who are there most of the time are not only friendly but always helpful. Package notifications are prompt and efficient. One problem and minus one star because they advertise---on their website and on their window at the location---that they have notary public service. But they don't. They sent me elsewhere.

I dropped off a package here last month and it has still not been scanned by UPS. The woman claimed…read morethat she gave it to the UPS driver. The package is worth over $400. I opened a claim, but since it was never scanned by UPS, they can't give me any insurance money. I called her to ask if she had any proof or record of receipt or drop off, she said no, she doesn't. I don't understand how she doesn't scan the packages like any other mailing store that accepts multiple carriers. I asked her if she can please look back and give me more information, she was so rude. She said "what do you want me to do about it? Go talk to UPS". The last time I saw my package was in the possession of her shop. I told her she was being rude and that I would like to leave a review about my experience, she said go ahead I don't care.
