I've been eating here fairly regularly since they opened in July and have been consistently pleased with the food. They manage to achieve a lot of variety with a pretty simple menu. Beside the BBQ sandwiches (and a house made black bean burger) on rolls from the local bakery they serve rice and bean bowls (including veggie options) a variety of $1-$2 sides, huge appetizers and a daily soup. Saturday is rib night, and you can add meat to things like the nachos (my personal favorite). A lot of local art, occasional live music, trivia night on Wed. and being the only restaurant in town with a large selection of microbrews makes this one of the few places you can spend an entire evening with friends. read more

My sweetie and I really enjoyed our meal. She had the beef brisket sandwich, which was nice and moist and smoky flavored, and I had their red beans, rice, and sausage, which was equally delicious. We both had the cilantro cole slaw, which was unique and enjoyable. I like that their bread products are from our local independent bakery. We ate outside and enjoyed the live piano music. We will definitely come back, and recommend The Pork Peddler to our friends! read more

Yum yum. I went there for lunch had a pulled pork sandwich which came on a yummy fresh local bakery made roll and sauce on the side. I ordered sides of coleslaw and cornbread. The cornbread was nice and moist. Everything had a touch of a unique flavor, not just your everyday stuff. Prices very reasonable. I am definitely coming back to try the Mac and cheese and sweet potatoe fries. read more
