Considering its in the middle of a busy city and literally right next to a highway, this is a…read morepretty peaceful little "beach." A bit of sand, a splashy river, a couple baby trees providing a liiiittle bit of shade, a hot dog stand a short trot away, plenty of room for picnics... It's a tiny piece of the great outdoors -- and you can see Starbucks across the street. This space was pretty crowded on a Saturday. Lots of kiddos and dogs swimming in the river (which feels sooooo good). More families line the tiny shore than couples or river sports-doers. We brought a nice little picnic, towels, bad magazines so we could celebrity-stalk, and a portable speaker for some beachy weekend tunes. I get real lazy on any beach; kayaking and rafting aren't really for me, but you can totally get athletic if you want. The beach is very clean and small, the sand a bit rocky, and the water cold and shallow. I can see myself spending many a summer day here.. sunbathing (wear sunscreen!), picnicking, and people watching. The best!!

The pool is in a convenient location next to Congress Park (which also has a new playground). There is on off street parking lot, but it does fill up when the pool is busy. My younger kid took swim lessons here and was on the swim team as well. The renovated pool has been expanded to include a larger kids pool and primary pool as well as grassy area for relaxing and additional shade. There are new changing areas and everything feels fresh and clean. My favorite part of the remodel is that they kept the same overall feel and didn't gut it just to add splash features and slides etc..

I enjoy a lap swimming, and there's nothing quite like lap swimming in a 50 m pool. Their hours are posted on their website, where you can get information on when lap swimming is available, when they have swim team, swim lessons and open or public swims. There's a strong group at swimmers that show up for lap swimming. No worries, there's room for all sorts of swimmers, from those experienced at going back-and-forth and those just getting started. There's also a nice baby or kids pool, picnic tables, new locker rooms, lockers (bring your own lock), family changing rooms, some outdoor showers and a group of young lifeguards to keep track of everybody in the pools.

We have also been here as a family during the summer and the pool is lovely. You would want to come early and get a nice shady spot because they will be taken up fast. My kiddo had to do a swimming test to use the diving board in the summer and she failed both times so she had to stay in the larger shallower end of the pool. I appreciated their dedication to safety.

I was there with my six-year-old and some of his friends and my one year-old I think without the friends, my older child wouldn't have had as much fun, but the area was like perfect for my one-year-old she had a blast. I think without their parents there it's just chaos. It's hard to believe this is the only outdoor pool for Lone Tree residents. We were also over charged which I had to argue about and come back around the line to prove why I needed a refund.

The…read morepool itself is relatively nice and the chairs are comfy, but the locker room definitely needs some attention. It was dirty and there was wet toilet paper everywhere. While I was there I saw a lifeguard rescue a small kid (maybe 7) from the shallow end of the pool and no less than 30 minutes later the same kid was jumping off the diving board and going down the deep end slide. He was barely keeping his head above water but struggled to get to the side of the pool. The lifeguards should be more attentive to that child and probably shouldn't have let him go into the deep end. But - it's not my pool to run. Just a personal opinion.

The day we went was very hot and crowded but there was still available seating and what looked like more than adequate lifeguards to keep everyone safe in each area. I'll update my rating if future visits change my opinion, but as things stand I can't wait to bring the kiddos here weekly all summer since it's so close to us. (And yes, there are people of various ages and genders wearing very little clothing, including revealing swimwear. I also saw adults and children in extremely modest clothing covering everything but faces, hands, and feet. This is a public water park in a country that allows freedom of expression, so dress yourself and your family how you prefer and avert your eyes from anything that bothers you if you choose to visit.)

Bay Aquatic Park has a few different areas to swim and they have several slides. They also have a…read moresnack bar area and plenty of grassy areas or chairs to relax around the pool. They offer free lockers that you can use with your own lock to store your items. We recently went to Bay Aquatic Park specifically for their night glow swimming that's offered a few times a week on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays 6pm-9:30pm. Our group and others around us asked the lifeguards when the lights would turn on since it was after 8:30 and the lights were still not on and the park closed at 9:30. We were told they weren't sure, but likely soon. Around 9pm we heard over the intercom that they were closing the pool due to low visibility so that was the end of our night. It was disappointing since we drove up from Northern Colorado to experience their night glow swimming that we've seen on social media and we didn't get to experience it. Other than that, it was a good experience and we would swim here again.

The facility is great. The lifeguards were great. But the people who set the policies and run the…read moreshow over there need to make sure that they stay employed by a government entity. Their lack of desire or ability to be reasonable and accommodating in their policies would not be successful in a competitive market. If they were to get another job, I would recommend to them the IRS or the DMV, where they could arrive on their first day of work, fully trained in the principles of not providing logical and reasonably accommodating treatment of their customers.

They have a lap pool and they also have a warmer pool that includes a lazy river and a couple of lap lanes, along with the children's play area. We were there on a weekday afternoon well swim lessons were going on, but had plenty of space to use one lap lane and the lazy river. They have a set of steps to enter by the lazy river and they have a chairlift that enters into one of the lanes. There's also a hot tub that has steps with a rail to get in. In the family locker room there are two accessible changing rooms with a bathroom and shower, including a shower bench and adjustable showerhead. They have an automatic door opener, which is phenomenal, however, the lock is up pretty high, which makes it less accessible for wheelchair users, and short people. there are two other changing rooms in the family locker space that don't have the automatic button, adjustable showerhead, or shower bench, or grab bars on the toilet, but are still fairly large and have space for a wheelchair user There was plenty of accessible parking and automatic doors to get into the building. The space exiting was pretty tight due to how they have the chairs arranged, somebody with a larger wheelchair may have to exit through the entry lane. We also used the steam room, there was no automatic door, but the door wasn't terribly heavy. We've been to lots of rec centers in the Denver Metro area, and this is definitely one of the most accessible
