I purchased a Groupon for one microblading session, but when I arrived, the provider told me that I had to pay an additional $125 because the deal did not include shading. She insisted the brows would not look good without shading and a follow-up. She became argumentative when I questioned what I had already paid for. I felt pressured and taken advantage of. Reluctantly, I paid the extra $125. At no point was I informed that purchasing a single session would be essentially useless. This practice feels deceptive, and the way it was handled was extremely unprofessional and unethical. To make matters worse, she was 30 minutes late to our first appointment. For the second appointment, she texted me at the last minute to delay our session by an hour and a half. Without so much as an apology. Overall, it was a horrible experience! Now I actually feel bad that I never wrote a review on my experience with this woman as the same thing clearly happened to MORE PEOPLE after it did to me. Sorry for the length, this is a whopper of a story, though... ALL should read this before booking with Dana. At the end of March 2019, I bought a groupon for Dana's microblading service. I read the groupon/yelp reviews and the vast majority of them were great. I figured you can't always make everyone happy. So I booked an appointment for 2 days later (paid the $50 deposit and scheduled it on her website). I was so excited. I even left work an hour early so I could make it to the appointment on time (with traffic, it was exactly an hour drive). When I walked into the boutique and towards her suite, I noticed the lights were off and no one was there. My heart stopped and a flashback of what I read from Tara S's post on here a month prior popped into my head. I thought to myself, NO... the situation she wrote about is happening to me, too. Calmed myself down and gave her the benefit of the doubt- Maybe she is running late. Decided after a few minutes of waiting to call the number on her card. She answered, but it was really hard to hear her. I told her my name and asked if she was coming to the appointment. She asked if I had made the appointment through her. Yes, I purchased through groupon but obviously scheduled on your website and paid your separate $50 deposit. She then tells me no, you have to call to make the appointment and mumbled something about how groupon "always does this to her". At this point I literally just want to know if she is coming. She said she was at a barber shop so I offered to wait, letting her know how far i had driven to make it there. Her response was, "Oh, there is no way i can make it there tonight. I have a game to go to. I'll reverse the $50 deposit". Like, that wasn't really the point, but okay? Either way- No apology, nothing. Then she said she'd call me right back to reschedule. Hung up the phone completely dumbfounded. Like dude, is she for real? I was so disappointed. Drove the hour home and contacted the girl i go to for my eyelash extensions. She recommended someone that works in the suite next to her. (Her name is Maria and her business is called "Make Me Up Maria"- she is amazing). She offered to bring down her normal price as she had felt really bad about the situation I was in. Let's see, I remember this all happened on a Monday. Never even heard back from Dana that evening. Or the next day, actually. So that Tuesday evening, I e-mailed her reminding her to refund my deposit. Still no answer- the following (Wednesday) morning i e-mailed her again, this time letting her know if I didn't get a response from her by the end of that day that I was going to dispute the charge with Wells Fargo. That must've gotten her attention because I received a response that night... First from her husband, saying he'd talk to her and figure out something to "make me happy". Then I got 2 e-mails from her shortly thereafter. One saying to "Please forgive me" and that she handled the situation wrong. The second said to contact her to reschedule and the touch up appointment would be on her. I mean that's cool, but a little too late at this point. Anyone that handles their business in that way isn't touching my face, sorry. I noticed her husband had also reversed the charge that night, as well.. So I just left it alone and never responded to them. I figured that i got my money back and there wasn't much left to say at that point. I wasn't going to write a negative review against her as I figured she did apologize/try to remedy the situation... But looking through these reviews now and seeing that she did this to even more people after me just gets under my skin. The whole situation was bizarre and unprofessional. I think there are enough negative reviews now that people would steer clear but I wanted to share my experience. I actually wrote this review right after it happened in 2019, I just didn't submit it because I felt bad. Now I don't. read more

I was recommended to Dana by a friend. A month ago she did my first session however you can't even tell anything happened. I booked my second appointment, which she assured me would give me the results I was looking for, I drove over an HOUR only for her to not be there. When I contacted her she told me it was my error. I text her a screen shot of our conversation. Then refused to refund my money and hung up on me. I own a business. If you make a mistake, you should right it. No one is perfect but blaming the customer and refusing to right the mistake is not good business. She expected me to drive back to her shop over an hour (as if I don't have a job) to rectify her mistake. Needless to say I will cut my losses and never return. read more

Couldn't be happier with the service provided by Dana! I went in for Microblading because I literally had almost no natural eyebrows and what little I had have no natural arc whatsoever. I was honestly not expected to LOVE my brows as much as I do!! Dana's work is top notch; she listened to what I wanted and was extremely patient letting me stop and look and ask questions through every step of the process. My eye brows came out great right after they were done but not one stroke lasted, they all scabbed and fell off. Then when it came time for my 4 week check up Dana cancelled my appointment and could not get me in unless it was during the day (during work hours) so I was never able to go back for a touch-up. read more

I made an online reservation and gave a $50 deposit- I called the place for two days prior to my appointment and then I texted the woman -anyway the place was closed and nobody showed up -what a waste of time and money-Now I have to file a case with my credit card to get the money back. read more

Very disappointed in the service I received. I wanted a natural look to my brows, just wanted them filled in so I would not have to to use eyebrow pencil ever day. Dana did not follow the original outline she drew on my brows. I let her know I was disappointed and she just kept saying that she did a beautiful job on the microblading. I went back for the touch up but there was no way she could correct the shape from the first session. I left without have the touch up. I'll have to let the microblading fade and then locate a more qualified salon. I am disappointed in the job she did, but even more disappointed in how rude and unprofessional Dana is. read more

I don't usually like to write reviews like these . But I felt like this one was necessary not only for future customers but also for the owners . Without a doubt this is indeed a great price for mircorblading . I purchased my micro blading session with 1 touch up . My first session went ok and I wished there was more helpful instructions as she hasn't told me anything about after care I had to google it ! Within couple days the ink washed off I ended up penciling my brows in ! After 4 weeks it was my second session and I had hard time getting a hold of her , you have to call several times and leave messages ,which are not being responded to in a timely manner . As I arrived to my appointment on time I waited another half an hour before I was numbed for the procedure . The owners were busy talking about their life's and doing things around the salon so I had to say something before she realized that she didn't even put any numbing cream on me . I felt like I was not welcomed there and that is not how you treat your customers ! I felt like leaving at that point ! Regardless I stayed she did my brows and they were uneven . I had to point out to her were the corrections needed to be made . She was getting a bit frustrated with me because her time was running out as more people kept showing up ! ( she only worked on my brows for 30 min ) In that 30 minutes she did micro blading and micro shading which is an extra charge. As if it couldn't get worse her credit machine was down and she send me to bank to give her cash , which ok it happens but why wouldn't you say something in advance! It has been couple days since my brows were done and the ink is coming off again ! I put on Vaseline when I showered and haven't touched them at all ! I learned my lesson not to buy cheap Groupon deals like these for the future and go to someone that has time for me as their customer to not only get nice brows but also good overall experience. read more

I'm so disappointed to leave a negative review even though my moms eyebrows look great!!! My mom got this as a gift from my dad fully paid yet she had to pay a deposit to secure an appointment- no problem BUT she was never refunded her appointment deposit even though Dana said she would multiple times. It's getting frustrating that her deposit hasn't been returned . It's like stealing ! Again so sad to write this as I'd like nothing more than to say it was great! Return your deposits! read more
