So glad to find this small business in our own backyard. I brought my Apple 13 pro to be evaluated for inconsistent charging port issues. We have a Best Buy Geek Squad service and after diagnostic work, we were told that a $450-500 repair was needed. This business offered the same repair for $150. They stated they would test the part before installing and if it did not do the trick, their labor would be $75. They also recommended a battery replacement, while the work was being completed, as mine was borderline after 3-years use. The cost of the battery would have been $75. We had checked with a non-certified Apple T-mobile store who offered us $200 on a replacement phone. Had that been our best option, I would have paid the $225 to fix my current phone (which worked well other than the charging port issue). The Pod Drop also recommended we check with a T-mobile certified Apple Store to see if there was a better deal on a new phone. We did just that and chose to turn in the phone and receive a new phone at no cost, with some tweaks to our plan that did not change the monthly payment. Returned to The Pod Drop to pick up the phone and turn it in to T-mobile. The staff were honest, informative and professional. For this interaction, they did not make a cent, yet they earned a loyal family-customers. We will return to them for all-things cellular. Noticed some good pricing on phone cases and other accessories too. I will be calling their store to check on stock and prices before ordering from Amazon or another big box store. Really appreciate small businesses like this. read more

Brought my iPhone there because it was completely locked; I couldn't even shut my phone off. Danny, the owner fixed it within a minute. Oh and I had a cracked screen saver and he said we replace these for free. What an awesome guy and business and in our backyard. Danny and team took care of me like no other when I went to drop off my wife's iPhone. Screen was fixed quickly and works like new. I accidentally told him I had a different model iPhone that would have been a more expensive screen. He could have easily kept the up charge without saying a word but made sure to give me the lower price. He also throws in a screen protector and cleaned the charging port. A while ago, I purchased a refurbished 4th generation iPod online and managed to drop it one too many times shortly thereafter. The screen went completely blank and non-responsive. I thought I really did it this time and was out of luck. But after searching online for a repair service, I came up with the only alternative outside of Apple's notorious out of warranty, out of state "service centers": The Pod Drop. Their other store location is in Shelby and I was happy they had this closer sister store. First, their website is fantastic. It is very user friendly, interactive and informative. They help you to trouble shoot your problem. They can provide parts for the DIYers out there too. They show ways to mail your iPod/iPhone for service for those who can't personally bring theirs in. They are upfront about their pricing and are cheaper than the average. The website also has a link to a video from WDIV's Ruth To The Rescue segment about them. When I eventually brought my iPod in, I was expecting to have to drop it off, as the service's name implied, but fortunately, I think I was there on a slow day and the tech took it right in and started to do the work on the spot! Another man stopped in to deliver some repairs from the other location and I chatted with him. He seemed like a really nice person and I later found out that he was, in fact, the owner. I wound up having to buy a new LED screen and a battery (just to be on the safe side). I was delighted to find that they also carried a leather carrying case for my dinosaur of technology and made an easy decision to add it to purchase (How much? $10? SOLD!) They also sell many accessories for the mp3s/mp4s and cellphones. Plus, they sell refurbished iPods in their counter case. The owner noticed the protective Gelaskins graphic plastic cover on my iPod and inquired about it. It is a great and cost effective product as well and I hope he decides to carry them in the future. The service was quick and thorough.The total time I was there was probably a little over a half an hour! The price was right and I was leaving as one happy camper with my good-as-(sort of) new mp3 and handy carrying case. The only thing that would be counted as a possible negative: the repair guy erroneously left a Christian Rock band's album on my mp3. Easily fixed/deleted. read more

These guys are terrific! Have been there several times and they are friendly, professional, and provide outstanding customer service! Was in recently when my wife's iPhone 13 wouldn't power up. After looking at it a couple of minutes, they did a soft reset and it powered right up. Then they showed me how to do it if I need to in the future. Then they cleaned up the phone and it looked brand new. When I asked how much I owed, they said "no charge". When was the last time you heard that? Can't give them a high enough rating. Absolutely amazing! Came in because my phone battery kept dying, This was the day before The Pod Drop closed due to COVID-19. Danny was helping me out and he was absolutely AMAZING! not only did they fix my battery free of charge but they also gave me a temporary back up phone just in case the battery didn't work for some reason. I came in after work in my scrubs (being a nurse) so everything was on them to thank me for what I do! My children have also came to this establishment to get their phones repaired and they had nothing but nice things to say about the owner and the way they treated them! These guys moved over by the Oakland Mall. I have had two batteries replaced on my various Ipods. The service is good and they appear to know what they are doing. If you need your Ipod repaired, there is probably no better alternative. Have brought 4 more of the family's iproducts for service to this place; all but one had successful results.
