Allow me to elaborate on today's experience. I walk into Lowes -Mt. Olive and head straight back to the appliance dept. I am looking for a new stove. An employee, we will call him "H" is assisting another customer. I stand nearby, never greeted or even noticed. I eventually say excuse me is there another employee in this department that can help me, "H" says, "yeah, he's around here somewhere" rather than him calling the other employee, I have to go on a damn scavenger hunt. The hunt turns up nothing. I return to the counter where "H" is still assisting the other customer who is now on the phone contemplating whatever purchase they are considering. I say to "H" can you call the other employee? He says, yeah... Like really? You could have done that all along? humph.. The other employee replies to the call after "H'" says there is a woman here needing help. The other employee replies, "Yeah, in a minute" Wow!! I wait around for a few more minutes, never to meet the other employee, I eventually say to "H" whelp Home Depot gets my money; "H" replies "okay, bye" I then go to the front desk to ask for the manager, giving a snippet of my experience today to the employee at the counter. A manager is called but again after a few minutes of waiting never comes up. I tell the employee at the counter, thanks and please let your manager know that they can read the review here, just like the rest of you. @Lowes-train your people @Lowes-poor customer service is not acceptable

We have spent an extraordinary amount of money in both of these stores. We rarely need to make returns, but we just had a recent instance of having to return 5 bags of polymeric sand because we decided to have the job done by a contractor. I saved the receipt and my husband went to the store to return the sand. It was a VERY UNPLEASANT experience to learn that there is a 90 day window on returns (with receipt) and NO EXCEPTIONS ARE GRANTED FOR A RESELLABLE ITEM such as polymeric sand! Needless to say, we have made our LAST purchase at Lowes and I will be sharing this VERY NEGATIVE experience EVERYWHERE I can.

Block is definitely a premium service with a premium cost but they delivered on time, without hassle with a great product. The designer, Ryan and contractor, Mladen were really amazing and made the process painless. We are very happy with the outcome and if we were in a similar situation would definitely use them again. Some additional info, we have a 130 year old home with plenty of hidden fun behind the walls that needed remedying on top of the agreed upon work. The contractor and the team at Block updated the scope and the work was done with no problems. Overall, very happy with the work.

Everyone else at Block was really responsive as well -- any questions we had were addressed promptly. The contractor they paired us with was really nice and responsive as well. Looking back, the two main things I wish I had realized going into the process with Block: - Many of their recommended materials were on the more expensive side. I wish there was more transparent (dollar amount) pricing, and comparison options (e.g. $80 hook vs $20 hook). - I expected our contractor to be more proactive with communication if their work didn't line up with Block's design. In reality, I needed to be more proactive in monitoring their work during the process. But I didn't realize that until far along into the process. Again, overall Block made the process really smooth and easy -- especially for someone with limited availability during business hours. Would likely use them again for a similar big project.

I was never explained anything via email. I merely sent an email and I guess they sent it to the fabricator. They need to get their facts straight before responding that I visited their store. The quote also did not say whether it included a backsplash or without a backsplash no details whatsoever except the price of 8500+ for a small kitchen. They should know who they're sending these to and review them before sending quotes out. I don't I'm paying a little more for things but 2 1/2 times the price is absurd.

Parts were installed incorrectly, there was dirt and writing left of pieces, the wood glue used on every single piece was dirty. They came back to fix it which slightly improved things but overall, the experience with them was awful and the final product was not worth what we paid for. I would not recommend this company to anyone.

We hired Tristate Stone and Tile for a custom sink and countertop install. While the final sink…read moreitself turned out beautiful, the overall experience was frustrating and disappointing. As others have stated, they aren't very customer service focused with emails and phone calls left unanswered for days and weeks. Communication was poor from the start, with very little sense of urgency. Their installers broke our medicine cabinet during installation -- then blamed us and our contractor, saying it shouldn't have been installed yet. This was never communicated beforehand, and we had made it clear they would be responsible for any damage. While they eventually agreed to cover the cost, we had to chase them for weeks to get reimbursed. They also removed the doors from our vanity cabinet and lost the hinge screws, which caused further unnecessary delays. The sink arrived unfinished, with glue all over the inside of the custom basin. We were empathetic to the fact that they're short-staffed, but the delays dragged our project out by months. To their credit, they were honest and ultimately made good on everything -- but only after persistent follow-up. If you choose to work with them, be ready to stay on top of every detail yourself.
