My toy poodle 10min back home from the Platiumim pooch. She is so calm and relaxed because of how well Donna treats her

Great business that does a fantastic job, my Toy Poodle always comes back looking great and the owner Donna treats all the animals there with great love and attention

I am ABSOLUTELY disgusted by this situation that happened at Platinum Pooch in Verona. I took two of my pups there on Jan 15, 2020 to be groomed. My normal groomer was booked solid for weeks and couldn't get us in and my dog needed a bath pretty bad so I decided to go to the Platinum Pooch since it was close and Donna said she could get me in. I dropped my two pups off and a few hours later I get a text message saying they were ready for pickup. When I got there, I immediately noticed my one dog Teddy looked scared and extra clingy and I just attributed it to him missing me. Wrong! He was hurting. When I got home, I was petting him and he would jerk away as if petting him was hurting him. I looked closer through his fur at his skin and it was bright red! It was Clipper Burn, caused by either dull blades or hot clippers! Donna completely denied it was clipper burn and said that that is impossible . She said it could be irritation from the products she used, but then said she only uses all natural products. So which is it?!! I was furious! I also looked at his nails and noticed the she ground down 5 of his nails to the point where the quick was exposed and could tell they were bleeding. When I was also there getting my other dog Petey, she said everything went great and there was no incidents. "They did great" I was told. Donna went and got Petey from the back and she was talking to him and said "We had to fight today huh Petey, but you're still a good boy". I didn't think anything of it until I got home and noticed Petey was hurt much worse! In addition to two of his nails also being ground down to the point of bleeding, he had a blood spot on his head, small clipper burn spots also, but the worst was his eye. It was FULL of blood! I was beyond livid at this point! I replied to the text but it was later and got no reply that night. The next day I called Donna again and her response was "I might have got some shampoo in his eye". This was MUCH worse than an irritant from shampoo in his eye! She also denied that anything was her fault. She did say only one nail bled. She just kept going around and around about how it couldn't have possibly happened it wasn't her fault. She did say she didn't want us to go to our normal vet, and she did want us to take him to Avets Emergency vet, to get his eye checked and she did pay the bill. The vet concluded that the eye injury was due to him basically being choked by a collar that was too tight and it burst the blood vessels in his eye. Are you kidding me!?! I put my dogs, which are my children in your care and both come home hurt! Yes, she paid the vet bill, BUT they should have never been injured in the first place under her care! I would NEVER, EVER recommend The Platinum Pooch to anyone! And I most certainly will NEVER be back! If you care about the safety of your pets, do NOT go there, EVER!

Arianne has been Ivy's groomer for years. We followed her to the Platinum Pooch due to how great she is! Worth the drive and a nice little coffee shop to wait at around the corner. Great rates and excellent treatment of Ivy...

My cat Kelly loves her groomer. Kelly looks amazing after she goes to the "spa" where she gets a bath, hair and nails cut.

I've taken my dog here a few times now for nail trims. She is pretty spicy when it comes to nail…read moretrims and they do a great job with her. She's pretty nervous too and they're so kind to greet her and give her snuggles before starting. It's very clean inside and they have a retail area too. Would recommend!

This would have been the third time going since we moved here in September. Clearly we take on a…read moreregular basis. We had an apt scheduled for April 2, we were returning home on the 1st. They texted on March 27th informing us they had to cancel bc Tim had family obligations. NO BIG DEAL!! Stuff happens and things come up. They asked to reschedule in the messages but we were away and I didn't have great service and when we got back I forgot about it. We had to put our older dog down , our own family stuff...whatever, life! I text on April 29th, apologizing by for not responding and looking g to schedule our apt. I receive a message that basically ally bc I didn't keep up with the 10 week schedule (which we never agreed on but did agree to a seasonal cut) that Tim would no longer take us as a client and because our dog was bigger and more difficult no one else could do it. WAIT!! You cancelled that apt, not me!! We would have been there! And then I have to make my schedule fit within a 1 week window that you cancelled on??? Now, I know she's difficult, she big and if she doesn't want to do something uses her weight to her advantage. So, if that was the reason I could totally u detract and wouldn't even leave a negative review, bc that's honest. However, trying to blame me, when YOU cancelled, having this be the 3RD apt in the 7mon we've lived here. Almost averaging every other month, but complaining about consistency, when I didn't cancel the apt!! I'll take my faults, I didn't text back, I don't text back my best friends bc I have kids, I had a dying dog that required care most of the day, and just life. But still it's not cool to not respond within a certain time frame, so I'm sorry. I called to talk to them in person and was promised a call back after Tim got done with a dog he currently had in the Tub, that was 4hrs ago...I would have loved to rectify this without a review, but if you'll lie about me missing the apt that I have the text to prove what else will you lie about...

Tried to talk to owner who just gave excuses. The two walk in's cost $6.00 less than my one dog No satisfaction at all! If I could give minus 5 I would! Rachael is not a good business person, she has a lot to learn!

I went to Groomer's Touch for about 10 years. It was great when Jen was the owner. Now that Rachel…read morehas taken over it appears she not a good business person. I have stayed with her but now I cannot. I called the day before my appointment for my female Airedale terrier this week. She's raised her prices again and I wanted to know the price. She quoted me $85 which as a $20 jump but I accepted it. The morning of the appointment my girl came in with small burr seeds in her coat. I spent some time brushing her legs and belly as well as beard to remove the bulk of them, her torso too but it is quite short cut. My dogs are very active but given the dry hot weather (and fact I've showered them numerous times to cool them off) she was not that dirty since there's no mud to get into as she loves to do. I dropped her off with clipping instructions to take her a bit shorter on her legs. When I arrived to pick her up I was charged $107. This is the second time with has been done to me and this time it was a slap in the face given I called the day before for the price. (I was charged $20 extra another time for my boy which I thought was slimy business practices. Dogs are dirty, groomers clean dogs. That's your business, right?) I protested the extra charge. The girl said "I talked to Rachel, had to bath her twice and she was matted). Bull. She was not matted as I brushed her before I brought her. She shouldn't have needed two baths if she was bathed properly the first time. And she says the new cut took longer. If you don't know a proper groom for an Airedale that is your problem. You are dog groomers who should know your business. And she nicked Mina's private parts in the process. I met a woman right after at another groomers I stopped at on the way home who also used to go the GT with Jen but found Rachel's grooming skills and professionalism lacking. Long story short. I'm done. I will not go back. You're a business owner but won't be for long at this rate, Rachel. Ps. I just got off the phone with Rachel. Although I was told the additional bathe I was charged extra now is standard - she said and I quote 'we bath all dogs twice; b) that the $85 was just a 'base price' so any additional charges- beware! They can charge what they like. And then she hung up on me.

When I picked her up, they told me the groomer couldn't finish the job because she kept biting the groomer. I replied that she has never bitten or nipped a groomer & I was certain the reason for the behavior had to be because of the groomer. The manager and I argued back-and-forth. He held his ground and insisted it was my dog, and I insisted it was his groomer. After getting home, I noticed that my Yorkie kept licking herself. I looked more closely and saw the reason why she was nipping the groomer. He had injured her with a large clipper burn near her belly. I took a photo & went back to the Dog Stop to show the photo to the manager, Caleb, who offered such a lame apology that I felt it necessary to tell him that it was no apology at all - a further disappointment, and I told him so. I asked for a refund, which he did give me and then I went directly to the Vet for ointment.
