Summit Sprouts's owner is passionate about your garden success. This is one of those places where supporting your local business is a win for you! This year, we have (so far!) purchased two fruit trees, flower baskets, landscape plants, organic manure and fertilizers, and all of our veggie starters, as well as a wind chime that my husband actually LOVES. Do not do this go right past sinto and it's the cute little brick building right on the southwest corner of Argonne and Sinto. A variety of cute little plants and she was most helpful telling me how to care for things as I have the biggest brown thumb. I picked out a cute little succulent and a tiny pot. She took the time to pot it for me and tell me how to care for it. She mentioned there was macrame classes but currently nothing scheduled. This is a super popular thing and sounds interesting to learn about. I would have never known this quaint little shop was here had she not signed up for a Yelp event. This was my second year attending the Farm Chicks show and let me say, this year was better than…read morelast year! If you love to see creativity at it's best, please come to the Farm Chicks show. It just makes for a fun girls weekend. Last year was my first trip to Spokane and it's a much more charming town that I thought. Lots of funky thrift shops here and in Coeur d'Alene (which is barely 30 minutes away). You can take one day for junkin' and one day for the Farm Chicks. It's $6 for both days and bring your camera and a notebook because you'll want to write down all the cute ideas you find. My find of the day at the show was a $10 vintage watch from http://www.athingforroses.blogspot.com/. Be prepared to wait outside for a few to get in - my friend took a picture of the line to get in, which I will try and snag and post. But it's one of those lines where you talk to everyone in it - which makes it fun. Also, I would recommend bringing cash if you are going to buy - not too many places took cards. If you love vintage finds, make the pilgrimage - and don't forget to wear your apron!
